ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Class 1 Conguration
e wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
GREEN/YELLOW: EARTH (E)
BLUE: NEUTRAL (N)
BROWN: LIVE (L)
Class 1 Conguration
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with
the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
e wire which is coloured GREEN & YELLOW (or coloured GREEN) must be connected
to the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter “E” or by the earth symbol .
e wire which is coloured BLUE (or coloured BLACK) must be connected to the NEUTRAL
terminal which is marked with the letter “N”.
e wire which is coloured BROWN (or coloured RED) must be connected to the LIVE
terminal which is marked with the letter “L”.
Always ensure that the Mains Cord is xed into the plug through the Cord Guard or Cable
Clamp, (plug wiring diagram above), and that the Cord Guard screws are tightened to clamp
the cord (outer sheath and inner coloured wires) into position in the plug. Make sure that
the plug top is also tted securely.
is appliance must be protected by a 13 Amp fuse in a 13 Amp type (BS1363) plug. Should
you need to replace the fuse, use only a 13Amp ASTA approved BS1362 fuse (13A).
OPERATIONAL GUIDELINES

using the UK 13 Amp socket system. If in doubt, consult a qualied electrician.

Aer you nish using this product, please recycle the product for disposal in accordance with lo-
cal regulations.
OPERATION
Only connect the appliance to a correctly installed safety plug (220-240V 50Hz).
Turn the selector switch clockwise to set the toasting level from the lightest stage 1 to the darkest
stage 6. If in any doubt, start with the lower setting (the black mark on the selector switch shows
you the setting).
Insert sliced bread into the toasting slot and push down the lever until it locks.
e appliance starts toasting. e appliance switches o immediately once the set degree of
toasting has been reached. e toast then pops up automatically.
e toaster only allowed 2 slices of the toaster to be toasted at a time.
If you wish to use the special functions, push the button Cancel: To stop toasting prematurely
CLEANING
Before cleaning, remove the plug from the socket and allow the appliance to cool down.
Use a moderately damp cloth to clean the outside of the appliance.
Do not use any aggressive or scrubbing detergents.
Grasp the crumb sha by the loop and pull it out, remove the bread residue and push the sha
back in.
