How to unfold the light shaper and mount the lamp head.
Öffnen des Lichtformers und Einsetzen des Lampenkopfes.
Mise en place.
Attach the light shaper on tripod
or boom arm.
Befestigen Sie den Lichtformer am
Stativ oder auf der Giraffe.
Monter le façonneur sur un
trépied ou sur une girafe.
Open the light shaper by pushing the two central rings
against each other. The lock will snap-in automatically.
Öffnen Sie den Lichtformer indem Sie die beiden
Metallringe im Zentrum zueinander führen. In der
Endstellung werden sie automatisch verriegelt.
Ouvrez le façonneur en rejoignant les deux disques.
Leur verrouillage est automatique.
Mount the ELINCHROM® lamp head and pull the cable
through the spot in the reflection cloth (VELCRO®-
fastener).
Befestigen Sie den ELINCHROM® Lampenkopf und
ziehen Sie das Kabel durch den hierfür vorgesehenen
Schlitz (VELCRO®-Verschluss).
Mettez en place une torche ELINCHROM® et passez le
ou les câbles par l'orifice prévu (fermeture VELCRO®).
EL Recta / EL Strip
Introduce the ends of the two metal rods into the 4
corners of the light shaper.
Gleiten Sie die beiden Spannstabe in die vier Ecken.
Bien placer les deux raidisseurs.
Attaching the diffusing cloth and secure the main
diffusing cloth with the eight VELCRO®-fastening tapes
along the edges.
Das Diffusionstuch wird mittels Klettband befestigt.
Poser le diffuseur.
La bonne tenue du diffuseur est assurée par des
bandes VELCRO® reparties sur les cotes.

Remove the diffuser. EL Recta and EL Strip: remove the stretching rods.

Hold the two central rings and push the locking button.
Halten Sie die beiden Metallringe und verschieben Sie

Mount the open light shaper in horizontal position on a tripod.
Pull the umbrella rods out of each corner.
Lichtformer in horizontaler Lage auf einem Stativ befestigen
und Schirmstangen aus den Ecken herausziehen.
Disposer la grande surface ouverte et à l'horizontale sur un
trépied, Retirer la toile en dégageant l'une après l'autre
l'extrémité de chaque baleine.
Fold the light shaper and place it on the floor in upright
position. Engage the 4 nuts into the eyelets of the new cloth.
Lichtformer zusammenklappen und in aufrechter Position auf
den Boden stellen, Die 4 Metallbolzen müssen ganz in die
metallgefassten Aussparungen des Reflecktionstuches
eingeführt sein.
Plier l'armature et la poser debout sur le sol. Insérer les quatre
œillets, du centre de la nouvelle toile, sur le dos de l'armature.
Put the light shaper backside down on the
floor but make sure that the center of the
cloth stays in place. Engage an umbrella rod
with its plastic cap in each corner of the cloth.
Lichtformer mit den Rückteil nach unten auf
den Boden legen und darauf achten, dass der
zentrale Teil des Tuches sich nicht vom
Metallring löst. Stecken Sie nun je eine
Schirmstange mit Plastikschutz in jede Ecke
des Tuches.
Retourner complètement l'ensemble en
prenant garde que le centre de la toile reste
en place, Engager chaque baleine a sa place
respective, Le bout de la baleine devant être
muni du capuchon de protection.

1) Washing by hand only at less than 20°C with powder for cold washing.
Nur von Hand waschen in weniger als 20°C warmem Wasser und mit Pulver für kaltes Waschen.
Lavage uniquement a la main a moins de 20°C avec lessive pour lavage a froid.
2) Leave it in the water over night, then rub it slightly if necessary without wringing it.
Rinse it during one hour under running water.
Über Nacht im Wasser lassen, dann, wenn nötig, ein wenig abreiben ohne das Tuch zu zerknittern. Das Tuch wahrend
einer Stunde spülen.
Laisser tremper une nuit, frotter légèrement si nécessaire, sans tordre la toile. Rincer une heure a I’eau courante.
3) Hang it up 2-3 times in different positions to drain the water.
2-3 mal in verschiedenen Lagen aufhängen bis das Wasser abgetropft ist.
Laisser égoutter le diffuseur dans différentes positions.
4) Iron the cloth while it is still very humid, as illustrated below: (on position NYLON).
Bügeln Sie das Tuch wahrend es noch sehr feucht ist, wie nachfolgend erklärt: (in Stellung NYLON).
Repasser la toile encore très humide de manière expliquée ci-dessous: (fer en position NYLON).
A) Put the light shaper into horizontal position.
Bringen Sie den Lichtformer in horizontale Lage.
Disposer la grande surface à l'horizontale.
B) Attach the diffuser and remove the reflective cloth as one goes along from one rod to the next ones.
Entfernen Sie das Reflektionstuch und montieren Sie den Diffusor schrittweise an einer Schirmstange nach der andern.
Enlever la toile réfléchissante et la retrousser au fur et à mesure que I'on pose le diffuseur au bout de chaque baleine.
C) Place the light shaper on a table covered with ironing cloth.
Legen Sie den Lichtformer auf einen mit Bügeltuch versehenen Tisch. Placer le diffuseur sur une table munie d'un drap
de repassage.
D) Stretch the black tissue along the edge and iron the diffuser from center towards the edge (humidify it regularly if
necessary).
Spannen Sie die schwarzen Ränder und bügeln Sie den Diffusor vom Zentrum nach außen (regelmassig befeuchten
wenn nötig).
Tendre régulièrement la bordure noire et repasser le diffuseur en partant du centre vers les bords (humecter
régulièrement si nécessaire).
E) Having ironed the white double cloth of the diffuser remove it from the framework. Iron the black edge while
stretching it sufficiently.
Nach dem Bügeln des weißen Diffusionstuches entfernen Sie dieses vom Schirmgestell und bügeln Sie die schwarzen
Ränder wahrend Sie diese gleichzeitig strecken.
Apres repassage de la toile blanche retirer le diffuseur de l'armature. Exercer une traction suffisante sur la bordure
noire et la repasser.

Flattering the wrinkles of a diffuser

Amélioration de la surface de la toile
This may be necessary when you find a brand new diffuser slightly loose (not stretched enough) and with a few wrinkles.
Place the light shaper without lamp head in horizontal position above a humidifier (heated water etc.) at a distance of
about 60 to 80 cm and let it dry in the same position.
Neue gefaltete und ein wenig durchhängende oder faltige Diffusoren werden wie folgt geglättet· Befestigen Sie den
Lichtformer ohne Lampenkopf in horizontaler Lage, 60 bis 80 cm über einem Wasserverdampfer (Heißwasser,
Luftbefeuchter, etc.) und lassen Sie ihn in dieser Stellung trocknen.
Recommande lorsque la toile est neuve, trop ample ou légèrement froissée: Placer la grande surface horizontalement
(sans torche) entre 60 et 80 cm d'un générateur de vapeur : plaque chauffante et casserole d'eau, humidificateur, etc.
Laisser sécher dans la même position.
