1.1 Functies en kenmerken
De EM3992 is een 12Volt DC omvormer. De EM3993 is een 24Volt DC omvormer
Wanneer deze wordt gebruikt met een batterij, zoals de accu van je auto, boot of
camper, kun je een 230Volt AC apparaat op de EM3992/EM3993 aansluiten. Je kunt
veel apparaten aansluiten op de EM3992/EM3993. Apparaten zoals je televisie, je
mediaspeler (EM7180), laptop, koelbox en vele andere apparaten.
De EM3992/EM3993 heeft tevens een extra USB poort waarmee je veel verschillende
typen apparaten kunt opladen. Denk hierbij aan je mobiele telefoon, MP3 speler,
draagbare spelcomputer en nog veel meer.
Aangezien de EM3992/EM3993 een ingebouwde ventilator heeft, is de
EM3992/EM3993 ook te gebruiken in warme omgevingen. Ideaal wanneer je op
vakantie bent.

De EM3992/EM3993 is voorzien van een 3-weg beveiligingssysteem: De
EM3992/EM3993 heeft een overspanningbeveiliging, laagspanningsbeveiliging en is
voorzien van een extra zekering voor optimale veiligheid. Dankzij dit 3-weg
beveiligingssysteem hoef jij je geen zorgen te maken om de aangesloten apparaten.
De EM3992/EM3993 heeft de volgende specificaties:
•Ingangsvermogen: 12V DC (EM3992) 24V (EM3993)
•Uitgangsvermogen: 230V AC, 50Hz
•Maximale belastbaarheid: 300W, 600W Piekspanning (Piekspanning: Sommige
apparaten hebben tijdens het opstarten meer stroom nodig dan de stroom die
wordt gebruikt tijdens normaal gebruik. De EM3992/EM3993 is in staat om
kortstondige piekvermogens tot 600W aan te kunnen.)
•USB poort: 5V, 500mA
1.2 Inhoud van de verpakking
De volgende onderdelen zijn aanwezig in het pakket:
•EM3992 (12V) of EM3993 (24V) omvormer, sigarettenaansteker aansluiting en

2.0 De omvormer gebruiken
Controleer voor gebruik hoeveel stroom het aan te sluiten apparaat gebruikt. Gebruik
de EM3992/EM3993 niet als het apparaat meer dan 300W gebruikt. Alhoewel de
EM3992/EM3993 piekvermogens tot 600W aankan, dient het aangesloten apparaat
niet meer dan 300W te gebruiken tijdens normaal operationeel gebruik. Eminent is
niet verantwoordelijk voor directe of indirecte schade aan de EM3992/EM3993 of het
materiaal dat op de EM3992/EM3993 is aangesloten als gevolg van incorrect gebruik.
Zet de EM3992/EM3993 uit met behulp van de schakelaar als deze niet in gebruik is!
2.1 De omvormer gebruiken met de sigarettenaansteker
aansluiting
Volg de onderstaande stappen om de EM3992/EM3993 met de sigarettenaansteker
aansluiting te gebruiken.
1. Controleer de Wattage van het apparaat dat je wilt gebruiken. Het apparaat mag
niet meer dan 300W gebruiken tijdens normaal operationeel gebruik. (Het
wattage zal vermeld staan op het apparaat zelf of op de originele
voedingsadapter van het apparaat.)
2. Controleer of de EM3992/EM3993 is uitgeschakeld. De rode schakelaar dient op
de ‘Off’ stand te staan.

3. Pak de kabel met sigarettenaansteker aansluiting. Je ziet dat deze twee
verschillend gekleurde kabels heeft.
4. Sluit de rode kabel op de rode aansluiting (+) van de EM3992/EM3993 aan.
5. Sluit de zwarte kabel op de zwarte aansluiting (-) van de EM3992/EM3993 aan.
6. Sluit de omvormer met de sigarettenaansteker aansluiting op de
sigarettenaansluiting van je auto, boot, camper of andere stroomvoorziening aan.
7. Sluit het apparaat dat je wilt gebruiken op de 230V aansluiting van de
EM3992/EM3993 aan. Indien mogelijk dien je het apparaat nog niet in te
schakelen.
8. Zet je auto of boot op het contact met behulp van de contactsleutel.
9. Zet de rode schakelaar van de EM3992/EM3993 op de ‘On’ stand om de
EM3992 in te schakelen. Het groene lampje op de EM3992/EM3993 zal gaan
branden.
10. Het aangesloten apparaat heeft nu stroomtoevoer. Zet het apparaat nu aan.
2.2 De omvormer gebruiken met een accu
De EM3992 kan tevens rechtstreeks op de accu van je auto, boot, camper of ander
apparaat met een 12V accu worden aangesloten.
De EM3993 kan tevens rechtstreeks op de accu van je auto, boot, camper of ander
apparaat met een 24V accu worden aangesloten.
1. Controleer de Wattage van het apparaat dat je wilt gebruiken. Het apparaat mag
niet meer dan 300W gebruiken tijdens normaal operationeel gebruik. (Het
wattage zal vermeld staan op het apparaat zelf of op de originele
voedingsadapter van het apparaat.)
2. Controleer of de EM3992/EM3993 is uitgeschakeld. De rode schakelaar dient op
de ‘Off’ stand te staan.
3. Pak de stroomkabel met de twee accuklemmen. Je ziet dat deze stroomkabels
twee verschillend gekleurde kabels heeft.
4. Sluit de rode kabel op de rode aansluiting (+) van de EM3992/EM3993 aan.
5. Sluit de zwarte kabel op de zwarte aansluiting (-) van de EM3992/EM3993 aan.
6. Sluit de zwarte accuklem van de stroomkabel op de – pool van je accu aan.
Normaal gesproken is de – pool van je accu ook zwartgekleurd.
7. Sluit de rode accuklem van de stroomkabel op de + pool van je accu aan.
Normaal gesproken heeft de + pool van je accu een rode kleur.
8. Sluit het apparaat dat je wilt gebruiken op de 230V aansluiting van de
EM3992/EM3993 aan. Indien mogelijk dien je het apparaat nog niet in te
schakelen.
9. Zet de rode schakelaar van de EM3992/EM3993 op de ‘On’ stand om de
EM3992/EM3993 in te schakelen. Het groene lampje op de EM3992 zal gaan
branden.
10. Het aangesloten apparaat heeft nu stroomtoevoer. Zet het apparaat nu aan.

2.3 De ingebouwde USB poort gebruiken
De EM3992/EM3993 is voorzien van een ingebouwde USB poort waarmee je USB
apparaten van stroom kunt voorzien en kunt opladen. Aangezien de USB poort van de
EM3992/EM3993 5Volt DC, 500mA levert, kun je apparaten zoals mobiele telefoons,
MP3 spelers, draagbare spelcomputers en andere apparaten opladen met deze USB
poort.
2.4 Tips voor optimaal accu gebruik
Je EM3992/EM3993 haalt de stroom van de aangesloten accu waar de
EM3992/EM3993 mee is verbonden. Een volledig opgeladen accu (Bijvoorbeeld een
accu van 40Ah) kan een 300W apparaat gedurende 1 uur van stroom voorzien.
Zwaardere accu’s (Meer ampère) zorgen ervoor dat het aangesloten apparaat langer
blijft werken.
Het is echter niet aangeraden om de accu volledig leeg te trekken. Accu’s die volledig
leeg zijn hebben een kortere levensduur.
Wil je berekenen hoe lang het aangesloten apparaat zal werken, dan kun je de
volgende berekening gebruiken:
8 x Accu capaciteit / hoeveelheid in Watt = het aantal uren
Voorbeeld: 40Ah Batterij, apparaat gebruikt 300 Watt:
8 x 40 / 300 = ongeveer 1.06 uur
Het maximaal te gebruiken wattage is afhankelijk van de zekering tussen de accu en
sigarettenaansteker. Als deze zekering te licht is, zal deze zekering zeker springen.
Een zekering van 30 Ampère kan worden gebruikt om apparaten tot 300W aan te
sluiten.

4.0 Waarschuwingen en aandachtspunten
Vanwege wet- en regelgeving bepaald door het Europese parlement, kan sommige
(draadloze) apparatuur onderhevig zijn aan beperkingen omtrent het gebruik in
bepaalde Europese lidstaten. In sommige Europese lidstaten kan het gebruik van
deze apparatuur verboden zijn. Neem contact op met je (lokale) overheid voor meer
informatie over deze beperkingen.
Volg ten allen tijde de instructies in de handleiding, speciaal wanneer het apparatuur
betreft wat geassembleerd dient te worden.
Waarschuwing: In de meeste gevallen gaat het om een elektronisch apparaat.
Verkeerd of oneigenlijk gebruik van het apparaat kan leiden tot (zware) verwondingen.
Het repareren van het apparaat dient uitgevoerd te worden door gekwalificeerd
Eminent personeel. De garantie vervalt per direct indien het apparaat zelf gerepareerd

5.0 Garantievoorwaarden
De garantietermijn van vijf jaar geldt voor alle Eminent producten, tenzij anders
aangegeven op het moment van aankoop. Bij aankoop van een tweedehands Eminent
product resteert de garantieperiode gemeten vanaf het moment van de aankoop door
de eerste eigenaar. De Eminent garantieregeling is van toepassing op alle Eminent
producten en onderdelen onlosmakelijk verbonden met het betreffende product.
Voedingen, batterijen, accu’s, antennes en alle andere producten niet geïntegreerd in
of direct verbonden met het hoofdproduct of producten waarvan redelijkerwijs mag
worden aangenomen dat deze een ander slijtagepatroon kennen dan het
hoofdproduct vallen derhalve niet onder de Eminent garantieregeling. De garantie
vervalt tevens bij onjuist of oneigenlijk gebruik, externe invloeden en/of bij opening van
de behuizing van het betreffende product door partijen anders dan Eminent.

1.1 Functions and features
The EM3992 is a 12 Volts DC inverter. The EM3993 is a 34 Volts DC inverter.
Combined with a battery, such as the battery in your car, boat or camper, you are able
to power a 230-Volt AC device. You can use a lot of devices on the EM3992/EM3993
such as your television, your media player (EM7180), notebook, cool box, radio and
many other devices.
The EM3992/EM3993 also offers an extra USB port which allows you to charge many
types of USB devices such as your mobile Phone, MP3 Player, portable game console
and many more.
Since the EM3992/EM3993 also has a built-in fan to prevent overheating, this device
can be used in warm environments. Ideal when you are on holiday.
The EM3992/EM3993 has a power surge protection, low voltage protection and the
EM3992/EM3993 has an extra fuse for optimum protection. Thanks to this 3-way
security system, there is no need to worry about your (connected) devices.

2.0 Using the inverter
Please check the Watt requirements of the device you wish to use with your
EM3992/EM3993.
Do not use your EM3992/EM3993 in combination with devices that require more than
300 Watts. Although the EM3992/EM3993 can handle peak power up-to 600W, the
average power consumption may not exceed 300W. Eminent is not responsible for
direct or indirect damage to equipment that is used with the EM3992/EM3993, or
damage to the EM3992/EM3993 itself as a result of improper use.
Turn off your EM3992/EM3993 using the switch on the back, when not in use.
2.1 Using the Inverter with cigarette lighter input (CLA)
Follow the instructions below to use your EM3992/EM3993 with the cigarette lighter
input (CLA).
1. Check if the Watt requirement of the device you want to use with the
EM3992/EM3993 does not exceed 300 Watts. (The wattage should be shown on
the device you want to use, or on the power adapter of the device.)
2. Check if the EM3992/EM3993 is powered off. The red switch on the back needs
be set to the ‘Off’ position.
3. Take the inverter with cigarette lighter input (CLA). You will notice two cables,
each cable has it’s own color.
4. Connect the red cable to the red connection (+) of the EM3992/EM3993.
5. Connect the black cable to the black connection (-) of the EM3992/EM3993.
6. Connect the inverter with cigarette lighter input to the cigarette lighter of your car,
boat, camper or another power source.

7. Connect the device you want to use to the 230V power output of your
EM3992/EM3993. Do not turn the device on yet if possible.
8. Turn the ignition of your car or boat to the ‘On’ position using the ignition key.
9. Switch the power button of the EM3992/EM3993 to the ‘On’ position. The green
power LED of the EM3992/EM3993 will be lit.
10. The connected device should receive power. Turn on the device.
2.2 Using the Inverter with battery power
The EM3992 can also be connected directly to the battery of your car, boat, camper or
other device with a 12V battery.
The EM3993 can also be connected directly to the battery of your car, boat, camper or
other device with a 24V battery.
1. Check if the Watt requirement of the device you want to use with the
EM3992/EM3993 does not exceed 300 Watts. (The wattage should be shown on

the – pole of your battery has a black color.
7. Connect the red clamp of the power cable to the + pole of your battery. Usually,
the + pole of your battery has a red color.
8. Connect the device you want to use to the 230V power output of your
EM3992/EM3993. Do not turn the device on yet if possible.
9. Switch the power button of the EM3992/EM3993 to the ‘On’ position. The green
power LED of the EM3992/EM3993 will be lit.
10. The connected device should receive power. Turn on the device.
2.3 Using the built-in USB port
The EM3992/EM3993 is equipped with an additional USB port which can be used to
power USB devices. Since the USB port of the EM3992/EM3993 supplies 5 Volts DC
at 500mA, mobile phones, MP3 players, portable gaming devices and other devices
can be charged using the USB port of the EM3992/EM3993.
2.4 Hints for optimal battery usage
Your EM3992/EM3993 uses power from the battery it is connected to.
A fully charged car battery (rated 40Ah) can power a 300W device for approximately 1
hour. More powerful batteries allow for extended usage of the connected device.

It is not recommended to fully discharge the battery, as this will shorten the lifespan of
the battery.
To establish the amount of hours you can use a certain device, you can use the
following formula:
8 x Battery capacity / usage in Watt = number of hours
Example: 40Ah Battery, device uses 300 Watts:
8 x 40 / 300 = approximately 1.06 hours
The maximal Wattage you can use on the EM3992/EM3993 depends on the rating of
the fuse used between the battery and cigarette lighter. If this fuse is rated too low,
using the full 300 Watts will cause the fuse to blow. For example: a 30 Amps fuse can
be used with devices up to 300 Watts.

5.0 Warranty conditions
The five-year Eminent warranty applies to all Eminent products unless mentioned
otherwise before or during the moment of purchase. When having bought a second-
hand Eminent product the remaining period of warranty is measured from the moment
of purchase by the product’s first owner. The Eminent warranty applies to all Eminent
products and parts inextricably connected to and/or mounted on the main product.
Power supply adapters, batteries, antennas and all other products not integrated in or
directly connected to the main product and/or products of which, without reasonable
doubt, can be assumed that wear and tear show a different pattern than the main
product are not covered by the Eminent warranty. Products are not covered by the
Eminent warranty when subjected to incorrect/improper use, external influences
and/or when opened by parties other than Eminent.

1.1 Fonctions et caractéristiques
L'EM3992 est un convertisseur 12 Volts CC. L'EM3993 est un convertisseur 24 Volts
CC. En l'associant à une batterie, comme la batterie de votre voiture, de votre bateau
ou de votre camping-car, vous pourrez alimentateur en électricité un appareil
fonctionnant sur 230 volts CA. Vous pouvez utiliser de nombreux appareils avec
l'EM3992/ l'EM3993, comme par exemple un téléviseur, un lecteur multimédia
(EM7180), un ordinateur portable, une glacière, une radio ou autre.
L'EM3992/ l'EM3993 propose également un port USB supplémentaire qui vous permet

2.0 Utilisation du convertisseur
Veuillez vérifier la puissance en watts de l'appareil que vous souhaitez utiliser avec
votre EM3992/EM3993.
N'utilisez pas votre EM3992/EM3993 en combinaison avec des appareils qui doivent
consommer plus de 300 watts. Bien que l'EM3992/l’EM3993 soit capable de supporter
une puissance de crête atteignant 600W au maximum, la puissance électrique
moyenne ne doit pas excéder 300W. Eminent n'est pas responsable des dommages
directs ou indirects causés à un équipement utilisé avec l'EM3992/l’EM3993, ni des
dommages causés à l'EM3992/l’EM3993 lui-même en cas de mauvaise utilisation.
Lorsque vous n'utilisez pas l'EM3992/l’EM3993, mettez-le hors tension avec
l'interrupteur situé au dos.
2.1 Utilisation du convertisseur avec l'entrée pour allume-
cigare (CLA)
Pour utiliser votre EM3992/EM3993 avec l'entrée allume-cigare (cigarette lighter
input : CLA), suivez les instructions ci-dessous.
1. Vérifiez que la puissance en watts de l'appareil que vous voulez utiliser avec
l'EM3992/l’EM3993 ne dépasse pas les 300 watts. (La puissance en watts

devrait être indiquée sur l'appareil que vous voulez utiliser, ou sur son adaptateur
d'alimentation.)
2. Vérifiez que l'EM3992/l’EM3993 est bien éteint. L'interrupteur rouge qui se trouve
au dos doit être en position « arrêt »
3. Prenez le du convertisseur avec l'entrée pour allume-cigare (CLA) Vous
remarquerez qu'il y a deux câbles de couleurs différentes.
4. Connectez le câble rouge sur le connecteur rouge (+) de l'EM3992/l’EM3993.
5. Connectez le câble noir sur le connecteur noir (-) de l'EM3992/l’EM3993.
6. Connectez le convertisseur avec l'entrée allume-cigare sur l'allume-cigare de
votre voiture, bateau, camping-car ou sur une autre source d'alimentation.
7. Connectez l'appareil que vous voulez utiliser sur la sortie d'alimentation 230V de
votre EM3992/EM3993. Si possible, n'allumez pas encore l'appareil.
8. Placez le démarreur de votre voiture ou bateau sur la position ‘On’ avec la clé de
contact.
9. Placez le bouton d'alimentation de l'EM3992/l’EM3993 sur la position ‘On’. Le
voyant DEL vert de l'EM3992/l’EM3993 s'allume.
10. L'appareil connecté devrait être alimenté. Allumez l'appareil.
2.2 Utilisation du convertisseur avec l'alimentation d'une
batterie
L'EM3992 peut aussi se brancher directement sur la batterie de votre voiture, bateau,
camping-car ou autre appareil équipé d'une batterie de 12V.
L'EM3993 peut aussi se brancher directement sur la batterie de votre voiture, bateau,
camping-car ou autre appareil équipé d'une batterie de 24V.
1. Vérifiez que la puissance en watts de l'appareil que vous voulez utiliser avec
l'EM3992/l’EM3993 ne dépasse pas les 300 watts. (La puissance en watts
devrait être indiquée sur l'appareil que vous voulez utiliser, ou sur son adaptateur
d'alimentation.)
2. Vérifiez que l'EM3992/l’EM3993 est bien éteint. L'interrupteur rouge qui se trouve
au dos doit être en position ‘Off’.
3. Prenez le câble d'alimentation muni de deux pinces pour batterie. Vous
remarquerez qu'il y a deux câbles de couleurs différentes.
4. Connectez le câble rouge sur le connecteur rouge (+) de l'EM3992/l’EM3993.
5. Connectez le câble noir sur le connecteur noir (-) de l'EM3992/l’EM3993.
6. Connectez la pince noire du câble d'alimentation sur la borne – de votre batterie.
D'habitude, la borne – de votre batterie est noire.
7. Connectez la pince rouge du câble d'alimentation sur la borne + de votre batterie.
D'habitude, la borne + de votre batterie est rouge.
8. Connectez l'appareil que vous voulez utiliser sur la sortie d'alimentation 230V de
votre EM3992/EM3993. Si possible, n'allumez pas encore l'appareil.
9. Placez le bouton d'alimentation de l'EM3992/l’EM3993 sur la position ‘On’. Le
voyant DEL vert de l'EM3992/l’EM3993 s'allume.
10. L'appareil connecté devrait être alimenté. Allumez l'appareil.

2.3 Utilisation du port USB intégré
L'EM3992/l’EM3993 est muni d'un port USB supplémentaire qui peut servir à
alimentation des appareils USB. Étant donné que le port USB de l'EM3992/l’EM3993
fournit une alimentation de 5 volts CC à 500mA, les téléphones mobiles, lecteurs
MP3, consoles de jeux portatives et autre appareils peuvent être rechargés par le
biais du port USB de l'EM3992/l’EM3993.
2.4 Astuces pour un usage optimal de la batterie
Votre EM3992/EM3993 utilise l'énergie de la batterie à laquelle il est connecté.
Une batterie de voiture à pleine charge (de 40Ah) permet d'alimenter un appareil de
300W pendant 1 heure environ. Des batteries plus puissantes permettent une
utilisation plus intensive de l'appareil connecté.
Il n'est pas recommandé de décharger complètement la batterie, car cela provoque
une réduction de sa durée de vie.
Pour calculer le nombre d'heures pendant lequel vous pouvez utiliser un appareil
donné, vous pouvez utiliser la formule suivante :
8 x capacité de la batterie / puissance en watts = nombre d'heures
Exemple : Batterie de 40Ah, l'appareil consomme 300 watts :
8 x 40 / 300 = environ 1,06 heure
La puissance en watts maximum que vous pouvez utiliser sur l'EM3992/l’EM3993
dépend du calibre du fusible qui se trouve entre la batterie et l'allume-cigare. Si le
calibre du fusible est trop faible, si vous utiliser 300 watts, le fusible risque de griller.
Par exemple : un fusible de 30 ampères peut être utilisé pour les appareils jusqu'à 300
watts.

1.1 Funciones y características
El EM3992 es un inversor de 12 VCC. El EM3993 es un inversor de 24 VCC.
Combinado con una batería, como la del coche, barco o caravana, le permitirá
alimentar un dispositivo de 230 VCA. Puede utilizar una gran cantidad de dispositivos
en el EM3992/EM3993 como televisor, reproductor multimedia (EM7180), ordenador
portátil, nevera, radio y muchos otros.
El EM3992/EM3993 también ofrece un puerto USB adicional que le permite cargar
muchos tipos de dispositivos USB, como teléfono móvil, reproductor MP3, consola de
juegos portátil, etc.
Ya que el EM3992/EM3993 también tiene un ventilador incorporado para evitar el
exceso de temperatura, este dispositivo se puede utilizar en ambientes cálidos. Ideal
cuando esté de vacaciones.
