Installaon and Operaons Manual
Use original accessories and the stated components for the
installaon. Install the unit in a locaon with good support.
Unsuitable installaon locaons can cause the unit to fall and
cause material damage and personal injury. Installaon without
sucient support can also cause vibraons and noise. Ensure
that the unit is stable when installed, so that it can withstand
earthquakes or strong winds.
The electrical installaon must be carried out by a qualied
electrician and the system must be connected as a separate
circuit.
Power supply with insucient capacity and incorrect funcon
can cause electrical shocks and re. Use the wire size sucient
for the MCA (Minimum Circuit Ampacity) per the electrical data
tables for the electrical connecon, ghten the cables securely
in the terminal blocks and support the wiring correctly to
prevent overloading the terminal blocks. Loose connecons or
cable mounngs can cause abnormal heat producon or re.
Carry out the electrical installaon with care. Do not connect
the ground lead to gas lines, water lines, lightning conductors,
or telephone line ground leads. Incorrect grounding can cause
unit faults such as electrical shock due to short-circuing. Use
disconnect switches with sucient breaker capacity. Wiring
must be routed to prevent damage by metal edges or trapped by
panels.
Do not install the indoor or outdoor unit near locaons where
leakage of combusble gases can occur. Do not install the
unit where corrosive gas or combusble gas or liquids can
accumulate or be handled. The Indoor Module is not waterproof
and must be installed indoors.
Do not install and use the system close to equipment that
generates electromagnec elds or high frequency harmonics.
Equipment such as inverters, standby generators, medical high
frequency equipment and telecommunicaons equipment can
aect the unit and cause malfuncons and breakdowns. The
unit can also aect medical equipment and telecommunicaons
equipment, so that it funcons incorrectly or not at all.
Insulate the unit’s connecon pipes so that the ambient air
moisture does not condense on them. Insucient insulaon can
cause condensaon, which can lead to moisture damage on the
roof, oor, furniture, and valuable personal property.
• Properly dispose of all packaging materials.
• Touching any control buons with wet hands can cause
electric shocks.
• Do not shut down the power supply unl at least 5 minutes
of operaon to prevent water leakage or breakdowns.
• Only R-410A refrigerants can be used and charging must be
done in a liquid form.
• Do not touch any buons with wet hands. This can cause
electric shocks.
• Do not touch any refrigerant pipes with your hands when
the system is in operaon.
• During operaon, the pipes become extremely hot or
extremely cold, depending on the method of operaon. This
can cause burn injuries or frost injuries.
• Do not shut o the power supply immediately aer
operaon has started.
• Do not use other refrigerants than R-410A.
• When lling refrigerant, the refrigerant must always leave
the container in liquid form.
• Locaons Where potenal leakage of combusble gas’ can
occur.
• Locaons where carbon ber, metal powder or other
powder like substances could enter the air.
• Locaons where chemical substances could aect the
unit (for example, sulde gas, chlorine, acid, or alkaline
substances can occur).
• Locaons near vented appliances including, driers, HRV’s,
ERV’s, furnaces, boilers, replaces, any fossil fuel appliances
or moisture producing equipment.
• Locaons with direct exposure to oil mist or steam.
• Locaons near vehicle exhaust.
• Locaons where machines that generate high frequency
harmonics are used.
• Locaons where cosmec or special sprays are oen used
• Locaons that can be subjected to direct salty atmospheres.
• Locaons where large amounts of snow may accumulate.
A snow stand should be used to elevate the unit above the
typical snow line. A snow hood may be required to protect
the top of the unit.
• Locaons where the system is exposed to chimney smoke.
• Locaons where animals or pets may be fenced in.
Unit must be transported and stored vercally.
• Ensure that the heat pump cannot fall over during transport.
• Ensure that the heat pump cannot be damaged during
transportaon.
