1Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Der Adapter Bipolare Resektion dient zum Anschluss von bipola-
ren Resektoskopen an ein VIO 300 D mit MF-Buchse. Er ermög-
licht die Nutzung der Modes BIPOLAR CUT ++ und BIPOLAR SOFT
COAG ++.
Der Adapter kann am VIO 300 D, V 1.x.x ab der Softwareversion
V 1.8.x verwendet werden.
Der Adapter kann am VIO 300 D, V 2.x.x ab der Softwareversion
V 2.2.x verwendet werden.

den und nicht anders erwähnt, Kabel weder knicken noch um das
zugehörige Produkt wickeln!
Erbe Elektromedizin warnt ausdrücklich davor, das Produkt zu
verändern. Jede Veränderung führt zum Ausschluss der Haftung
durch Erbe Elektromedizin.
Niederfrequente Ströme entstehen entweder durch niederfre-
quente Stromquellen oder durch Gleichrichtung eines Teils des
HF-Stroms. Es kann zu Zuckungen bzw. Muskelkontraktionen
kommen. Stellen Sie den Effekt bezogen auf den gewünschten
chirurgischen Effekt so niedrig wie möglich ein.
3Anwendungshinweise
1. Schließen Sie den Adapter mit dem Anschlusskabel (1) an die
MF-Buchse des VIO an.
2. Halten Sie die magnetische Innenseite des Adapters an die
rechte Wand des VIO (Buchsenseite). Der Adapter bleibt haf-
ten.

3. Schließen Sie das Resektoskop mit dem Erbe Bipolar Kabel
für Resektoskope an die Buchse RESECTOSCOPE (2) an.
Auf die optimierten Modes BIPOLAR CUT ++ und BIPOLAR SOFT
COAG ++ können Sie nur zugreifen, wenn Sie den Adapter ver-
wenden. Wenn Sie das Resektoskop direkt an die MF-Buchse des
VIO anschließen, sind diese Modes nicht verfügbar.
An die Buchse RESECTOSCOPE können Sie nur Resektoskope an-
schließen. Andere Instrumente passen zwar in diese Buchse,
funktionieren aber nicht. Wenn Sie die MF-Buchse des VIO mit
einem Instrument benutzen möchten, entfernen Sie den Adap-
ter.
Umweltbedingungen für den Betrieb +10 °C bis +40°C.
4Reinigung und Desinfektion
Nicht in der Waschmaschine reinigen!
Erbe empfiehlt eine Wisch- oder Sprühdesinfektion mit einem
geeigneten Desinfektionsmittel. Beachten Sie die Angaben des
Desinfektionsmittelherstellers zu Eignung und Konzentration.
Nicht sterilisieren!
5Wartung
Sicherheitstechnische Kontrollen müssen mindestens einmal im
Jahr durchgeführt werden. Durch die Sicherheitstechnischen
Kontrollen wird überprüft, ob die Sicherheit und Funktionsbe-
reitschaft des Produktes innerhalb eines definierten technischen
Sollzustandes gegeben ist.

1Normal Use
The adapter bipolar resection is used to connect bipolar resecto-
scopes to a VIO 300 D with MF socket. It allows the use of the
BIPOLAR CUT ++ and BIPOLAR SOFT COAG ++ modes.
The adapter can be used with VIO 300 D, V 1.x.x from software
version V 1.8.x.
The adapter can be used with VIO 300 D, V 2.x.x from software
version V 2.2.x.
WARNING!
2Safety instructions
This product may be used only by trained medical staff, who
have been shown how to use it according to the instructions for
use.
Check the product before every occasion of use!
If damaged, do not use this product!
Do not use in the presence of combustible or explosive materi-
als!
Protect this product from any form of mechanical damage! Do
not throw! Do not use force! If there is a cable, and unless stated
otherwise, do not kink it or wrap it around the accompanying
product!

Erbe Elektromedizin expressly warns against modifying the
product. Any modification exempts Erbe Elektromedizin from
any and all liability.
Low-frequency currents arise either due to low-frequency pow-
er sources or partial rectification of the HF current. Spasms or
muscle contractions can occur. Set effect as low as possible rel-
ative to the required surgical effect.
3How to use
1. Connect the adapter with the connection cable (1) to the MF
socket on the VIO.
2. Hold the magnetic inside of the adapter on the right wall of
the VIO (socket side). The adapter sticks.
3. Connect the bipolar resectoscope with the Erbe bipolar cable
for resectoscopes to the RESECTOSCOPE socket (2).
You must use the adapter to access the optimized BIPOLAR CUT
++ and BIPOLAR SOFT COAG ++ modes. These modes are not

available if you directly connect the resectoscope to the MF sock-
et on the VIO.
You can only connect resectoscopes to the RESECTOSCOPE sock-
et. Other instruments fit in the socket, but do not work. If you
want to use the MF socket on the VIO with an instrument, remove
the adapter.
Ambient conditions for operation +10 °C to +40 °C.
4Cleaning and disinfection
Do not clean in the washing machine!
Erbe recommends wiping or spray disinfection with an appropri-
ate disinfectant. Comply with the disinfectant manufacturer's
stipulations as to its suitability and concentration.
Do not sterilize!
5Maintenance
Safety checks must be performed at least once a year. The safety
checks determine whether the safety and operational readiness
of the product conforms to a defined technical required status.

1Intended Use
The adapter bipolar resection is used to connect bipolar resecto-
scopes to a VIO 300 D with MF socket. It allows the use of the

The adapter can be used in ESU Model VIO 300 D, Software Ver-
sion V 1.8.x and Software Versions V 2.2.x or Higher.

Before each use, check that the product is intact. Verify that
there are no signs of physical damage.
If damaged, do not use this product!
