About RC-900 Display and Keyboard
The display is a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) capable of displaying over 16 million colours.
It has a display resolution of 320 x 400 pixels with a pressure sensitive touch screen interface.
The pressure sensitive touch panel requires a
firm press with a small surface area
to ensure a positive touch and
accurate result. It is best to use a stylus
device with a solid tip. This is NOT a
capacitive touch panel.

A stylus is supplied with each RC-900. Most apps
do not require a stylus.
The finger tip can be used but a firmer
press is required as there is a larger
surface area.
It is NOT ideal to use the flat part of the finger as
it can easily overlap another key, thereby causing
a mistake.
NB: This is a single touch keyboard. A key can NOT be held down and another pressed.
DO NOT USE A METAL OBJECT TO TOUCH
THE SCREEN.
It is preferred to use the supplied rounded
tip stylus or simular.

The RC-900 is a remote to the CC-20 control console, Apps on the CC-20 than can
be remotely controlled via the RC-900 are
Basketball (Inc NBL and FIBA)
:- Netball
:- Football
:- Cricket
:- Futsal
The RC-900 also can control various displays directly.
:- Stand Alone Shot Clock
:- SVI (Scoreboard to Video interface)

About RC-900 Display and Keyboard
The RC-900 contains many software applications. Each one of these
apps will have a requirement for the operator to enter/edit a number, or
enter/edit text.
A number to edit will appear in a number box.
Text to enter/edit will appear in a text box.
All of the RC-900 operator instruction manuals will refer to these as
Number Box or Text Box.
Touch the centre of a number box and a pop up keyboard will appear
on the screen.
( Remember to press firmly and slowly on this box and hold untll the number
pad appears. ( If the system appears to be locked up it is because the box was
pressed too fast. Power off and on again)
The Number Box being entered
The rest of the screen will be
dimmed, enter the number
on the keypad and press Ent.
Touch the centre of a Test Box and a pop up
full qwerty keyboard will appear either
at the top or bottom of the screen.
The Text Box being entered
The rest of the screen will be dimmed. The text will appear as it is being entered
in the Text Box.
NB: The pop up keyboards will appear in the same colour at the Number/Text Box
that is being entered.

About RC-900 Display and Keyboard
There are other methods of entering or changing the settings and options within the apps.
These are listed below.
Radio Buttons: Touch any one of these to turn
it on. This will turn the others off.
Check box: Touching the centre of this box will toggle it. set = x or clear = blank.
Switch: Touch one side or the other. The brighter side is the activated side.
Spin box: Touch either side of this to adjust the number it contains.
Bar graph box: Touch either side to adjust the level.

Power On BOOT :-
When the RC-900 is first turned on it will display the boot screen.
This will show the approximation of battery power remaining as a %.
Depending on the internal set up the screen can ask to be paired with the CC-20 it is
to control (Remote control PAIRED Mode) or just wait for the OK button to be pressed to run a
app that controls a display without using a CC-20.
Note, the serial number is a SETUP button eg V21.2a , Pressing this will show the setup
menu ( See Next Page)
NB. When the RC-900 is paired successfully to a CC-20 the screen will change from
“NOT PAIRED” to show the time and date. (The time and date is derived from the CC-20)

SetUp :-
!!! Caution, Settings will drastically change the operation of the RC-900 !!!
When using the RC-900 as a specific function set the App number to be run when the
OK button is pressed. This will bypass the menu and launch the app immediately.
When the RC-900 is being used as a remote control to a CC-20 it must be paired first.

To set the preferred run App when the OK button is pressed enter the app no.
To enable pairing check the box. (See next page for pairing)
As at July 2021 the following App’s can be preset:-
Dose NOT require PARING
Requires PARING to enable CC-20 remote control.
App_50 Enables the MENU to select app from. App_x Stand alone Shotclock
App_x Basketball
App_x Netball
App_x Futsal
App_x Volletball
App_x Football
App_x Cricket
App_x Radio Range Tester.
App_x Battery Duration Tester
App_x Whistle Control
App_x SVI Controll
NB: Most Apps do NOT have an EXIT button. Power OFF to exit.

Pair RC-900 to a CC-20 :-
Because there can be many CC-20's operating in the one environment there are three
settings required for pairing.
Radio ID
CC-20 Address
RC-900 Address
1:- Set the radio ID
Check the CC-20 Radio ID eq 70F0
Select the “Programme 900m Radio” menu item and set the radio ID to the same as the
CC-20. eg 70F0
Press the serial number( (V21.5) on the RC-900 boot screen to enter SETUP
2:- Set the CC-20 Address.
Go to settings on the CC-20 and make the address (1 to 15)
Select the Set CC-20 Address menu item on the RC-900 and enable the check box to match
the CC-20
3: Set the RC-900 address
Go to settings on the CC-20 and address settings and to enable communications to a RC-900.
On the RC-900, select the RC-900 address menu item and make this the same as the just set
address in the CC-20.
