TheemergencypushbuonsareequippedwithLEDsfordisplayingfaultsandmalfunconsofpowersupplyandemergencystatus.

Connect the power supply cable to the dedicated terminal on
the power supply unit.
Connecttheblackcabletothebaery.
Oncetheinstallaonhasbeencompletedandallconnecons(includingthoserelatedtothe
baeriesandmainspowersupply)havebeenformed,theyellowLEDwillstaylitonthecon-
trolunit(redandgreedLEDso),toindicatethatcalibraonofthetestcircuitryonthemotor
outputsisrequired.Checkthatthecontrolunitandthemotorsareworkingcorrectly,andthen
pushtheCALbuonontheboard.Ifnoerrors,faults,oremergenciesaredetected,thecontrol
unitwillgointoSTANDBYmode,whichisindicatedbyonlythegreenLEDswitchingonand
stayingon.

8.2 Initial configuration
In INTERLOCK SLAVEmode,AUX1inputisenabledwithemergencyinterlockfunconandEMCLSIGoutputbehavesasa
copyofEMSIG(theyacvatesimultaneouslybothinEMERGENCYCLOSINGandEMERGENCYOPENINGstates),sothatthe
controlunithastworedundantemergencysignals(seediagram10onpage53).
In INTERLOCK MASTERmode,themotoroutput2isusedasanemergencyinterlockcommandtotheothercontrolunits
thatareinINTERLOCKSLAVEmode.Therefore,theoutput2isacvatedonlyintheemergencystatus(allthefunconsof
naturalvenlaonaredisabledforzone2)andithasalwaysthesamepolarity(theonecorrespondingtotheopening)(see
wiring10onpage53).
When a fault occurs, the control unit can be interrogated using a diagnoscs cable (code
41853M),whichcanbeconnectedtoaPCandmakesitpossibletorecoverinformaononthe
controlunit’sstatusinreal-me.

8.3 Commands for smoke extraction
Thecontrolunitcanenterinemergencymodefollowing:
• SignalfromaSmokesensor
• HoldingtheEmergencyOpenBuon(NCcontact)downforatleast0,5seconds(lteringnecessarytoreducetheriskoffalse
alarms).
• ReceivingofanalarmfromanexternalsourceviatheEXTALterminal.Thecontrolunitcanbeconnected,forexample,toan
externalredeteconsystem.

TheEMERGENCYINTERLOCKstatusisacvatedbysupplying24Vdc+/-25%externalvoltage
totheAUX1input(forexample,comingfromthemotoroutputofanothercontrolunitC-SV)
anditissignalledbyaflashingredLED.ItworksonlyifthecontrolunitisconguredinINTER-
LOCKSLAVEmode(seedip-switchconguraonpar.8.2)andifthecontrolunitisnotalready
inemergencystatus.
ThecontrolunitentersintheEMERGENCYINTERLOCKstatus3secondsaertheenablingof
AUX1inputanditremainsinthisstatusunlaRESETcommandisgiven;inthiscasethecontrol
unitgoesintostandbymode.
WhenthecontrolunitisinEMERGENCYINTERLOCKstatus,itgivesaclosingcommandtothemotorsanditignoresanyemergency
command(seediagram10onpage53).

Theresetcommandcanbeacvatedusingtheemergencypushbuonor(duringinstallaon
/maintenance/tesng)directlyonthecontrolunit’selectronicboard.Thiscontrolworksonly
whenthepushbuonisreleased.
Resengallowsthecontrolunittoexittheemergencysituaon,providedtheeventthatgave
risetothealarmhasceased. During the resetphase(about 1 second)all threeLEDs(red,
yellowandgreen)stayon,makingitpossibletovisuallycheckthattheyareactuallyworking.
Inthefactorysengs,thedoublepressingoftheRESETbuoncommandsthewindowsto
close(seesecon8.2).
TheEMCLinputisused tosend anemergencyclosingcommand.Thisis usedinsome
countriestosuocateflamesandfacilitatetheFireBrigade’sacons,oncethebuildinghas
been evacuated.
It must be terminated with a 10 kOhm resistor.
Whenused,itmustbeconnectedtooneormoremanualcontrolpoints(normallyopen
contacts)inparallelwithoneanother,eachwitha1kOhmresistorinserieswithit.
Ashort-circuitorbreakinthecableisindicatedasafaultonthecontrolunit,anddoesnotinfluencetheotherfuncons.
