Thank you for purchasing the Escali MS-SERIES
Mechanical Dial Scale! Please read the following operation
information to ensure the proper function of your new scale.
INITIAL SETUP
1. On the front of the scale, adjust the tare dial located on the
shatter resistant lens to position zero at the top and center
of the dial.
2. Adjust the red needle with the calibration dial, located
beneath the stainless steel platform, to zero.
HOW TO WEIGH
1. Place item gently onto the stainless steel platform.
2. The weight of the item will be indicated by the red needle.
HOW TO USE THE “TARE” FEATURE
This feature allows the display to be zeroed out after you
weigh an item in a container. It shows the weight of additional
items as if you were to weigh them separately.
1. Place an empty container gently onto the stainless steel
platform.
2. Use the tare dial located on the front of the scale to
rotate the measuring disk and re-align the red needle to
zero weight.
3. Gently add an item to the container; the display will now
only show the weight of the item.

PROPER USE & CARE
Use and stow the scale at room temperature.
Use on a flat, level, and stable surface.
The scale is an instrument of precision. Do not submit
the scale to shaking, excessive vibration or other rough
treatment.
Disassembling, or tampering with the scale voids the
warranty.
Clean the scale with a damp cloth.
Do not submerge in liquid; the scale is not waterproof.
