Thank you for purchasing our Escali commercially applicable CB SERIES electronic scale. Before using this product, please read the manual carefully
in order to fully utilize the features.
z The protection provided by this equipment may be impaired if this equipment is used in a manner not specified in this manual.
z Possible modifications could be made to this product in the future for quality and functional improvement purposes.

2. Installation and Details for Caution Use
* Unless you follow the cautions properly, there may be life damage or material damage.
Correct Installation Procedures
zThis instrument is intended for indoor use only.
zInstall in areas with no influence of heat, such as direct ray of light and heater.
zInstall away from areas with either strong magnetic force or electrical noise.
zInstall on a flat and vibration-free platform.
zInstall in areas with no dusts and moistures.
zInstall in areas with no wind currents and radical thermal alterations.
zThis instrument is not suitable for use at altitude above 2000m.
Details for Caution Use – Make sure to check the power source before use.
zUse a soft cloth with appliance of alcohol when polishing the scale.
zKeep out water or any liquid-type substance from the scale.
zCheck to see if the scale is placed horizontally before use. If the scale is not in a horizontal position, use the horizontal positioning screw in order to adjust its position.
(Have the foam inside of the level gauge be in the center.)
zWhen the scale is turned on, the display will be set to initial scaling condition after indicating RB-XX.
In order to maintain its electrical safeties, warm up the machine for approximately 10 minutes before use.
zMake sure the weight display is set to " 0 g " before use. If the display is not set to " 0 g ", use after setting the display to " 0 g " by pushing the "Zero/Tare" key.
zUse only authorized adapter.
zUse same kinds of batteries when using batteries.
zRemove the battery from the scale if not using the scale for a long time. It may cause damage to the scale from the leak of zinc-air battery.
zWeighing by over maximum capacity may cause damage to the scale.
zThis scale needs periodical inspection every two years.
zNever reorganize, repair or disassemble this scale. Inquire of a manufacturer of a distributor about after service.

4. Instructions classified by Power Source
1. Adapter
-Connect the adapter (DC 12V, 300mA) with the power cord. Connect the jack to the adapter jack in the back side of scale body.
-Use only authorized adapter. Using a different adapter may cause a problem to the scale.
-When connecting adapter while the battery is in the scale, the battery power will be automatically turned off and adapter power will be charged even though the battery is in
the scale.
2. Battery (D-size)
- Open the battery cover. Place 6 units of batteries to polarity at the bottom of the scale. Close the cover properly.
- Exchange the battery when “BAT” is indicated in the display.
- Not available to accurately weigh during “BAT” state.
- Use same kinds of batteries when using batteries. Using different batteries may cause a problem to the scale.
3. Rechargeable battery
- Put the rechargeable battery pack into the bottom of the scale after opening the battery cover.
- Put the 2 pin connector from rechargeable battery pack into the power pack.
- Must connect adapter jack directly from the pack case or connect adapter jack to its power pack to charge.

6. Function
■Procedures to set to Zero
zUsed in order to set the weight display to “0 g” when it is not set to “0 g” even though there is noting on the platform.
■Procedures to Set up and Release the Tare: Used when scaling liquid or grain type substances that require a container.
zCases when the container weight is not known.
1. Place the container on the platform.
2. Push the “Tare” key when the weighing is stable.
3. Check the lighting of Tare.
zCases when the container weight is known.
1. Input the container weight using the number keys.
2. Push the “Tare” key.
3. Place the container on the platform.
4. Check the lighting of Tare.
zRelease the Tare
1. Remove the container from the platform.
2. Push the “Tare” key.
3. Look at the light of Tare to check if the light is turned off.
* By setting the tare, weight display will show the scaled product weight excluding the container weight.
* Use after resetting the tare when the container weight has been changed.

zIf the “Shortage Unit Wt.” LCD Is turned on, it means that the unit weight of the scaled product is within the “Unit Weight Short” range
zInaccuracy may result when measured in a condition with both “Short Q’ty” and “Short Unit Wt.” LCD turned on. Therefore, scale in a condition when both LCDs are
completely turned off.

■Procedures to save a Preset Key (PLU key) with a Unit weight value
-Use by saving the unit weight of the frequently scaled product into the preset key. (Save up to 20 PLUs.)
-Make sure the display is set to “0g” before inputting unit price.

■Procedures to add up the Unit weight
-Although there are many products to be measured, the quantity of the scaled each objects can be added up disregarding their unit weight.
-The number of add-ups can be possible up to 99 times and the total add-up value can be possible up to 99,999.999.

-Complete the procedures to set up the time using the “M” key. Not pushing the “M” key does not save this function.
zThe scale is automatically turned off when not being used for selected time without inputting a key or changing the weight.
zUsed in order to prevent unnecessary consumption of the battery.
zSelect time to automatically turn off the power as OFF – 5min.- 10min. – 30min. – 60min. – 120min.
zRelease the time setup by setting up with ‘OFF’.
zWithout inputting a key for 5 seconds will automatically set back to the scale mode in the picture No. 2.
zThe scale is dispatched with ‘5 minutes automatic turning off the power’ mode. (The scale is automatically turned off when not being used for 5 minutes.)

The scale's breakdown under normal operating condition is guaranteed for a repair with no charge for 1 year from the date of its purchase.
