For descriptions of features and functions
available when connected to ESCORT Live and
download the PASSPORT Max2 Owner’s Manual.
To view serial number and sof tware rev ision
press MRK and MUTE while poweri ng on
detector.
To restore PASSPOR T Max2 to its orig inal
factory Settings, press and hold SEN and BRT
while turning the power on. A “Restored”
message will display, acknowledging the reset.
Software Updates
PAS SP ORT M a x2’s red light and speed camera
DEFEN DER database is easily updated usi ng our
exclusive detector soft ware tools found on our
web site. Firmware, or the oper ating soft ware
for the detector, can also be updated usi ng
these tools.
In order to have access to these updates, please
register your PASSPORT Max2. Once registered,
youwill receive email notifications that updates
are now available for your database or firmware.
Tohandle your software and DEFENDER
updates you need to connect your Max2 to a
computer first.Y ou canconnect Max2 to a
computer via USB A / Mini B cable (not
included).

Before down loading ESCORT Live, you must first
register your PA SSPO RT Max2 device. Be sure to
have your Max2 u nit nearby, as you will need
the serial nu mber. To view serial number and
software revision press MRK and MUTE button
while powering on detector.
1Visit EscortRadar and click Product
Registration.
2Click the link for Escort Live Ready devices.
3Follow the onscreen instr uctions to register
your device.
Be sure to write down the userna me and
password you create, as you will need this
information to access and download ESCORT
Live. ( Yo u will also receive an e-mail with this
information, once you have registered your
device.)
To pair your Smartphone with PASSP OR T Max2:
1Ensure PASSPOR T Max2 power is ON.
2On your Smar tphone go to Bluetooth Set tings.
3Ensure Bluetooth is ON.
4Press Scan for devices and/or wait for the
device list to populate, PAS SP ORT Max2
should appear u nder devices.
5Tap PA SSPOR T Max2 to pair the device to
your phone.
6Bluetooth icon on the PA SS PORT Max2 display
screen will appear blue when paired to the
phone.
7Open the app, walk through the tutorial, and
you’re ready to hit the road!

Mounting Tips:
•Center of windsh ield between driver and
passenger.
•Ensure clear view of road ahead and sky
above.
•Avoid windshield wiper s and heavily tinted
areas.
To mount PASSPORT Max2 in your vehicle:
1Remove backing from StickyCup mou nt.
2Firmly press Stick yCup onto windsh ield and
flip locking clamp to secure.
3To adjust v ie w, loosen thumb wheel and
adjust angle of mounting bracket. Tighten
thumb wheel to secure.
4To remove detector, press mount release
button on PAS SP OR T Max2 and slide dev ice
off mount.
6To remove mount from windshield, release
locking clamp and pull tab on top of
StickyCup.
StickyCup Care Instructions:
To clean your StickyCup, simply rinse under
warm wa ter, gently wipe off a ny debris and
allow to air d r y.
Using PASSPORT Max2
1Plug small end of Smar tCord into modular
jack on PAS SP ORT Max2 and large end of
SmartCord into your car’s lighter/accessor y
socket.
2PAS SP ORT Max2 should power on
automatically. If not, press the dev ic e’s power
button.
NOTE: Yo u can easily access and cu stomize all
of your Settings and Preferences by pressing
and holding the MRK and SEN buttons. See
Settings & Preferences for details.
Using SmartCord
•Mute Button: Press to mute an alert; press
three times to lock out a false alert; press
twice while receiving a locked-out alert to
unlock. ( When connected to ESCORT Live !)
Press and hold mute button on unit or cord
to manua lly report to other users a verified
X or K-ba nd aler t, or a police officer
observi ng traffic.
•Alert L ight: Blinks orange when receiving an
alert.
•Power Light: Lights blue when receiving
pow er.
1Enter the i Tu ne s App Store or Google play
store on your smartphone and search for
ESCORT Live radar!
2Follow the onscreen instr uctions to
download.
3When prompted, enter the username and
password you created when registering your
PAS SP ORT Max2 device.
•PAS SP ORT M ax2’s HD Performance
accurately identifies real threats sooner than
any other detector, providi ng more advanced
warni ng when you need it.
•PAS SP ORT M a x2’s GPS location-based
intelligence automatically locks out false
alerts and allows you to mark locations for
future reference.

which warns you of verified speed tr aps,
speed cameras, and red light cameras.
