We invite you to read carefully these instructions before installing the cPIAEC 6 and 8.
Failure to comply with all or part of these instructions may result in malfunctions, short circuits,
leaks, or irreversible damage to the entire system.
Any intervention must be carried out by a qualified trained person with the necessary knowledge
to deal with this material. No damages caused to the cPIAEC 6 and cPIAEC 8 will be taken into
account under the manufacturer's warranty in the event of non-observance of the instructions in
this manual.

The cPIAEC 6 and 8 control unit is delivered by transporter under filmed pallet. It must be handled
with great care from unpacking and handling till installation operations. Any shock, even
insignificant, can not only damage the bodywork but also cause malfunctions temporarily and/or
permanently to the operation of the motorcycle fan units, to the hydraulic batteries and/or the
electric ones, and to the hydraulic set.
The inspection of the received equipment condition is the sole responsibility of the recipient. Any
damage found must be subject to very specific reservations on the delivery note (BL) in the
presence of the transporter. The BL will only have to be signed after this careful inspection and
postponement of said reservations.
These reserves must be confirmed to the transporter company by registered letter within 48
hours after the delivery and sent in copy to the sales department of EUREVIA.
Attention: Mentions such as «subject to unpacking" have no legal value.
If the cPIAEC 6 and 8 control panel is not installed immediately after reception, it is strongly
recommended to keep it protected in its packaging and to store it in a clean and dry place.

1. General precautions
1.1 Environment usage
CPIAEC must be installed on a clean and ventilated environment.
It is designed to operate in a non-corrosive, non-marine, non-acidic, non-alkaline, dust-free and without any
inflammable gases in close proximity.
1.2 Operating limits
The air blowing temperature must not exceed 60°C otherwise there’ll be a degradation of the plastic
components of the plant, nor be less than 12°C for an atmosphere of 27°C (dry bulb) and 65% of
hygrometry (relative humidity) in order to prevent excessive condensation of the device.
1.3 Water quality
The useful life of the hydraulic components integrating the cPIAEC plant depends particularly on the
composition of the water of the network, on its treatment and on the frequency of maintenance provided to
the hydraulic system.
Prior to the entry of water on the cPIAEC plant, it is highly recommended to have the network water analyzed
and, depending on the results, to install the necessary devices for its treatment in accordance with the VDI
2035 standard (filters, sludge collectors), additives, etc.).
Regular and proper maintenance is required throughout the heating and/or cooling whole system in order to
avoid any problem of clogging and corrosion.
The EUREVIA guarantee does not cover damages caused by limestone and corrosion.
1.4 Power supply
Any electrical device must be installed by an authorized person in accordance with the standards and
regulations in force.
Make sure that the power supply corresponds to the nominal power supply of the control panel. If
necessary, refer to the identification plate on the side of the device or contact EUREVIA Technical Service.
The cPIAEC plant requires systematically a power cut-off device and a suitable safety fuse (not delivered by
EUREVIA).
The EUREVIA guarantee does not cover any damage due to the non-compliance with the above mentioned
electrical instructions, nor to any electrical modifications undertaken voluntarily without a prior written
agreement.
2. Installation advices
CAUTION : Make sure that the power supply is turned off before any intervention on the cPIAEC plant.
The installation, the commissioning and the maintenance of all EUREVIA heating and/or cooling systems
must be carried out by qualified persons having been specifically trained on these products.

The system includes electrical parts and hydraulic components. It can be dangerous for anyone who has
not received adequate and complet training.
It is recommended to set up the plant by using an aerial work platform.
CAUTION : The cPIAEC unit must never be lifted by the hydraulic part, otherwise the copper tubes and other
hydraulic components may be deformed and water leaks may occur.
In order to anticipate any eventual problem of accessibility or lack of clarity, it is strongly recommended
before any attachment to install the accessories on the cPIAEC* control panel:
- Outlets and shutters on the supply and/or return air plenum (see §3 –Air duct connections)
- Hydraulic outfits (see §4- Hydraulic connections)
- Controller inside the device
The cPIAEC plant should preferably be fixed with threaded rods and anti-vibration dampers (available on
option). It can be placed:
- In false ceiling with possibility of bulk return air or sheathed
- In the attic, the return air must be sheathed so as to not clog the filter at the first use
For bulk return air in false ceilings, it’s necessary to keep a distance of 30cm between the back of the
central unit and the wall in order to allow an easy return of air.
- Despite the natural slope of the main condensate recovery tray inside the plant, it is strongly
recommended to apply a slope between 0° and 3° horizontality to the ceiling so that the condensate can be
easily evacuated through the spout (see diagram 1) and a rear slope between 0° and 1,5° (see diagram 2).
- For the condensate drain pipe, a constant slope of 2° must also be applied without any curvature
or horizontal siphonage. Also it’s necessary to provide a siphon of at least 50 mm in order to prevent odors
from spreading into the room

Prior to the entry of water on the cPIAEC plant, it is necessary to test the flow of the condensates through the tank
of recovery.
Damper installation
- Install the washer in the damper
- Insert the damper into the hole of the bracket, as shown on the photo
- Block the damper with the rubber washer
3. Air duct connections : outlets installation*
The cPIAEC plant is equipped with Ø200mm pre-cutters designed specifically for the clipping of the AIRCLIP plastic
air ducts.
Held by attachment points, the precut can be easily removed with a screwdriver. However, care should be taken to
cut the interior foam beforehand to avoid damaging the insulation.
3.1 Return air plenum
In the case of a sheathed return air, use the specified return air plenum by attaching it to the back of the cPIAEC
unit with 4 self-drilling screws. Be sure to firstly remove the pre-cuts from the panel.
The return air plenum includes pre-cuts of Ø200mm: 3 pre-cuts on the cPIAEC 6 and 4 pre-cuts on the cPIAEC 8.
The assembly of the outlet connections on the plenum shall be carried out according to the same instructions
above mentioned.
3.2 Flexible double skin isophonic duct
When setting up the flexible ducts, it is imperative to balance the ductwork for each
outlet (duct length and number of elbows) otherwise the flow will never be guaranteed.
The inner and outer ducts of the double-skinned ducts must each be fastened with
hose clamps.

Note : the microperforated inner sheath does not guarantee watertightness. It’s necessary to take into account the
volume of each room in order to ensure sufficient flow.
3.3 Air filter
- Galvanized steel frame
- Pleated polyester fiber filter
- Resistance to temperatures up to 80°C
- Efficiency class EN 779: G4 or F5
4. Hydraulic connections
All hydraulic connections must be made based on the best practices : drain valves, isolation valves, purge point
installed in the upper part of the network, filtration, sludge pots, lagging pipes in order to avoid any risk of
condensation in operation with cold water, etc.
Before filling, the installer must ensure that the water quality complies with the VDI directive 2035. Before starting up
the system, it is necessary to correctly place the filters, to perform a complete flushing of the hydraulic network and
to treat the water in order to avoid clogging the circuit.
CAUTION: Do not apply a torque greater than 30NM on the hydraulic connections of the cPIA control panel. Be sure to
use a torque wrench when tightening the hydraulic parts. In case of leakage or replacement of the hydraulic
components, it is necessary to replace the seal.
4.1 Hydraulic battery
The hydraulic battery is equipped with a ½" connector on the cPIAEC 6 and a
¾" on the cPIAEC 8, all with female thread. The water inlet of the battery is
made from the bottom and the exit is made from the top.
The hydraulic battery has a trap located at the top just above the water outlet.
It’s visible and accessible without any need to dismantle the plant.

4.2 Hydraulic outfits
There are various models of pre-assembled hydraulic kits connected to the cPIAEC plants.
The outfits are ½'' female for the cPIAEC 6 and ¾'' female for the cPIAEC 8 with an exception for the sets
equipped with Staubli®connectors which are ¾'' female.
Exemples of outfits
4.3 Condensates recovery –Internal tray
- The inclined tray has a 13,5 mm outside diameter drain.
- Connecting hose: 12/14 evacuation PVC tube. There must be a constant inclination of at least 2%

4.4.5 Automatic balancing valves
- CuZn39 Pb2 hot-forged brass pressure points and plugs, stainless steel spring
- Upstream and downstream pressure measurement sockets for Δp control
- Adjustment accuracy +/- 10% constant over the entire flow range

4.5 Electric connection
The power supply of the cPIAEC is made by a single point through the quick connector
located above the panoply at the top.

4.5.1 Electrical protection
Grounding the cPIAEC is imperative.
For the cPIAEC without electrical resistance it is necessary to install a 2A circuit breaker. The minimum cable cross
section is 1.5 mm².
In the event that there’s an electrical resistance, a 16A circuit breaker must be installed. The minimum section of
the cable is 2.5 mm². The line feeding the cPIAEC must have a differential device of 30mA.

5. Starting
5.1 Functional test
- Make sure that the unit is correctly installed and placed (§2) and that the drainage pipe is not clogged

- Make sure the water connections (to the battery and to the water drainage) are properly connected
- Make sure that the electrical wiring is well done and it’s perfectly waterproof
- Make sure that the battery has been correctly drained
- Close all the covers (if necessary)
- Connect the power supply and check the unit functioning

For programming the commands and for using the system, please refer to the regulator manual instructions

For safety reasons, before carrying out maintenance operations, it is imperative to cut off the general power
supply.
7.1 Fans replacing
Turn off the unit general power supply.
7.1.1 Removal of the power supply cable:
- Remove the quick connector (male) connecting the unit to the general power
supply, located at the back of the device (see photo)
- Remove the main panel cover of the unit by unscrewing the 2 ¼ turn screws
- Using a screwdriver, on the remaining (female) part of the power connector,
inside of the fancoil unit, carefully lift the two visible tabs above the connector
(lift the insulating foam slightly if necessary)
- Remove the female connector by pushing it towards the inside of the fancoil and
then remove the fan power supply cables
7.1.2 Removal of the master cable:
- Remove the fast connector (s) (4 wires) from the motor connecting the regulator
- Remove the 4 wires (orange, yellow, white, gray) using a screwdriver or a Wago lever by pressing on
the metal part above the connector
7.1.3 Removal of the fixing frame:
- Remove the 2 hexagon bolts located on the fan support metal frame
- Remove the 4 hexagon screws located on both sides of the frame
NB: it is essential to keep the support frame to install the new motor on the fancoil

For installing the spare motor, proceed the opposite way, paying attention:
- At the polarity of the power supply cable
- To the wiring order of the 4 master wires on the controller (from left to right, controller face to user:
orange-yellow-white-gray) - cf. wiring diagram for more precision
- Maintaining the power connector - female part - by pressing the two visible tabs above the connector
7.2 Filter remplacement
Filter can be replaced in two ways :
- Either from the back of the fancoil,
►Push the filter on the top in order to tilt it and then remove it.
►To install the new filter, refer to the direction of the airflow using the arrow
located on the edge of the frame..
- Either through the access hatch provided for this purpose.
NB: It is strongly recommended to change the filter regularly. Dirty filter can significantly reduce the fancoil
performances.
7.3 Replacement of the shutter thermal actuator
- Switch off the power supply of the fancoil
- Unclip the shutter cover using a screwdriver
- Remove carefully the thermal actuator to be changed
- Insert the new thermal actuator, checking that the piston is correctly integrated with the rack
mechanism
- Replace the shutter cover by snapping it in
7.4 Replacement of the electric resistances
The resistances (in option) are stainless steel tubes inserted into the hydraulic battery.
- Remove the black circular covers located on the side of the fancoil
- Disconnect the resistances power supply from the regulator
- Disconnect the connections to the safety thermostat
- Remove the resistances
- Proceed in reverse order to put new resistances
