BEDIENUNGSANLEITUNG

Lesen Sie vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme zur eigenen Sicherheit diese Bedienungsanleitung
sorgfältig durch!
Alle Personen, die mit der Aufstellung, Inbetriebnahme, Bedienung, Wartung und Instandhaltung dieses
Gerätes zu tun haben, müssen
- entsprechend qualifiziert sein
- diese Betriebsanleitung genau beachten.
EINFÜHRUNG
Wir freuen uns, daß Sie sich für einen DX-4 entschieden haben. Sie haben hiermit ein leistungsstarkes und
vielseitiges Gerät erworben.
Nehmen Sie den DX-4 aus der Verpackung.
Prüfen Sie zuerst, ob Transportschäden vorliegen. In diesem Fall nehmen Sie das Gerät nicht in Betrieb und
setzen sich bitte mit Ihrem Fachhändler in Verbindung.
SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
Dieses Gerät hat das Werk in sicherheitstechnisch einwandfreiem Zustand verlassen. Um diesen Zustand zu
erhalten und einen gefahrlosen Betrieb sicherzustellen, muß der Anwender die Sicherheitshinweise und die
Warnvermerke unbedingt beachten, die in dieser Gebrauchsanweisung enthalten sind.
Unbedingt lesen:
Bei Schäden, die durch Nichtbeachtung der Anleitung verursacht werden, erlischt der
Garantieanspruch. Für daraus resultierende Folgeschäden übernimmt der Hersteller keine Haftung.
Das Gerät darf nicht in Betrieb genommen werden, nachdem es von einem kalten in einen warmen Raum
gebracht wurde. Das dabei entstehende Kondenswasser kann unter Umständen Ihr Gerät zerstören. Lassen
Sie das Gerät solange uneingeschaltet, bis es Zimmertemperatur erreicht hat!
Beachten Sie bitte, daß Schäden, die durch manuelle Veränderungen an diesem Gerät verursacht werden,
nicht unter den Garantieanspruch fallen.
BESTIMMUNGSGEMÄSSE VERWENDUNG
Das Gerät kann an jedem beliebigen Ort installiert werden. Achten Sie jedoch darauf, daß das Gerät nicht zu
großer Hitze, Feuchtigkeit und Staub ausgesetzt wird. Vergewissern Sie sich, daß keine Kabel frei
herumliegen. Sie gefährden Ihre eigene und die Sicherheit Dritter!

Nehmen Sie das Gerät erst in Betrieb, nachdem Sie sich mit seinen Funkionen vertraut gemacht haben.
Lassen Sie das Gerät nicht von Personen bedienen, die sich nicht mit dem Gerät auskennen. Wenn Geräte
nicht mehr korrekt funktionieren, ist das meist das Ergebnis von unfachmännischer Bedienung!
Beachten Sie bitte, daß eigenmächtige Veränderungen an dem Gerät aus Sicherheitsgründen verboten sind.
FUNKTIONEN
1. Kanalfader um jeden Kanal individuell zu steuern.
2. Flashtaste um den jeweiligen Kanal zu "flashen".
3. Mode Select:
Hold Dim: Man erhält die manuelle Kontrolle über die vier Kanäle mit den Kanalfadern (1) und dem
Masterfader (5).
Hold Sound: Die vier Kanäle arbeiten nun als Vierkanallichtorgel.
Baß = Kanal 1, Mitten = Kanal 2, Höhen = Kanal 3, invertierter Baß = Kanal 4.
Program Sound: Die 10 eingespeicherten Programm laufen musikgesteuert (Baßschlag) nacheinander durch.
Program Speed: Der Chaser läuft mit der Geschwindigkeit die am Fader (7) und dem Schalter (10) eingestellt
wurde.
4. Program select:
Durch Drücken des Tasters (4) können die Programme 1-9 angewählt werden. Wird Programm 0 angewählt,
läuft der DX 4 die Programme 1-9 nacheinander durch.
5. Dimmer Master:
Mit dem Masterfader (5) kann der maximale Ausgangslevel der vier Kanäle eingestellt werden.
6. Background:
Mit dem Backgroundfader (6) kann die Hintergrundhelligkeit eingestellt werden.
7. Program speed:
Mit diesem Fader (7) wird die Programmablaufgeschwindigkeit eingestellt.
8. Full On:
Mit diesem Taster (8) werden alle Kanäle gleichzeitig angeschaltet (geflasht) solange der Taster gedrückt
bleibt.
9. Standby:
Stoppt alle Ausgänge.

10. Speed x 10:
Wird zusammen mit dem Fader 7 verwendet. Die Programmablaufgeschwindigkeit wir um das 10-fache
erhöht.
11. Sensitivity:
Hier wird der Minimalpegel der Ausgänge eingestellt.
12. Audio Input:
Musikeingänge. 200mV-1500mV
13. Signal Output:
0-10V-Ausgangssignal um damit weiter Dimmer- oder Switchpacks anzusteuern.
14. Maximale Ausgangsleistung: 1500W ohmsche Last
700W induktive Last
Maximale Gesamtleistung aller 4 Kanäle: 4600W
15. Wenn in der Hold Dim-Funktion eine größere Gesamtlast als 3000W angeschlossen wurde, muß auf eine
geeignete Steckverbindung geachtet werden.

INTRODUCTION
Thank you for having chosen a EUROLITE DX-4 dimmer-controller. You will see you have acquired a
powerful and versatile device.
Unpack your DX-4.
Before you initial start-up, please make sure that there is no damage caused by transportation. Should there
be any, consult your dealer and do not use the device.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This device has left our premises in absolutely perfect condition. In order to maintain this condition and to
ensure a safe operation, it is absolutely necessary for the user to follow the safety instructions and warning
notes written in this user manual.
Important:
Damages caused by the disregard of this user manual are not subject to warranty. The dealer
will not accept liability for any resulting defects or problems.
Never put any liquids on the device or close to it. Should any liquid enter the device nevertheless, disconnect
from mains immediately. Please let the device be checked by a qualified service technician before you
operate it again. Any damages caused by liquids having entered the device are not subject to warranty!
Never let the AC-cord come into contact with other cables! Handle the AC-cord and all AC-connections with
particular caution! Never touch these parts with wet hands!
Keep away from heaters and radiators!
If the device has been exposed to drastic temperature fluctuation (e.g. after transportation), do not switch it
on immediately. The arising condensation water might damage your device. Leave the device switched off
until it has reached room temperature.
Make sure that the available voltage is not higher than stated on the device.

Please consider that damages caused by manual modifications to the device are not subject to warranty.
Keep away children and amateurs!
There are no servicable parts inside the device. Maintenance and service operations are only to be carried
out by authorized dealers.
OPERATING DETERMINATIONS
You can install the device at any desired place. Please make sure that the device is not exposed to extreme
heat, moisture or dust. There should not be any cables lying around. You endanger your own and the safety
of others!
Do not operate the device in extremely hot (more than 30°C) or extremely cold (less than 5°C) surroundings.
Keep away from direct insolation (particularly in cars) and heaters.
Operate the device only after having familiarized with its functions. Do not permit operation by persons not
qualified for operating the device. Most damages are the result of unprofessional operation!
Never use solvents or aggressive detergents in order to clean the device! Rather use a soft and damp cloth.
If you want to move the device please use the original packaging in order to avoid transport damages.
Please consider that unauthorized modifications on the device are forbidden due to safety reasons!
FUNCTIONS:
1. Channel slider to control each channel.
2. Flash button, to flash output at maximum level.
3. Mode Select:
Hold Dim: Manual control of the four channels with sliders (1) and Dim Master (5).
Hold Sound: Music to light mode, Bass = channel 1, Mid = channel 2, High = channel 3, Anti Bass = channel
4.
Program Sound: 10 preset programs chase to the beat of the music.
Program Speed: 10 programs chase to the speed set with slider (7) and button (10).
4. Program select:
Select programs 1 thru 9, program "0" automactically cycles thru all nine programs.

5. Dimmer Master:
Slider controls maximum output levels of all four channels.
6. Background:
Slider controls background level of all four channels.
7. Program speed:
Slider controls chase speed in "Program Speed" mode.
8. Full On:
Turns on all four channels at maximum output.
9. Standby:
Stops all outputs.
10. Speed x 10:
Used with program speed slider (7) to offer two levels of speed.
11. Sensitivity:
Sets the minimum level of slider output.
12. Audio Input:
Level for audio control input 200mV-1500mV
13. Signal Output:
0-10V output for controlling external power packs.
14. Maximum output power: 1500W resistive load

4-channel maximun power: 4600W
15. In the Hold Dim mode if you use a total of more than 3000W you must make sure your plugs is large
enough.

INTRODUCTION
Nous vous remercions d'avoir choisi un contrôleur dimmeur EUROLITE DX-4. Vous êtes en possession d'un
appareil très performant.
Sortez le DX-4 de son emballage.
Avant tout, assurez vous que l'appareil n'a pas subi de dommages lors de son transport. Si tel était le cas,
contactez immédiatement votre revendeur.
INSTRUCTIONS DE SÉCURITÉ
Cet appareil a quitté les ateliers dans un état irréprochable. Pour assurer un bon fonctionnement, sans
danger, l'utilisateur doit suivre les instructions contenues dans ce mode d'emploi.
Attention:
Tout dommage occasionné par la non observation des instructions de montage ou d'utilisation n'est
pas couvert par la garantie.
Ne déposez jamais de récipient contenant un liquide sur le dessus de l'appareil ou à proximité immédiate de
celui-ci. Si toutefois, du liquide devait s'infiltrer dans l'appareil, le débrancher immédiatement, puis le faire
vérifier par un technicien compétent avant de le réutiliser. Les dommages causés par l'infiltration de liquides
ne sont pas couverts par la garantie.
Ne laissez pas le câbles d'alimentation en contact avec d'autres câbles. Soyez prudent; lorsque vous
manipulez les câbles et les connexions, vous êtes soumis à des risques d'électrocutions! Ne manipulez
jamais les parties sous tension avec des mains mouillées!
Tenez l'appareil éloigné de toute source de chaleur.
L'appareil ne devrait pas être mis en service lorsqu'il à été transporté d'un endroit froid à un endroit chaud. Il
se forme de la condensation qui pourrait endommager l'appareil. Laissez celui-ci atteindre la température
ambiante avant de le mettre en service.

Assurez vous que la tension électrique ne soit pas supérieure à celle indiquée sur la fiche technique de
l'appareil. Branchez la prise d'alimentation dans une fiche adaptée.
Toute modification effectuée sur cet appareil annule la garantie.
Tenir les enfants et les novices éloignées de l'appareil.
L'intérieur de l'appareil ne contient pas de parties nécéssitant un entretien. L'entretien et les réparations
doivent être effectuées par un technicien compétent!
EMPLOI SELON LES PRESCRIPTIONS
Ne pas utiliser l'appareil lorsque la température ambiante est supérieure à 35°C ou inférieure à 5°C. Ne pas
exposer l'appareil directement aux rayons solaires (lors d'un transport dans un véhicule fermé par exemple).
L'appareil peut être installé à l'endroit de votre choix. Evitez toutefois les endroits humides, poussiéreux ou
trop chauds. Assurez vous que les câbles ne trainent pas au sol. Il en va de votre propre sécurité et de celle
d'autrui.
N'utilisez l'appareil qu'après avoir pris conaissance de ses fonctions et possibilités. Ne laissez pas des
personnes incompétentes utiliser cet appareil. La plupart des pannes survenant sur cet appareil sont dues à
une utilisation inappropriée par des personnes incompétentes.
Ne nettoyez pas l'appareil avec des produits de nettoyages trop puissants ou abrasifs. Utilisez un chiffon
doux, humide.
Si vous deviez transporter l'appareil, utilisez l'emballage d'origine pour éviter tout dommage.
Notez que pour des raisons de sécurité, il est interdit d'entreprendre toute modifications sur l'appareil.
