
STE EIGHT – SANITIZE, TEST & URGE
Sanitize
Note: S nitiz tion is recommended immedi tely fter RO Filter System inst ll tion nd ny
inner-p rt servicing. The person s nitizing should h ve cle n h nds during this process.
1 Shut off water supply to RO system.
2 Open faucet. f tank is not empty, allow to drain until empty.
3 With included eyedropper and household bleach (5.25%),
disconnect white tubing from tank valve. Note: Ble ch needs
to be h ndled ccording to m nuf cturer’s instructions.
4 Add 3ml bleach into open end of tank white tubing.
5 Reconnect tank and white tubing to tank valve.
6 Sanitization will be completed during the following pressure
test and purge.
Import nt: Ble ch must be completely removed from system
before drinking w ter. See Purge instructions below.
ressure Test
Import nt: Complete s nitiz tion prior to pressure test.
1 Open cold water supply valve to RO Filter System.
2 To purge air from the plumbing system, open kitchen faucet. Close faucet when water runs smooth.
3 Conrm RO faucet is closed.
4 Within approximately 2 hours, pressure will start to build in the RO Filter System. Carefully inspect all
connections and ttings while this pressure buildup occurs.

Check for leaks. f leaks are found, x by ensuring all tubing is cut squarely and fully inserted. Also conrm
there are no scratches, dents or notches at tubing end. f there are, squarely cut 1” off and re-insert.

1 Open RO faucet and let water ow through system for 24 hours.
Note: Flow r te will be slow during this time.
2 Close RO faucet after purge is complete.
Note: Your RO Filter System is re dy for use when purge is complete, however, you will not h ve filtered
w ter immedi tely. It t kes 1 – 3 hours to completely fill the t nk. The flow r te will be less th n your
kitchen f ucet. W ter will run to the dr in while the RO Filter System is filtering w ter – even when not in
use. This is norm l. W ter going to dr in will stop utom tic lly when t nk is t c p city.
