Introduction
The iTAG100 is an intrinsically safe version of the AeroScout T2 Tag and is the most
advanced Wi-Fi based Active RFID tag on the market, from the company that
originated the Wi-Fi tag industry. The iTAG100 is a small, long-life Wi-Fi based active
RFID device that can be placed on any asset, allowing the AeroScout system to
locate assets that are not Wi-Fi enabled.

(Taken from Epsilon 06 ATEX 2075X and IECEx ITS 14.0012X)
1. For Group I & II Equipment:
•Do not open. No user serviceable parts within the equipment.
2. For Group IIC Equipment with EPL Ga:
•The enclosure has been coated with a layer of conductive coating.
Inspect before use to validate the integrity of the coating; the equipment
is not to be used if scratching or chipping of the coating occurs. Refer to
instruction manual for information on the durability of the coating with
regard to the equipment, and any environmental impact.
3. For model variants iTAG100-1/iTAG100-1-CB (Group IIC, EPL Gb equipment
with no conductive coating):
•When used in a Group IIC environment, the user must take the
necessary precautions to avoid the accumulation of electrostatic charge
of the enclosure, to minimise static charge risk.
4. For all models:
•Only batteries listed can be used: XL-050F, XLP-050F, iTAG100-B1-II
2.2 Essential health and safety requirements
This equipment is designed to satisfy clause 1.2.7 of the Essential Health and Safety

Intended Purpose Usage
Important Before setting the units to work, read the technical documentation
carefully.
Important The latest version of the technical documentation or the corresponding
technical supplements is valid in each case.
The iTAG100 is built using modern components and is extremely reliable in
operation; however, it must only be used for its intended purpose. Please note that
the intended purpose also includes compliance with the instructions issued by the
manufacturer for installation, setting up and service.
