How to Charge the Phone
Only the phone needs to be charged, the glasses do not need to be charged
1. Plug the charging cable (E)
into the charging block (D)
2. Plug the charging cable (E)
into the phone (B)
DO NOT USE THE DATA CABLE FOR CHARGING
3. Plug the charger into an outlet
4. Charge until the phone
battery reaches 100%
*The phone will always stay ON while charging, it cannot be turned off

Sleep Mode
To activate sleep mode: press the power button once (top
right) - the phone screen AND glasses will go dark
To exit sleep mode: press the power button again (top right)
- the phone screen AND glasses will turn back on
Sleep mode puts the phone display and the glasses to sleep, but does not
completely turn off the device –this will save battery

To activate power save mode: press the top left button once
–the screen will go dark and a flashing arrow will appear
To exit power save mode: press the top left button again –
the screen will turn back on

Power Save Mode
Power save mode turns the phone screen off, but the glasses remain on
This mode is ideal for situations where the phone screen is distracting (ie. movie theaters)

Setting up the Phone & Glasses
1. Before using EYE5 glasses for the first time:
a) Fully charge the phone battery, until light at the top of the
phone turns green or percentage on the phone is 100%
2. After the battery is charged:
a) Make sure the phone is not connected to any cables
b) Power on the phone by holding down the power button
c) This phone takes several seconds to start up and shows
various screens before it is ready to use

Setting up the Phone & Glasses
1. Connect the phone to the glasses:
a) To do this, plug the L shaped side of the data
connection cable (C) into the glasses (A) and the other side
into the phone (B)
2. Wait for the EYE5 app to launch automatically or press the
Eyedaptic logo to start the app
a) If the app does not open, unplug the cable from the phone, wait 5 seconds,
plug the cable back in, and try again
3. The first time the app is opened, a EULA acceptance will pop
up –this must be accepted to use the app

Manual Zoom

Manual zoom allows the user to control full-screen magnification
by adjusting the zoom slider at the bottom of the home screen
