EzCAP3104Bisamatureand cost-effectiveproductthatshouldbe youridealchoices.Theyenable
synchronousaudioand video compression and transmission,withtheirpowerfulcompression rateand network
transmission function.Theyarewidelyused inbanks,intelligentcommunities,trafficmanagementunits,medical
systems, educationalsystems, armed forcesand soon.
Inthismanual,you willlearnhowtoinstallthehardwareand driver(software),and howtosetup thesystemsof
thisrange ofproducts.Pleasemakesureyouroperationswiththeproductsarestrictlyinaccordancewiththe
manual, soastokeep the stabilityofthe digital surveillancesystems.
Thefollowingarestandardfunctionsoftheproducts:
(1)Schedulerecordmode
Userscan chooseanyterminadaytorecordand setup recordmodes,i.e.sensoralarmrecord,motion
detection record,manual record,ScheduleRecord.
(2)Motion detection mode
Motiondetectionareasareadjustable.Userscan alsosetmotion detectionsensitivityforeachchannel.The
systembeginstorecordonlywhen motion ofthe detected objecthappens,and itwill stop recording aftera
certainperiod, thisfunction isadjustablebyusers.
(3)Sensoralarmrecordmode
Withextraalarmboard,the systemenablesalarminputand output.
(4)Recycling recordmode
Userscan setrecording storage sequenceforHDD partitions.The recording storage will automatically
swap tothe nextpartition when itisfull.Ifall the partitionsarefull and recycling recordmode isenabled,the
formerrecorded datawillbecovered bynewdata.Userscan alsosetHDD minimumstorage alarm.Then once
the presentstorage spaceisless then the minimumstorage and recycling recordmodeisnotenabled,the
recordwillautomaticallystop.

you ve installedMicrosoft DirectX 9.0.Thenturn on thecomputer, thesystem willremind you to “Found
newhardware”.
7, Justclick “cancel”andignore thepop-up message.

Note:1,Ifyouhave anyantivirussoftwareenabled,please disableitduringtheinstallationofthe
software.
2,Please plugyourEzCAP3104B device intoyourcomputer sUSB2.0portbefore youtry toinstall
thedevice driver.
3,IfyourOSis64-bit,please press F8and select “Disabledigitalsignature Enforcement”toenter
theOSwhen you startthecomputer,
Pleaseinsertthe SoftwareCD intoyourCDdrive,you willgetawindow,(Ifyoucan tgetit,please openthe
installationCD and run “autorun.exe”) select “InstallDriver”.

system are thesame as on MicrosoftXPsystem.

Pleaseselect “OK”torestart yourcomputer.
You willnowneed tocheck thatthe driversareinstalledcorrectly.Connect the EzCAP3104B toyourcomputer,
RightClickon My Computerand LeftClickon properties.Click on Hardwaretab and then DeviceManager.In
the DeviceManagerclick on the “Sound, video and gamecontrollers”correctlyyou shouldsee the “CON104U
AVCapture”and “CON104U AVCapture C”.IfithasaYellowmark nexttoanyone ofthemthen thismeans
thatthe driverisnotinstalled correctly.You willneed toremovethe driverand disconnectthe EzCAP3104B from
the computerand reconnectistoinstallthe driveragain.

Pleaseinsert the SoftwareCD intoyourCD drive,you willget awindow.
Pleaseselect “InstallApplication”and waitforamoment, then click “Next”button inthe window.

You can click “Browse”button toselectinstallation folder.
Pleaseclick “Install”buttontoinstallthe software.

Pleaseclick “Finish”button tocompletethe softwareinstallation,and you shouldsee the Servericon on your
desktop.

Note:Ifyou wanttouninstall WistionDVR,pleaseinsertthe SoftwareCD intoyourCD drive,select “Install
Application”inthe running panel, and select “Remove”touninstallthe software.
Or,pleaseenter “Control Panel”,select “Add orRemoveProgram”,and select “EzCAP3104B”,click “Remove”
button touninstall.

Afteryou installed the devicedriverand theWistionDVR,pleaseconnectthe 3104Bdevicetothe computer,
then doubleclick “Server”icon on yourdesktop and wait foramonment,you shouldsee the running pannel.
Pleaseselect “OK”toenterthe surveillancewindow.Inthe window,you can cilck on afunction keytorealizeyou
want tofunction, for example: record, capture, sound,playback,configuration.If you want toclosethe software,
pleaseclickthe “Quit”button,and click “OK”tocloseit.
Maybe, you need tochange somesettings, pleaseclick “configuration”button toenterthe window.

Pleaseclick “Standard”tochoose “PAL”or “NTSC”foryourinputsignalsystem,and click “Copyto”button,you
shouldseethe window, and click “OK”button.
Next, pleaseclick “Apply”and “OK”button,then restart software.

Note:Ifyouwanttounderstandmore use functions,plesae ordinalclick thesystem menu “Start”—“All
Programs”—“EzCAP3104B”—“Help”
