Operation
Step 1
Take out the camera.
When using the camera for the first time, take out the camera from the housing to insert the microSD
card and charge.

Step 2
Insert the microSD card.
The camera supports video and picture storage in the local memory card.
MicroSD Card Capacity: > 4GB
MicroSD Card Level Requirement: Class 10 and above.

Insert the microSD card into the microSD card slot.

Step 3
Charge the camera.
1Install the Battery
Hold down the arrow and push the battery cover according to the arrow direction. Insert the
battery with EZVIZ logo facing upward and close the cover.
2Connect to Power Outlet
Connect your camera and power outlet via the power cable.

For the first time use: it’s advised to fully charge the camera in the power-off status before
you use the camera

Step 4
Power on the camera.
Power on
Hold down the power button until startup sound plays and the camera status LED indicator
flashes in green. When the indicator becomes steady green, the camera is power-on and standby.
Power off
Hold down the power button until startup sound plays and the camera status LED indicator turns
off.
Please keep the camera powering on when the camera is recording or capturing photos.

Use Gestures on Your Camera

Open the setting interface of current shooting mode.

Camera Modes

Video
The camera supports three recording modes.
Video Record video
Photo+Video Capture picture in a predefined interval while recording video.
Timelapse Video Continuously capture photos in a predefined interval;
Continuously capture photos in a predefined interval and make
the photos into a video.
1Check whether the camer is in the recording mode. If not, move to the left to
select.
2Press to start videoing. The speaker beeps and LED indicator flashes in green.
3Press to stop videoing. The speaker beeps and LED indicator is in green.

Not Videoing Videoing
When SD card is full or the camera is out of power, it will stop videoing and save video/photo
files before it stops.

Video Settings
Parameter Description
Standard When you watch the video and photo of the S2 on a TV/HDTV, the video standards
should be the same as that of the television,
NTSC: Appropriate for the TV/HDTV in North America,
PAL: Appropriate for most of the TV/HDTV outside of North America.
Resolution Higher the resolution you select, the clearer the video will be and the bigger
storage space will need. You can select one resolution as needed. See page 13 for
details.
Frame Rate You can choose from 24 to 120.
Interval Under Video+Photo Mode, the interval (5/10/30/60 seconds) is the predefined
duration for capturing photos when videoing.
The video and photos are of the same resolution
Under Timelapse Mode, the interval (0.5/1/1.5/2/2.5/3/5 seconds) is the predefined
duration for capturing photos.
Slow Motion The video recorded by 120 framerate will turned to be the video of 30 framerate.
Dewarping Adjust image/video to the best shooting effec
Low Light When the environment is dark, the camera can adjust the frame rate to get the
best exposure.
EIS Electronic image stabilization.
Split Mode Any video file which is longer than predefined time will be divided into several files
automatically
Meter Mode Select the exposure region which includes three options: Central Meter, Average
Meter and Spot Meter.
Loop Mode New video and photo files will overwrite the old ones when the microSD card is
full with no prompts. After turning off this mode, once SD card is full, the camera
cannot record or take photos.

Professional Settings
Professional settings allow you to have photos and videos of high resolution and high quality.
You can set the white balance, sharpness, EV compensation and filter to better fit in your personal
style.
Turn on the Professional and then you can set the detailed parameters,
After turning it on, the will appear in the main display.
Camera Temperature
When the camera is working in high resolution or frame rate in the warm environment, it may
consume more power.
When the camera is overheating, it will power off.
When using camera in high resolution or frame rate, please do not move the camera and not use
APP. You can use remote control to replace APP operation. The remote control should be purchased
separately.
Video Resolution
Specific data vary according to different cameras.

1080P60 is appropriate for all scenes.
1080P48, 1080P30, 1080P24, etc. can make the best photos
together with the tripod.

Photo
The camera supports three modes.
Single Shot Take one single photo.
Burst Take photos in a predefined interval.
Timelapse Continuously capture photos in a predefined interval.

Photo Settings
Parameter Description
Megapixels A megapixel is equal to one million pixels
Shutter It decides the time camera may take to enable the shutter.
Burst Rate Eg. 3/1 Sec means taking 3 photos in 1 second.
Meter Mode
Dewarping For details, please refer to Page 12.
Professional After turning it on, the will appear in the main display.

Playback
View the photos or videos in the camera.
Connect with Display
You can connect the camera and monitor with a HDMI cable to play back videos and photos, record,
and get live video.
Connect the camera to the display with a micro-HDMI cable, and power on the camera to show the live
view or playback on the display.
The HDMI cable is not included in the box. Please purchase separately.
Monitor
HDMI Cable
The LCD screen will be invalid when the camera connects with a display. You can switch the recording
mode or enter menu with buttons.

Parameter Description
Misc Settings
Orientation Adjust the Display direction.
Default Mode Set the default Camera Mode for camera powered on.
Vout Mode Select HDMI or CVBS.
Quick Capture Turn on Quick Capture and restart the camera. Hold down , so it
can work by the default Camera Mode.
LED Blink Turn on/off the LED indicator.
Flicker Mode Select according to your frequency of A.C., usually, 60HZ for North
America, Japan, etc., 50HZ for China, Europen countries, etc.
On Screen Display Open/Close screen display icons and digits.
Auto Off Set the time for camera automatic power-off.
Set Date and Time Set camera time and date.
Mic Gain Select the percentage for the Mic Gain.
Speaker Gain Select the percentage for the Speaker Gain.
Auto Lock Set the time for screen automatic lock.
Langauage Select the language you desire.
Camera Reset Press to reset camera parameters to default.

Remote Type Smart: For Remote Control and Selfie Stick
Easy: For Remote Control with Screen
Bind Remote For remote control connection.
Wi-Fi On: You can connect the camera with EZVIZ SPORTS app by connecting
your mobile devices to camera Wi-Fi.
OFF: Turn off the camera Wi-Fi.
SSID Wi-Fi name.
Key Wi-Fi password.
Reset Wi-Fi Press to set the Wi-Fi information to default.
Camera Info Check the camera information.
Camera Status Check the camera status.
More Functions
Swipe from upside to downside to enter the interface shown right.

Wireless Control
You can turn on the camera’s Wi-Fi to allow the remote control or EZVIZ SPORTS app to connect with
the camera.
Tap to turn on Wi-Fi.
You can set the wireless control mode in the setup menu (Please refer to Page 17 for Wi-Fi settings).
• If you select App as the wireless control mode, you can search the “EZVIZ SPORTS” on App
Store or Google PlayTM to download and install the app.
Turn on the Wi-Fi function of your mobile phone, find the Wi-Fi signal of camera and connect
with it.
Wi-Fi Name: EZVIZ_XXXX
Wi-Fi Password: 1234567890
The default Wi-Fi name and password are for first-time log-in purposes only. You
must change this default password to better protect against security risks, such as
the unauthorized access by others to the product that may prevent the product from
functioning properly and/or lead to other undesirable consequences.
The Wi-Fi name and password will be reset to default after the camera is reset.
• If you select Remote as the wireless control mode, refer to the Quick Start Guide of Remote
Control for details.

Dash Mode
1Mount the camera on the front windshield.
2Connect the camera and car charger with data cable (5V 1A), and connect the car
charger and automobile cigarette lighter.
