INTRODUCTION
This documentation is part of the operating instructions of the parking system.
If this manual should contain incomplete or dicult to understand information, it is mandatory to consult the installer: no
initiative is to be taken.
GENERAL INFORMATION
FAAC S.p.A. requires installers and users to strictly comply with the instructions described in this manual, paying particular
attention to the safety warnings.
GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS
All operating and maintenance instructions and warnings given in this manual must be complied with.
Training the personnel responsible for the product is of particular importance, especially with regards to the use, as well as
maintenance and monitoring of compliance with the operating procedures and all safety regulations in this manual.
This manual has been drawn up with the greatest possible care, with the aim of providing accurate information. However,
FAAC S.p.A. declines all explicit and implicit liability for any errors contained in this document.
Moreover, FAAC S.p.A. reserves the right to modify the contents of this manual at any time and without prior notice in order

2.2 GENERAL WARNINGS
It is important for the safety of people to carefully comply with the following precautions.
▫The instructions must be kept intact and must follow the device throughout its life.
▫This product was solely designed and built for the use described in this document.
▫The user must not attempt any kind of repair or direct intervention and must only contact the Authorised Service
Centre.
FAAC S.p.A. shall not be held liable for damage caused by failure to comply with the warnings and
safety instructions.
2.3 LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
▫In no event shall FAAC S.p.A. or its suppliers be liable for any direct or indirect damages (including consequential loss
of prots or savings, interruption of trading, loss of information or data and other pecuniary loss) incurred by the User
or by third parties due to use of or failure to use this product.
▫FAAC S.p.A. disclaims any liability deriving from improper use or use other than that for which the product is intended.
▫FAAC S.p.A. shall not be held liable for unsafe and improper operation of the device if non-original system componen-
ts are used.
▫FAAC S.p.A. shall not be held liable for the consequences deriving from improper operations performed by the user.

This manual is specically intended for managers, operators and maintenance technicians.
The reader must check they have the necessary qualications in order to perform the operating instructions in this manual.

3 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
3.1 INTENDED USE
Manually assisted payment unit for parking revenue system
Any other use and/or modication is not permitted and could be dangerous.
FAAC S.p.A. disclaims any liability deriving from improper use or use other than that for which the
product is intended.
3.1.1 Limitations of use
Do not install the peripheral in an explosive atmosphere (ATEX use): the presence of inammable
gases or fumes is a serious safety hazard.
3.1.2 Storage
If placed into storage, the peripheral must be:
▫Protected from the weather,
▫Kept at a constant temperature,
▫Stored in dry environment,
▫Packed properly with the addition of dessicant products or silica gel (or equivalent).
Before switching on the peripheral after a long period of inactivity, it is advisable to contact specia-
lised personnel to check the condition of its internal components.

3.3.1 Functionality
The peripheral allows the rates of the parking system to be calculated and managed.
It can be used as:
▫Central cashiering conguration where the payment is made at the central location within the car park
▫Exit cashiering conguration where the payment is made at the exit lane upon leaving the car park
Depending on the options installed, the peripheral handles the following:

4 USE
4.1 USE BY THE OPERATOR
The operator is responsible for the regular activities of:

All procedures relating to daily activities are described and illustrated in the MAINTENANCE chapter.
The management software of the peripheral allows the operator to perform all collection and sale operations.
The images shown in the following paragraphs are only given as examples and certain functions or
illustrated texts depend on the options installed on the peripheral.
The following example shows the sequence of messages relating to payment of a ticket.
