This documentation is specically intended for technicians; therefore, some information which can easily be gathered by
reading the texts and examining the illustrations may not have been further specied.

1.2 DESCRIPTION
This manual provides the correct procedures and the requirements for safely installing and maintaining ParQube APS.
In writing the manual, the results of the risk analysis performed by FAAC S.p.A. over the product's entire life cycle are taken
into account in implementing effective risk reduction.
The phases of the product's life cycle have been taken into account:
▫ Reception/Handling;
▫ Assembly and installation;
▫ Operation;
▫ Maintenance/resolution of any anomalies;
▫ Disposal at end of the product's life.
The risks arising from the installation and use of the product have been taken into consideration:
▫ Risks for the installer/maintenance technician (technical staff);
▫ Risks for the operator;
▫ Risks to the integrity of the product (damage).

1.2.1. Recipients
This manual has been specically designed for installers and maintenance technicians.
The installation technician must:
▫ have completed the basic course at a HUB Parking Technology location
▫ have technical and electrical skills;
▫ have skills to carry out masonry work in a professional manner.
Verify in the Roles that you have the required specications to carry out the instructions illustrated in
this manual.
1.3 ORIGINAL VERSION IN ITALIAN
All versions of this manual in a language other than the original are to be understood as a translation of the original Italian
version.
1.3.1. Preferential right of interpretation
In the event of any differences between the translated and the original version, the Italian version shall be considered the
only valid version published and recognized by FAAC S.p.A..

2 GENERAL CONDITIONS
2.1 GENERAL WARNINGS
It is important for the safety of persons to read and follow the warnings contained in all parts
of this manual.
▫ This manual is an integral part of the product and as such must always be kept intact to allow future consultation by the
various operators until the dismantlement and/or scrapping of the product.
▫ In case of loss or damage to this manual, you can get a new copy by asking FAAC S.p.A.
▫ This manual reects the state of the art at the time of placing the product on the market. Any changes, improvements
or adjustments made to the product sold after that time do not oblige FAAC S.p.A. to service the previously provided
product or to update the technical documentation supplied.
▫ This product was solely designed and built for the use described in this document.
▫ The installation technician must rst be trained and educated on the work to be carried out on the product and limit it
to the extent of his/her competence.
▫ Before performing any operation on the peripheral, disconnect the power supply.
▫ Make sure the inside parts of the unit do not come into contact with water.
▫ For the best results, FAAC S.p.A. recommends cleaning and performing maintenance on a regular basis to keep the
system in optimum condition.
▫ Only through the use of original spare parts can the functional reliability be guaranteed and the product performance
optimized.
▫ Modications to the product not previously agreed upon with FAAC S.p.A. and executed by the installation technician
and/or manager should be considered entirely the responsibility of the same. All the operations required to maintain
the product before and during its use are the responsibility of the technician or manager.
▫ Any tampering or modication of the product not previously authorized by FAAC S.p.A. relieves the same from damage
caused or attributable to those aforementioned acts and automatically invalidates the warranty responsibility of the
same.
▫ The user must not attempt any kind of repair or direct intervention and must contact only the authorized service center.
▫ Training the personnel responsible for the product is of particular importance, especially with regards to the use, as well
as maintenance and monitoring of compliance with the operating procedures and all safety regulations in this manual.

2.2 LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
▫ In no event shall FAAC S.p.A. or its suppliers be liable for direct or indirect damages (also including damages for loss of
business prots or savings, business interruption, loss of information or data and other economic losses) occurring to
the user or any third party from the use or non-use of this product.
▫ FAAC S.p.A. is in no way responsible for the consequences of any incorrect operation by the user.
▫ FAAC S.p.A. shall not be held responsible for errors or data loss deriving from the use of this manual.
▫ FAAC S.p.A. accepts no responsibility for damage caused to persons or property, and consequences of the improper
functioning of the device in case of:
▫incorrect installation
▫ improper power supply
▫ inadequate cleaning and maintenance
▫ unauthorized modication
▫ improper or different use from the product's intended use.
▫ use of aftermarket parts
▫ This manual has been compiled with the greatest possible care in order to provide accurate information. FAAC S.p.A.
declines any explicit and implicit responsibility for any errors contained herein.

2.4 RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SAFETY
▫ Despite the full observance of safety regulations by FAAC S.p.A., those who work on the product must be fully aware of
the potential risks that still exist while using it.
▫ An ambient working light of at least 200 lux is required.
▫ Use the transport and lifting means recommended in the instruction manual.
▫ You can turn on the product for nal testing only after you have completed the installation and set up all the necessary
safety devices.
▫ The installation must be performed in accordance with current standards. The installer's safety is linked to environmental
and operating conditions that minimize the risk of accidents and severe damage.

2.4.1. Recommendations for the safety of the installer/maintenance technician
The installer/maintenance technician is responsible for the installation/testing of the system.
The installer/maintenance technician must:
▫ Demonstrate or declare that they possess the technical-professional competence to carry out the installation, testing
and maintenance as required in this manual.
▫Read and respect the instruction manual.
▫ Always comply with all the requirements provided in the instructions and warning tables appearing in the procedures
outlined in this manual.
▫ Delimit the work area and prevent the access of unauthorized persons to the area.
▫ Always wear personal protective equipment recommended for the type of activities to be performed.

wearing them.

3.1 PACKAGING

The product is packaged, ensuring at the same time mechanical protection and protection against attack from the external
environment.
The cardboard boxes are placed on a wooden pallet to minimize the risk of shocks and impacts during the loading,
transportation, transshipment and unloading operations.
ISO symbols (1) are printed on the packaging indicating the requirements and obligations for the safety of operators and
the product during the phases of transport, storage and handling.

The packaging is provided with sensors which
indicate whether the product has been subjected
to shock or has been turned over during transport
or handling.
If one or both indicators (1) and (2) are red,
proceed as follows:
1. Do not refuse delivery
2. Write on the document that the indicators are
red and then check if the content is damaged
3. If the content is damaged, leave it in the
original packaging and request an inspection
by the carrier within 3 days of delivery.
