I. IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
Read this manual thoroughly before you use the product. Always include this
manual when you give this product to third parties. This instruction manual is also
available on the website www.factem.com.
• Always maintain a distance of at least 10cm between the eardomes and
pacemakers or implantable debrillators (ICDs) in the cockpit because these
products generate permanent magnetic elds.
• The headset may have an eect on magnetic compasses.
• Keep the product, accessories and packaging parts out of reach of children to
avoid ingestion.
• When active noise reduction (ANR) is activated, typical aircraft sounds (for
example engines, propellers, alarms etc.) may seem dierent. Before using the
headset, verify that with ANR activated these sounds can be heard and recognised.
Adjust the dashboard volume to a level which allows these audio signals to be
heard properly.
• This product is capable of producing acoustic pressure greater than 85dB (A). In
many countries, 85dB (A) is the maximum legally admissible level for continuous
exposure to sound during the working day. Do not listen at an elevated volume
for long periods of time, in order to avoid hearing damage.
1.1. Prevent accidents and risks to health
• Keep the product dry and do not expose it to extreme temperatures (hairdryer,
heating element, extended exposure to the sun etc.) in order to avoid corrosion
and deformation.
• Only clean the product with a soft, dry cloth. Never repair or attempt to repair
a faulty product yourself. Contact FACTEM. Only replace the product parts for
which the replacement instructions are described in this manual. All other parts of
the product must be replaced by a certied repair partner.
• Only use accessories and replacement parts from FACTEM.
