PART1. BEFOREUSINGTHE APPLIANCE
SafetyInstructions
•IfthemodelcontainsR600a-seenameplateunderrefrigerant(thecoolantisobutane),
naturalsgasthat, is veryenvironmentallyfriendlybut alsocombustible.When
transporting andinstallingtheunitcaremustbetaken toensurethatnoneofthe
refrigerationcircuitcomponentsbecomedamaged. In theevent of damageavoid
nakedflamesorignitionsourcesand ventilatetheroomin whichthe unitisplaced
forafewminutes.
Warning: Keepventilationopeningsinapplianceenclosureorinstructureforbuilding
in,clearofobstruction.
•Donotusemechanicaldevicesorotherartificial meanstoaccelerate thedefrosting
process.
•Donotuseelectricalappliancesinthe refrigeratororfreezercompartmentofthe
appliance.
•If thisapplianceistoreplacean oldrefrigeratorwithalock;breakor removethe lock
asasafetymeasurebeforestoringit,toprotectchildren whileplayingmight lock
themselvesinside.
•Oldrefrigeratorsand freezerscontaininsulationgasesandrefrigerant,whichmust

Recommendations

hands,becausetheskinmaystickto cold surfaces.

•Theapplianceisnotintended forusebypeople(includingchildren)withreduced
physical,sensoryormentalcapabilities,orlackofexperienceandknowledge,unless
theyhavebeengivensupervisionorinstructionconcerninguseoftheapplianceby
apersonresponsiblefortheirsafety.Childrenshouldbesupervised toensurethat
theydon’t playwith theappliance.
•Ifthesupply cordisdamageditmustbereplacedbythemanufacturerorservice

Switching OntheAppliance
•Beforeswitching on, placetheapplianceon upright position
andwaitat leastthreehourswithoutmoving theappliance. This
will givethe refrigerantcircuittimeto settle andoperate
efficiently.
•Cleanthe appliancethoroughly,especiallyintheinterior, before
use(SeeCleaningandMaintenance).
•Installationofthe appliance andelectrical connectionsmust be
carriedout byaqualified technician, in accordancewith the
Installation Manualandlocalregulations.
•Installationprocedureintothekitchenunitisgiven in the
Installation Manual. Thisproductis intended tobe used in
properkitchenunitsonly.
•Theappliancemustbe connected with aproperly installedfused
socket.Powersupply (AC)andvoltageattheoperatingpoint
mustwiththe detailson the name plate ofthe appliance (name
plateislocated ontheinsideleft oftheappliance).
•Inserttheplugintoasocket withanefficient groundconnection.
If the sockethasnogroundcontactortheplugdoesnot match,
wesuggestyoutocallanauthorized electricianforassistance.
•Manufacturerisnot responsibleforfailuretocompletethe
groundconnection as describedinthisbooklet.
•Therecan beanodorwhenyou firstswitchonthe appliance.Itwilldisappearafter
theappliancestartstocool.

PART2. HOWTOOPERATETHE APPLIANCE
ThermostatSetting
•Thermostat automaticallyregulatesthe insidetemperatureoftherefrigerator
compartment andfreezercompartment.Byrotatingtheknobfromposition1to5,
coldertemperaturescanbe obtained.
•The“0“ positionshowsthermostatisclosedand nocoolingisavailable.
•Forshort-termstorageoffoodinthefreezercompartment,youcansetthe knob
between minimumandmediumposition(1-3).
•Forlong-termstorage of food inthe freezercompartment,you cansetknobmedium
position.(3-4)
• Notethat; theambienttemperature,temperature of thefreshlystoredfoodand
howoftenthedooris opened, affectsthetemperatureintherefrigeratorand
freezercompartments. If required, change thetemperaturesetting.
•When youfirstswitchon theappliance, youshouldideallytrytorun itwithoutanyfood
infor24hoursandnotopen thedoor.Ifyouneedto useitstraightaway,trynottoput
muchfood inside.
•Iftheunitis switchedofforunplugged,youmustallowatleast5minutesbefore
restartinginordernotto damagethecompressor.
• LARDERS (withoutstarrating):Larders(coolers)havenotanyfreezercompartment
butcancooldownto4-6°C.

PART4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
•Disconnecttheappliancefromthepowersupply beforecleaning.
•Donot pourwaterover theappliance.
•The refrigeratorcompartment should be cleaned periodically
usingasolution ofbicarbonate of soda andlukewarmwater.
•Cleanthe accessoriesseparatelywith soap andwater.Donot
puttheminthedishwasher.
•Donot useabrasiveproducts,detergentsorsoaps.After
washing, rinsewith cleanwateranddrycarefully.Whenthe
cleaningoperationshavebeencompleted,reconnectthe plug
with dry hands.
PART3. FOODSTORAGE INTHE APPLIANCE
Refrigeratorcompartmentisusedforstoring freshfoodforfewdays.
•Donotplacefoodindirectcontact withthe rearwallof therefrigeratorcompartment.
Leavesomespacearoundfoodtoallowcirculationof air.
•Donotplacehotfood orevaporating liquidin therefrigerator.
•Alwaysstorefood inclosed containersorwrapped.
•Toreducehumidityand avoid formation of frost, neverplaceliquidsin unsealed
containersintherefrigerator.
•Meat ofalltypes,wrappedinpackages,is recommendedto be placedon theglass
shelfjustabovethevegetablebin,wheretheairiscolder.
•Youcanputthefruitsandvegetablesinto crisperwithoutpacking.
•Toavoidthecoldairescaping,trynotto open thedoortoooften,andnot leavethe
dooropenforalongtime.

Defrosting
• Defrostingoccursautomatically in refrigerator compartment during operation;the
defrostwateris collectedbythe evaporatingtrayandevaporatesautomatically.
•The evaporatingtrayand the defrost waterdrain hole shouldbe cleanedperiodically
with defrostdrain plug to preventthe waterfromcollectingon the bottomof the
refrigerator insteadof flowing out.
•Youcanalsopour½glassofthewatertodrainholetocleaninside.
Replacing theLightBulb
Whenreplacingthebulbof therefrigeratorcompartment;
1. Unplugthe unitfromthepowersupply,
2. Press thehooks onthe sidesofthe lightcovertopandremovethelightcover
3. Changethe presentlightbulbwithanewoneof notmorethan15W.
4. Replacethelightcoverandafterwaiting5minutesplug theunit.

Ifyourrefrigeratorisnotworkingproperly,itmaybeaminor problem,thereforecheckthe
following.
Theappliancedoesnotoperate,
Checkif;
•Thereisapowerfailure,
•Themainsplug isnotproperlypluggedin,orisloose
•Thethermostat setting isonposition “0”,
•Thesocketisdefective.Tocheckthis,plugin anotherappliancethat youknowwhich
isworkingintothe samesocket.
Theapplianceperformspoorly;
Checkif;
•Youhaveoverloaded theappliance,
•Thedoorsarenot closedperfectly,
•Therearenotenoughventilation ductsonthe kitchenunitasmentionedinthe
Installation Manual.
Ifthereisnoise;
The coolinggaswhichcirculatesin the refrigeratorcircuit maymakeaslightnoise
(bubblingsound)evenwhenthecompressorisnot running.Donotworry,thisisquite
normal.Ifthesesoundsaredifferent checkif;
•Theapplianceisinstalledfirmly asdescribedin theInstallationManual.
•Theobjectsontheappliancearevibrating.
Ifthereis waterinthelowerpartoftherefrigerator;
Checkif;
Thedrainholefordefrostwaterisnotclogged(usedefrostdrainplugtoclean thedrain
hole).

If yourfridge isnotcooling enough;
Yourfridge is designed tooperatein the ambient temperatureintervals statedin the
standards,accordingtotheclimateclassstatedintheinformationlabel.Wedonot
recommend operatingyourfridgeoutofstatedtemperaturesvaluelimitsintermsof cooling
effectiveness.

Recommendations
•Inordertoincreasespaceand improvetheappearance, the “coolingsection”of
refrigeratorsis positionedinsidethebackwallof therefrigeratorcompartment. When
thecompressoris working, thiswallis covered with frostorwaterdrops.Donot
worry.This isquitenormal.The applianceshouldbe defrostedonly ifanexcessively
thickicelayerforms on thebackwall.
•Iftheapplianceisnotusedforalong time(forexample duringthesummer
holidays), setthethermostatknob toposition“0”.Defrostandcleantherefrigerator
leavingthe dooropento preventtheformationof mildewandsmell.
