Introduction
1. INTRODUCTION
Dear Customer,
thank you for purchasing our product.
Our electric bicycle is a combination of inno-
vation, design and comfort and has been de-
signed and manufactured exclusively in Italy.
The innovative concept of assisted pedalling
will revolutionize your cycling habits and open
up new horizons; assisted pedalling oers a
more comfortable ride without detracting any-
thing from the healthy pleasure of cycling.
This bicycle has been manufactured using the
highest quality materials in conformity with all
the applicable standards and regulations.
Before using your new bicycle, we strongly rec-
ommend that you read and familiarize yourself
with the information and instructions con-
tained in this user and maintenance handbook
(hereafter referred to as the“Manual”).
The acronym EPAC is derived from the initials
Electrically Power Assisted Cycle.
In order to be assigned the EPAC classica-
tion, an electric bicycle must satisfy the re-
quirements set out in the European Standard
EN 15194-2008 and the Machine Directive
2006/42/EC.
In short, in order to be approved for EPAC clas-
sication, an electric bicycle must comply with
the following requirements:
- Auxiliary electric motor having a maxi-
mum continuous rated power of 0.25 kW.
- Propulsive power cut-o when the cyclist
stops pedalling.
- Gradual reduction of auxiliary power out-
put as the vehicle speed increases and
nal cut-o when the speed reaches 25
km/h.
Provided the requirements set out in the
Directives are adhered to and maintained,
you may continue to use your bicycle in ac-
cordance with the regulations governing
the use of traditional (non electric) bicycles,
which means that may use it on cycle paths
and that you are NOT required wear a safety
helmet, take out Public Liability insurance
or t the vehicle with a license plate.
Any attempt to modify the performance or
specications of your EPAC bicycle may re-
sult in legal proceedings and nes.
In order to use your EPAC bicycle on the
public roads, you must rst have it tted
with all the accessories stipulated in the
Highway Code (front and rear lights, acous-
tic warning device, etc.) by a qualied in-
stallation technician.
In some countries it may be necessary to en-
sure that the bicycle specications comply
with the locally applicable standards. Check all
such requirements before using your bicycle.

3. DESCRIPTION OF SYMBOLS
This manual contains a series of symbols that
are intended to draw your attention to particu-
larly important information and instructions.
The meaning of these symbols is explained below:
Hazard:
This symbol indicates a potential falling
hazard and the consequent risk of per-
sonal injury and damage (to both your-
self and third parties).
Attention:
This symbol indicates that improper
conduct may result in damage to prop-
erty or the environment.
N.B.:
This symbol indicates important informa-
tion designed to help you get the best out of
your bicycle
Respect the recommended tightening torque:
This symbol indicates that it is important to
apply the correct tightening torque in order
to guarantee safety when using you bicy-
cle. In order to do this it is necessary to use a
torque wrench. If you do not possess such a
tool, we recommend that you ask a qualied
technician to carry out this operation. Incor-
rect tightening torque may result in com-
ponents breaking or becoming detached,
resulting in dangerous falls. Turn to the last
pages of this manual for a list of the correct
torque values.
4. NOTES FOR PARENTS AND LEGAL GUARDIANS
Parents and legal guardians are responsible for
the actions and safety of the children in their
care, as well as the safe condition of the bicycle
and its suitability for the cyclist.
This bicycle is NOT suitable for use by children,
however, if you decide that your child is capa-
ble of using it, you must ensure that he/she is
fully aware of how to use the EPAC bicycle safe-
ly and responsibly. The best way to verify this is
to allow him/her to ride it in the environment
the bicycle was designed to be used in.
