DESCRIPTIONS
WARNING: To reduce the risk of burns, electrocution, fire, or
injury to persons:
1. When not in use, unplug the iron. Allow it to cool and store in a safe,
dry location.
2. This iron is hot when in use. Do not let eyes or bare skin touch
heated surfaces.
3. Do not place the heated iron directly on any surface while it is hot,
other than a thermal mat.
4. Never leave the appliance unattended while plugged in.
5. Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by,
on, or near children or individuals with certain disabilities.
6. This iron is intended to be used only on head hair.
7. Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in
this manual.
8. Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug.
9. Never allow the power supply cord to be pulled, jerked, strained,
twisted, or severely bent, especially at the plug connections. The
foregoing may damage the cord, including at or near the high flex point
of entry into the appliance, causing it to rupture and short. Handle the
cord carefully for longer life.
10. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. Do not wrap the cord
around the appliance.
11. Never drop or insert any object(s) into any opening in the appliance.
12. Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol spray products are
being used or where oxygen is being administered.
13. Do not use an extension cord with this appliance.
14. Never use while sleeping.
15. Do not operate with voltage converter.
16. This appliance is provided with a protective device that may make it
inoperable under some abnormal conditions (such as immersion of
the appliance).
17. If appliance is not working properly, return it to Customer Service for
examination and possible replacement under warranty.
18. While heating or cooling the appliance, never place it on a soft surface,
such as a bed, couch, or carpet.
19. Do not use hot plates near eyes, skin or other heat sensitive areas.
20. Do not leave iron in hot humid places.
21. Discontinue use immediately and unplug if iron becomes too hot or
malfunctions in any way.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is for: 110-240V AC, 50/60HZ, 64W
BASIC OPERATIONS
1. Ensure that the attachment is properly locked into the tool base.
2. Plug appliance into the correct power source.
3. Place thermal glove on the hand prior to turning the tool on.
4. Press the power button once to turn on the iron.
5. To select from the preset temperature settings use the ( ) or ( ) buttons.
Fine : 170°C
Medium : 180°C - 190°C
Coarse : 200°C - 215°C
6. The selected temperature will illuminate and blink until the iron has reached
the desired setting.
7. After 1 hour of stand-by, the tool will shut off.
8. To turn off the tool, press the power button once.
9. Unplug the tool directly from the wall; do not pull on the cord.
ATTACHMENT PLACEMENT & REMOVAL
1. Ensure that the iron is unplugged and not heated before adding or
switching attachments.
2. Using the thermal glove provided, attach the desired styling attachment to
the tool base by lining up the arrow to the arrow on the UNLOCK
position.To lock attachment in to place: Press down the attachment at the
cool tip end and twist the handle ring to the left to match up the arrow
to the arrow on the LOCK position.
TO UNLOCK THE ATTACHMENT: Allow the attachment to cool and turn the
tool off before removing as it may still be heated. Twist the handle ring to the
right to match up the arrow to the arrow on the UNLOCK position.

This appliance is for: 110-240V, 50/60Hz, 55W
When plugging the appliance into the outlet prior to use, be aware
that the appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the
other). As a safety feature this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only
one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.
If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to
defeat this safety feature.
BASIC OPERATIONS
1. Plug the appliance into the correct power supply
2. Press the power button once to turn on the iron
3. Use the arrow buttons to adjust the temperature settings
according to hair type
– Fine Hair: White - 320°F (160°C)
Blue - 340°F (170°C)
– Medium Hair: Light Green - 360°F (180°C)
Dark Green - 380°F (190°C)
– Coarse Hair: Light Red - 400°F (200°C)
Dark Red - 420°F (215°C)
4. After 1 hour of stand-by, the curling iron will shut off.
5. To turn off the iron press and hold the power button.
6. Unplug the iron directly from the wall; do not pull on the cord.

Wanneer u het apparaat vóór gebruik op het stopcontact

BASISHANDELINGEN

4. Na 1 uur stand-by wordt de stijltang uitgeschakeld.
5. Druk op de aan / uit-knop om de stijltang uit te schakelen.
6. Koppel de stijltang direct van de muur los; trek niet aan het
snoer.
1. Zorg ervoor dat de loop goed is vergrendeld in de tool.

HET PLAATSEN EN VERWIJDEREN VAN DE LOOP
1.Zorg ervoor dat de tool ontkoppeld en afgekoeld is voordat de loop wordt
verwisseld.
2. Gebruik de bijgeleverde thermische handschoen, plaats de gewenste loop
op de basis. Zet de basis op “unlock” en plaats de pijl van de loop op de pijl
van de basis en duw de loop op zijn plaats. Draai de ring naar links om deze
vast te zetten.
HET ONTGRENDELEN VAN DE LOOP
Zet de tool uit en laat deze helemaal afkoelen voordat u de loop ontgrendelt.
Draai de ring naar rechts totdat de pijlen op de “unlock” positie staan.

MAINTENANCE
Your appliance is virtually maintenance free. No lubrication is needed.
Keep heated surfaces clean and free of dust, dirt, and hair spray.
If cleaning becomes necessary, disconnect the appliance from the
power source and wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. If the cord
becomes twisted, untwist prior to use.
When in frequent daily use, set the iron on a damp towel, or in an iron
holder between applications.
Electrical converters CANNOT be used.
If any malfunction occurs, do not attempt to repair it yourself.
Call the Customer Service. (See “LIMITED WARRANTY”
Section).
GROUND INSTRUCTIONS, SERVICING OF DOUBLE-INSULATED
APPLIANCES
In a double-insulated appliance, two systems of insulation are
provided instead of grounding. No grounding means is provided
on a double-insulated appliance, nor should a means for grounding
be added to the appliance. Servicing a double-insulated appliance
requires extreme care and knowledge of the system and should
be done only by a qualified service personnel. Replacement parts
for a double-insulated appliance must be identical to the parts they
replace. A double-insulated appliance is marked with the words
“DOUBLE INSULATION or DOUBLE INSULATED.” The symbol within
a square may also be marked on the appliance.
ONDERHOUD
Uw apparaat is vrijwel onderhoudsvrij. Oliën niet nodig. Houd verwarmde
oppervlakken schoon en vrij van stof, vuil en haarlak. Als schoonmaken
nodig is, koppelt u het apparaat los van de stroombron en veegt u de
buitenkant af met een vochtige doek. Als het snoer verdraaid raakt, moet
u het vóór gebruik verdraaien.
Wanneer u de stijltang regelmatig gebruikt, zet u de stijltang op een
vochtige handdoek of in een ijzeren houder.
Elektrische converters KUNNEN NIET worden gebruikt.
Als er een storing optreedt, probeer deze dan niet zelf te repareren.

GRONDINSTRUCTIES, ONDERHOUD VAN DUBBEL-GEÏSOLEERDE
APPARATEN
In een dubbel geïsoleerd apparaat worden twee isolatiesystemen
geleverd in plaats van aarding. Er is geen aarding voorzien op een
dubbel geïsoleerd apparaat en er mag ook geen middel voor aarding
aan het apparaat worden toegevoegd. Onderhoud aan een dubbel
geïsoleerd apparaat vereist uiterste zorg en kennis van het systeem en
mag alleen worden gedaan door gekwalificeerd onderhoudspersoneel.
Vervangingsonderdelen voor een dubbel geïsoleerd apparaat moeten
identiek zijn aan de onderdelen die zij vervangen. Een dubbel geïsoleerd
apparaat is gemarkeerd met de woorden “DUBBELE ISOLATIE of
DUBBEL GEÏSOLEERD.” Het symbool binnen een vierkant kan ook

What Does This Warranty Cover? Any malfunction or defect
caused by faulty materials or workmanship for any Farouk Systems,
Inc. appliance that was purchased through a professional salon or
professional salon chain.
How Long Does The Warranty Last? Two (2) years from the date
of purchase.
Limitations. (A) THE DURATION OF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF
MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, GOOD
AND WORKMANLIKE PERFORMANCE OF SERVICE, OR OTHERWISE,

What Will Farouk Do? Farouk Systems, Inc. will replace your
appliance at no charge other than a $15.00 return shipping and
handling fee. The replacement appliance is warranted for the
remainder of the original two (2) year warranty period. If the tool sent
in is no longer available, it will be replaced with a comparable tool.
What Does This Warranty Not Cover? This warranty does not
cover any steel parts; plastic parts; flex cord; damages caused by
negligence, misuse, tampering, alteration, failure to follow safety,
operation or maintenance instructions; appliances purchased
through any internet auction site or from any other outlet that is not
an authorized reseller; or alteration or removal of the model number
or other identifying marks on the appliance or the packaging.
Further, this warranty does not cover normal wear and tear.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is for: 110-240V AC, 50/60HZ, 64W
BASIC OPERATIONS
1. Ensure that the attachment is properly locked into the tool base.
2. Plug appliance into the correct power source.
3. Place thermal glove on the hand prior to turning the tool on.
4. Press the power button once to turn on the iron.
5. To select from the preset temperature settings use the ( ) or ( ) buttons.
Fine : 170°C
Medium : 180°C - 190°C
Coarse : 200°C - 215°C
6. The selected temperature will illuminate and blink until the iron has reached
the desired setting.
7. After 1 hour of stand-by, the tool will shut off.
8. To turn off the tool, press the power button once.
9. Unplug the tool directly from the wall; do not pull on the cord.
ATTACHMENT PLACEMENT & REMOVAL
1. Ensure that the iron is unplugged and not heated before adding or
switching attachments.
2. Using the thermal glove provided, attach the desired styling attachment to
the tool base by lining up the arrow to the arrow on the UNLOCK
position.To lock attachment in to place: Press down the attachment at the
cool tip end and twist the handle ring to the left to match up the arrow
to the arrow on the LOCK position.
TO UNLOCK THE ATTACHMENT: Allow the attachment to cool and turn the
tool off before removing as it may still be heated. Twist the handle ring to the
right to match up the arrow to the arrow on the UNLOCK position.

MAINTENANCE
Your appliance is virtually maintenance free. No lubrication is needed. Keep
heated surfaces clean and free of dust, dirt, and hair spray. If cleaning
becomes necessary, disconnect the appliance from the power source and
wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. If the cord becomes twisted, untwist prior
to use.
When in frequent daily use, set the iron on a thermal mat or other proper
surface.
Electrical converters CANNOT be used.
If any malfunction occurs, do not attempt to repair the tool yourself.
Call the Customer Service. (See “LIMITED WARRANTY” Section).
GROUND INSTRUCTIONS, SERVICING OF DOUBLE-INSULATED
APPLIANCES
In a double-insulated appliance, two systems of insulation are provided
instead of grounding. No grounding means is provided on a double-insulated
appliance, nor should a means for grounding be added to the appliance.
Servicing a double-insulated appliance requires extreme care and knowledge
of the system and should be done only by a qualified service personnel.
Replacement parts for a double-insulated appliance must be identical to the

OPERATIONS DE BASE
1. S’assurer que l’attache est verrouillée correctement à la base
de l’outil.
2. Brancher l’appareil à la source d’alimentation électrique appropriée.
3. Mettre le gant thermique sur la main avant de mettre en marche l’outil.
4. Allumer le fer en appuyant une fois sur le mouton de marche.
5. Appuyer sur les boutons ( ) ou ( ) pour sélectionner la température
prédéfinie :
Cheveux fins : 170 °C

6. La température sélectionnée s’illumine et clignote jusqu’à ce que
le fer atteint le réglage désiré.
7. Après 1 heure de mise en veille, le fer s’éteint automatiquement.

PLACEMENT ET RETRAIT DE L’ATTACHE
1. Avant d’ajouter ou de changer une attache, s’assurer que le fer n’est
pas chaud et qu’il est débranché.
2. Avec le gant thermal, fixer l’attache de coiffage désirée à la base de
l’outil en alignant la flèche à la flèche à la position UNLOCK
POUR VERROUILLER L’ATTACHE : Appuyer sur l’attache à l’extrémité
refroidie et tourner la bague de la poignée vers la gauche afin d’aligner
la flèche à la flèche à la position LOCK.
Pour déverrouiller l’attache : Laisser l’attache refroidir et avant le retrait,
mettre l’outil hors tension, car il pourrait être encore chaud. Tourner la
bague de la poignée vers la droite afin d’aligner la flèche à la flèche
à la position UNLOCK.

MAINTENANCE
Virtuellement, Votre appareil n’a pas besoin de maintenance. Il n’a
pas besoin de lubrification. Juste nettoyez les surfaces chauffées. Si
le nettoyage devient nécessaire, déconnectez l’appareil de la source
électrique et nettoyez l’extérieur de l’appareil avec un tissu humide. Si
le fil est mal tourné, retournez le avant l’usage.
En cas d’utilisation quotidienne fréquente, placez le fer sur une natte
chauffante ou une autre surface adaptée.
L’utilisation des adaptateurs N’EST PAS POSSIBLE.
Si vous rencontrez des problèmes de mal fonctionnement,
n’essayez pas vous-même de réparer l’appareil. Appelez le centre
