When using electric appliance, especially when children are present, basic safety
precautions should always be followed, including the following.

electrically live when switch is Off.

DESCRIPTIONS WARNING: To reduce the risk of burns, electrocution, fire, or

1. This appliance does not contain an auto shut-off feature. When not in
use, unplug the iron. Allow it to cool and store in a safe, dry location.
2. This iron is hot when in use. Do not let eyes or bare skin touch
heated surfaces.
3. Do not place the heated iron directly on any surface while it is hot,
other than a thermal mat.
4. Never leave the appliance unattended while plugged in.
5. Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by,
on, or near children or individuals with certain disabilities.
6. This iron is intended to be used only on head hair.
7. Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in
this manual.
8. Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug.
9. Never allow the power supply cord to be pulled, jerked, strained,
twisted, or severely bent, especially at the plug connections. The
foregoing may damage the cord, including at or near the high flex point
of entry into the appliance, causing it to rupture and short. Handle the
cord carefully for longer life.
10. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. Do not wrap the cord
around the appliance.
11. Never drop or insert any object(s) into any opening in the appliance.
12. Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol spray products are
being used or where oxygen is being administered.
13. Do not use an extension cord with this appliance.
14. Never use while sleeping.
15. Do not operate with voltage converter.
16. This appliance is provided with a protective device that may make it
inoperable under some abnormal conditions (such as immersion of
the appliance).
17. If appliance is not working properly, return it to Customer Service for
examination and possible replacement under warranty.
18. While heating or cooling the appliance, never place it on a soft surface,
such as a bed, couch, or carpet.
19. Do not use hot plates near eyes, skin or other heat sensitive areas.
20. Do not leave iron in hot humid places.
21. Discontinue use immediately and unplug if iron becomes too hot or
malfunctions in any way.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is for: 110-240V, 50/60HZ, 50W
When plugging the appliance into the outlet prior to use, be aware
that the appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the
other). As a safety feature this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only
one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.
If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt
to defeat this safety feature.
BASIC OPERATIONS
1. Plug the appliance into the correct power supply.
2. Turn on the curling iron by pressing the power button
to the ON position.
3. Turn off curling iron by pressing the power button
to the OFF position.
4. Unplug the curling iron directly from the wall; do not
pull on the cord.

MAINTENANCE
Your appliance is virtually maintenance free. No lubrication is needed.
Keep heated surfaces clean and free of dust, dirt, and hair spray.
If cleaning becomes necessary, disconnect the appliance from the
power source and wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. If the cord
becomes twisted, untwist prior to use.
Electrical converters CANNOT be used.
If any malfunction occurs, do not attempt to repair the
tool yourself. Call the Customer Service. (See “LIMITED
WARRANTY” Section).
GROUND INSTRUCTIONS, SERVICING OF DOUBLE-INSULATED
APPLIANCES
In a double-insulated appliance, two systems of insulation are
provided instead of grounding. No grounding means is provided
on a double-insulated appliance, nor should a means for grounding
be added to the appliance. Servicing a double-insulated appliance
requires extreme care and knowledge of the system and should
be done only by a qualified service personnel. Replacement parts
for a double-insulated appliance must be identical to the parts they
replace. A double-insulated appliance is marked with the words
“DOUBLE INSULATION or DOUBLE INSULATED.” The symbol within
a square may also be marked on the appliance.

Thank you for purchasing our products! Farouk Systems, Inc. is
a company comprised primarily of professional hairdressers that
serves beauty industry professionals in the salon environment.
Farouk Systems, Inc., the first in the industry to use ceramic ionic
technology, wants you to be satisfied with your appliance purchase
and makes the following two (2) year limited warranty for Farouk
Systems, Inc. appliances purchased through a professional salon or
professional salon chain.
LIMITED TWO-YEAR WARRANTY
What Does This Warranty Cover? Any malfunction or defect
caused by faulty materials or workmanship for any Farouk Systems,
Inc. appliance that was purchased through a professional salon or
professional salon chain.
How Long Does The Warranty Last? Two (2) years from the date
of purchase.
Limitations. (A) THE DURATION OF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF
MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, GOOD
AND WORKMANLIKE PERFORMANCE OF SERVICE, OR OTHERWISE,
ON THIS PRODUCT ARE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE EXPRESS
WARRANTY SET FORTH ABOVE WHICH IS TWO (2) YEARS FROM THE
DATE OF PURCHASE. (B) FAROUK SYSTEMS, INC. SHALL NOT BE
LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES THAT
ARISE OUT OF THE INSTALLATION, USE, OR OPERATION OF ITS
APPLIANCES OR OUT OF THE BREACH OF ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED
WARRANTY. (C) APPLIANCES PURCHASED FROM ANY OUTLET OTHER
THAN A PROFESSIONAL SALON OR PROFESSIONAL SALON CHAIN ARE
NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY. (D) ANY ALTERATION OR REMOVAL
OF THE SERIAL NUMBER OR OTHER IDENTIFYING MARKS ON THE
APPLIANCE OR PACKAGING WILL VOID THIS WARRANTY. (E) ANY USE
OF THE APPLIANCE NOT IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE OWNER’S MANUAL
WILL VOID THIS WARRANTY.

What Will Farouk Do? Farouk Systems, Inc. will replace your
appliance at no charge other than a $15.00 return shipping and
handling fee. The replacement appliance is warranted for the
remainder of the original two (2) year warranty period. If the tool
sent in is no longer available, it will be replaced with a comparable
tool.
What Does This Warranty Not Cover? This warranty does not
cover any steel parts; plastic parts; flex cord; damages caused by
negligence, misuse, tampering, alteration, failure to follow safety,
operation or maintenance instructions; appliances purchased
through any internet auction site or from any other outlet that is
not an authorized reseller; or alteration or removal of the model
number or other identifying marks on the appliance or the
packaging. Further, this warranty does not cover normal wear and
tear.
How to make a warranty claim.
SAVE YOUR ORIGINAL RECEIPT. Then Either:
(A) Return the appliance with the original receipt to the professional
salon or professional salon chain from which it was purchased
where the appliance may be exchanged at no charge, depending
on the reseller’s exchange policy (terms and conditions may vary
depending on store’s exchange policy);
or
(B) Contact Farouk Systems, Inc. Customer Service at (800) 237-
9175 if you have any questions regarding your tool. Send your tool,
along with any completed warranty card that accompanied the tool at
time of purchase, the original receipt indicating the location and date
of purchase and a check or money order made payable to Farouk
Systems, Inc. for $15 to cover shipping and handling, to the following
address (United States Only: California residents are not required to
send payment.):

We strongly recommend tracking your shipment using UPS, Federal
Express or Registered Mail and keeping the tracking number for
your records. You are responsible for the shipping charges to send
your appliance to Farouk Systems, Inc. Farouk Systems, Inc. is
not responsible for lost or stolen items or tools that are lost during
shipping to Farouk Systems, Inc.
How Does State Law Apply? This warranty gives you specific legal
rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to
state.
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty
lasts, so the above limitation of implied warranties may not apply to
you.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or
consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not
apply to you.

DESCRIPTIONS AVERTISSEMENT: Pour réduire le risque de brûlures,
d’électrocution, d’incendie ou de blessure:
1. Cet appareil n’est pas muni de la fonction arrêt automatique. Débrancher le
fer lorsqu’il n’est pas en fonction. Laisser refroidir et ranger dans un endroit
sec et sécuritaire.
2. Ce fer est chaud lors de son utilisation. Ne laissez pas les yeux ou la
peau entré en contact avec les surfaces chauffées.
3. Ne pas déposer le fer tant qu’il est chaud directement sur une surface

LES INSTRUCTION D’OPERATION DE L’APPAREIL
Cet appariel est pour 110-240V, 50/60HZ, 50W
Lorsque vous branchez l’appareil sur la prise avant de l’utiliser, il
faut savoir que l’appareil possède une fiche polarisée (une lame est
plus large que l’autre). Cette caractéristique de sécurité ne permet
d’insérer cette fiche dans une prise polarisée que dans un sens. Si
la fiche n’entre pas complètement dans la prise, inversez la fiche. Si
elle ne rentre toujours pas, contactez un électricien qualifié. Ne pas
essayer de contourner ce dispositif de sécurité.
MODE D’EMPLOI
1. Brancher l’appareil à la source d’alimentation
électrique appropriée.
2. Mettre le fer en marche en appuyant sur le bouton
d’alimentation ON
3. Éteindre le fer en appuyant sur le bouton d’alimentation OFF
4. Débrancher le fer du mur; ne pas tirer sur le fil.

MAINTENANCE
Virtuellement, Votre appareil n’a pas besoin de maintenance. Il n’a
pas besoin de lubrification. Juste nettoyez les surfaces chauffées. Si
le nettoyage devient nécessaire, déconnectez l’appareil de la source
électrique et nettoyez l’extérieur de l’appareil avec un tissu humide.
Si le fil est mal tourné, retournez le avant l’usage.
L’utilisation des adaptateurs N’EST PAS POSSIBLE.
Si vous rencontrez des problèmes de mal fonctionnement, n’essayez
pas vous-même de réparer l’appareil. Appelez le centre de Customer
Service. (Voyez la section « GARANTIE LIMITÉE »).
INSTRUCTION DE SOUDAGE, SERVICE DE
DOUBLE—ISOLATION DE L’APPAREIL
Dans les appareils à double–isolations, deux systèmes d’isolation
sont fournis au lieu du soudage. Le non soudage veut dire qu’il est
fourni dans un appareil à double-isolation, et aucun moyen ne doit

INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN
Éste aparato utiliza corriente a: 110-240V, 50/60HZ, 50W
Enchufe el aparato en la toma de corriente antes de su uso. Este
aparato tiene un enchufe polarizado (un enchufe es mas ancho
que el otro). Como una característica de seguridad este enchufe
encajara en un tomacorriente de una sola forma. Si el enchufe no
encaja completamente en el tomacorriente, invierta el enchufe. Si
aun así no encaja, contacte a un electricista calificado. No intente
vencer esta característica de seguridad.
INSTRUCCIONES DE USO
1. Enchufe el dispositivo en la fuente de alimentación correcta.
2. Encienda la tenaza rizadora colocando el botón en la posición
ON (encendido).
3. Apague la tenaza rizadora colocando el botón en la posición
OFF (apagado).
4. Desenchufe la tenaza rizadora del tomacorriente sin
jalar del cable.
