MAINTENANCE
The machine does not require particular maintenance operations.
The technical solutions, the materials used and the protective paint have been
designed to reduce maintenance work.
However, it is recommended to perform a set of operations which, divided between
Routine Maintenance and Extraordinary Maintenance, aim at ensuring the safety,
reliability and efficiency of the machine over time.
The operations described in this paragraph are the only ones that can
be performed by the operator or a person authorised by him/her.
The operations not included in this paragraph should be considered
extraordinary and must be carried out by qualified personnel.
To be performed daily at the end of the work shift:
- Clean the surface and bearing arms.
- Check the condition of the power cable and make sure there are no cuts or
scratches.
- Check the reliability of the protection devices of the electrical system used.
Cleaning and routine maintenance operations must be carried out by
authorised personnel in accordance with the instructions given.
All cleaning and maintenance operations must be performed with the
machine in the safest condition possible.
Each month perform the following checks:
1 - Transmission belts.
Press on one side of the belt to check if it bends 5 mm at most; if it bends more
than this, adjust the tension by moving the motor plate.
Check that it is not fraying, even slightly; if it is, replace it.
2 - Control cable.
Inspect the control cable, making sure that it is not breaking or corroded; if it is,
replace it.
3 - Position of the micro switches (Fig. 4).
The control micro switch must be at the centre of the cam;
a displacement within 3 mm of this position is due to settlements,
so the clamp must be adjusted to replace it in the exact position.

2 column
electro-mechanical lift
Mod. Z41/3S
21
4 - Nuts
Check that the space between the teeth
of the lead nut and the nut screw
is not more than 1,5 mm
. Perform this check with the
feeler gauge (Ref. A - Fig.8) that you will find
inside the electric control unit.
In the opposite case replace the load nut
making sure that the distance
between the two nuts
is 80-85 mm (Fig.8)
Every 3 months perform the following checks:
- Check the safety of the electrical system: insulation of cables, operation of the
differential protection device, continuity of protection conductor.
a. Check the locks of the various mechanical components.
GREASING (EVERY 3 MONTHS)
Lubricate the screw with SAE90 oil.
Using the dedicated pump, inject grease into the 2
grease nozzles located on the 2 lower supports of the
screw.
Using the dedicated pump, lubricate the screw inside
the column; to access it, simply unscrew the screws
that secure the hexagonal door on the side of each
cover.
For the correct operation of the machine, it is
good practice to check that the trolley slides
smoothly on the column. To keep this sliding
movement smooth, lubricate the column every 3
months for its ENTIRE length in correspondence
with the runners on the trolley, as indicated by
the dotted line of figure 7.
