1. General information
1.1. Purpose
This manual provides the necessary information for the correct use of Speaker Timer (art. 154-01, art.
154-04), also indicated “ST” in this document. We suggest you keep the manual for the duration of the
product’s life.
1.2. Product description
ST is the perfect solution for programming, timing and displaying the time (minutes:seconds) of a
speech. It is recommended especially for meeting halls, conferences and wherever a moderator has to
limit the duration of speeches during a discussion.
It can be managed with the local keypad or with an infrared remote control.
It is available in the wall mount version (art.154-01) or table top version (art.154-04).
1.3. Symbols used in the manual
Portions of the text which are of particular importance in regards to the safety or proper use of the
product are indicated by the following symbols.

1.5. Safety warning
• It is absolutely mandatory that the installation of the product and the electrical system
are designed and implemented by qualied technicians, in compliance with regulations in
effect in the country where installation takes place.
• Before carrying out any conguration or maintenance operation, disconnect the power
supply from the product.
• The opening of the case and the conguration of the product must be carried out only by
a qualied technician.
• Do not expose the product to heat sources, to water or to rain.
• Do not crush, pull, bend, excessively twist or modify the power supply cable. Also, do not
use the power cable if it has been damaged.
1.6. Guarantee
The guarantee is valid for two years starting from the date of purchase and includes free
repair for any defects in materials or construction. The guarantee does not include shipping
costs. Batteries are not included in the warranty. More information on guarantee and post-

1.7. Disposal of product
Please dispose of your product in a manner most compatible with the environment and in accordance
with federal or state laws, reusing parts and recycling components and materials when possible.
When this crossed-out waste bin symbol is attached to a product it signies the product
should be disposed of in a separate container from other waste.
The sorted waste collection of the present device is organized and managed by the
manufacturer. Users who wish to dispose of their present device should contact the
manufacturer and follow the procedure indicated for separate waste collection.

Ensuring proper sorted waste collection, in accordance with environmental standards, for the
disposal of further devices helps to protect the environment and the health of persons from
any damaging effects. It also favors the reuse and recycling of materials.
Administrative sanctions, in accordance with regulations in effect, will be applied for any
improper or abusive disposal of the product on part of the holder.
1.8. Compliance with EU regulations
The product meets the essential requirements of the Electromagnetic Compatibility and Safety for
electronic devices, in accordance with European directives:
• 2014/30/EU of 26 February 2014,
• 2014/35/EU of 26 February 2014,
• 2011/65/EU of 8 June 2011.
2. Installation
Since every ST is provided with a power supply cable and plug, we suggest that a power cord
socket controlled by an easily accessible switch be placed nearby.
Before installing the ST on the wall (art.154-01), we suggest rst running a preliminary test
by temporarily connecting the device to the mains power supply. Fix ST to the wall with two
screws or wall anchors.
Before plugging in the device, make sure that the data on the power supply rating plate is
compatible with that of the mains power supply.
3. Keypad
The local and remote control keypad is provided with the following keys.

4. Operation
ST allows programming and storing of up to 9 “speaking times”, as well as timing and displaying the
activated speaking time (Fig. 4.1); it also indicates the counting events by means of sounds and signal
lights.

4.1. What a speaking time is
A “speaking time” consists of (Fig. 4.2):
1. the total time assigned for the speech;
2. the time interval to warn the speaker that the available time is about to expire;
3. the behavior at the end of the total time.

4.2. Selecting, starting and stopping a speaking time
To select a “speaking time”:
• press the [TIMER] key several times until the desired “speaking time” is displayed (“t1”,
“t2”, …, “t9”), and
• within 3 seconds press [STOP]1.
Press [START] and [STOP] to start and stop timing. You can program timing forward or backward.
4.3. Modifying the timer
With the timer stopped: press [#] and then change its value with [+] and [-] (keeping them pressed, the
change is rapid, only for the local keypad). At the end, press [#] again to conrm the changes or press
the other keys to delete the changes.
4.4. Behavior when the speaking time expires
You can program the following operations:
(0) the timer stops; press [STOP] to recharge it and switch off the red light;
(1) the timer stops and is automatically recharged; press [STOP] to switch off the red light;
(2) the timer continues timing, an acoustic signal is emitted after 10 seconds and the red
light starts blinking; press[STOP] to switch off the acoustic signal and recharge the
chronometer.
5. Programming
You can set the specic parameters of each of the nine (9) “speaking times” and the general
parameters valid for all the “speaking times”. Use the arrow keys [<] and [>] to scroll the parameters;
you can modify the values of these parameters with the keys [+] and [-] (on the local keypad, keep
them pressed to rapidly change the values).
5.1. General parameters
To access the programming functions press [PROG]. Press [PROG] or [ON-OFF] again to quit the
programming mode.

5.2. Specic parameters
To access programming functions:
• press [TIMER] several times until the desired “speaking time” is displayed (“t1”, “t2”, …,
“t9”), and then
• press [PROG] within 3 seconds.

Press [PROG] or [ON-OFF] again to quit the programming mode.
5.3. Programming example
You wish to program the third “speaking time” in the following way:
• backward count;
• sound with maximum volume;
• maximum duration of the speech 15 minutes;
• warning for time available before expiry at 5 minutes and 30 seconds;
• counting continuing after expiry.
Proceed as follows:
general parameters
1. Press [PROG] to access the general parameters setup. ST displays the parameter “H1”
(counting mode) and its current value: use [+] and [-] to set the parameter to “dn”.
2. Use the arrow key [>] to scroll the parameters up to “H3” (volume) and set it to “3”.
3. Exit setup with [PROG].

4. Press [TIMER] various times until “t3” is displayed; then press [PROG] to access the
“speaking time” specic parameters.
5. ST displays the total time (green light): take the value to “15:00”, then pass to the
following parameter.
6. Set the warning time (yellow light) to “ 5:30” and then set the mode (red light) to “2”.
7. Exit the setup with [PROG].

6. Maintenance
The product does not require special maintenance.
6.1. Replacement of the remote control battery
1. Unscrew the two back screws to open the remote control case.
2. Replace the exhausted battery with a new one and make sure that the polarities match.
3. Screw the case back on. Pay attention not to damage the connection wires.
Exhausted batteries are considered special wastes. Do not dispose of batteries in household
waste but instead dispose of them in specic waste collection centers.
6.2. Cleaning the front piece
Use a very soft clean cloth dampened with alcohol. Do not use aggressive cleaning products.

1. Generalità
1.1. Scopo del manuale
Il presente manuale fornisce le indicazioni necessarie per un corretto utilizzo del prodotto Speaker
Timer (art.154-01, art.154-04), di seguito denominato “ST”. Vi consigliamo di custodire il manuale per
tutta la vita del prodotto.
1.2. Descrizione del prodotto
ST è ideale per programmare, cronometrare e visualizzare il tempo di intervento degli oratori
(minuti:secondi); è indicato soprattutto per le sale riunioni, i congressi e ovunque un moderatore
debba limitare le durate dei discorsi in una discussione.
Potete gestirlo in locale, tramite tastiera a membrana, oppure a distanza, con telecomando ad
infrarossi.
È disponibile nella versione da parete (art.154-01) e da tavolo (art.154-04).

• Prima di eseguire qualsiasi operazione di congurazione o manutenzione, scollegare
l’alimentazione dal prodotto.
• L’apertura dell’involucro e la congurazione del prodotto deve essere fatta solo da un
tecnico qualicato.
• Non esponete il prodotto a fonti di calore eccessive, all’acqua o alla pioggia.
• Non schiacciate, tirate, piegate, attorcigliate eccessivamente o modicate il cavo di
alimentazione, inoltre non usatelo se risulta danneggiato.
1.6. Garanzia
La garanzia è di 2 anni dalla data del documento di acquisto e comprende la riparazione
gratuita per difetti di materiali o di costruzione; non comprende le spese di trasporto. Le
batterie non sono incluse nella garanzia.

1.7. Smaltimento del prodotto
Si raccomanda di smaltire il prodotto alla ne della sua vita utile in modo ambientalmente
compatibile, riusando parti dello stesso e riciclandone componenti e materiali.
Il simbolo del cassonetto barrato riportato sull’apparecchio o sulla confezione indica che
il prodotto alla ne della propria vita utile deve essere raccolto separatamente dagli altri
riuti. La raccolta differenziata della presente apparecchiatura giunta a ne vita è organizzata
e gestita dal produttore. L’utente che vorrà disfarsi della presente apparecchiatura dovrà
quindi contattare il produttore e seguire il sistema che questo ha adottato per consentirne la

raccolta separata. L’adeguata raccolta differenziata per l’avvio successivo dell’apparecchiatura

il reimpiego e/o riciclo dei materiali di cui è composta l’apparecchiatura. Lo smaltimento
abusivo del prodotto da parte del detentore comporta l’applicazione delle sanzioni
amministrative previste dalla normativa vigente.
1.8. Conformità alle normative Europee
Il prodotto soddisfa i requisiti essenziali della Compatibilità elettromagnetica e della Sicurezza
applicabili alle apparecchiature elettroniche, come previsto dalle direttive europee:

2. Installazione
Poiché ogni ST viene fornito di un cavo di alimentazione con spina, consigliamo di predisporre
nelle vicinanze una presa di alimentazione comandata da un interruttore facilmente
accessibile.
Prima di procedere al ssaggio di ST alla parete (art.154-01), consigliamo di eseguire
una prova di funzionamento preliminare collegandolo provvisoriamente alla rete di
alimentazione. Fissare ST mediante due viti o tasselli.
Prima di inserire la spina ad una presa di corrente, controllare che i dati di targa
dell’alimentazione siano compatibili con quelli della rete di distribuzione elettrica.
3. Tastiera
La tastiera locale e del telecomando è composta dai seguenti tasti.

4. Funzionamento
ST vi consente di programmare e memorizzare no a 9 “tempi di parola” per gli oratori, cronometrare
e visualizzare quello attivato (Fig. 4.1), segnalarne gli eventi di conteggio con l’emissione di suoni e
l’accensione di luci semaforiche.

4.1. Cos’è un tempo di parola
Un “tempo di parola” è formato da (Fig. 4.2):
1. il tempo totale assegnato all’intervento;
2. l’intervallo di tempo per avvisare l’oratore che il tempo disponibile sta per scadere;
3. il comportamento al termine del tempo totale.

4.2. Selezione, avvio e arresto di un tempo di parola
Per selezionare un “tempo di parola”:
• premete più volte il tasto [TIMER] no a visualizzare il “tempo di parola” voluto (“t1”, “t2”,
…, “t9”);
• entro 3 secondi premete [STOP]1.
Con i tasti [START] e [STOP] avviate e fermate il conteggio. Potete programmare il conteggio del
cronometro in avanti o a ritroso.
4.3. Modica del cronometro
A cronometro fermo: premete il tasto [#] e quindi con i tasti [+] e [-] cambiatene il valore (tenendoli
premuti il cambiamento avviene velocemente, solo per la tastiera locale). Alla ne premete ancora [#]
per confermare le modiche, gli altri tasti per cancellarle.
4.4. Comportamento allo scadere del tempo di parola
Potete programmare i seguenti funzionamenti:
(0) il cronometro si ferma, premete [STOP] per ricaricarlo e spegnere la luce rossa;
(1) il cronometro si ferma ed è ricaricato automaticamente, premete [STOP] per spegnere la
luce rossa;
(2) il cronometro prosegue, dopo 10 secondi viene emessa una segnalazione acustica e
la luce rossa inizia a lampeggiare; premete [STOP] per spegnere tale segnalazione e
ricaricare il cronometro.
5. Programmazione
Potete impostare i parametri specici di ognuno dei 9 “programmi di allenamento” ed i parametri
generali, validi per tutti questi. I tasti [<] e [>] vi permettono di scorrere lungo i parametri; potete
modicarne il valore con i tasti [+] e [-] (sulla tastiera locale, tenendoli premuti il cambiamento
avviene velocemente).
5.1. Parametri generali
Per accedere alla programmazione premete [PROG]; viene visualizzato l’identicativo ed il valore del
parametro.

5.2. Parametri specici
Per accedere alla programmazione:
• premete più volte il tasto [TIMER] no a visualizzare il “tempo di parola” voluto (“t1”, “t2”,
…, “t9”);

Ogni parametro è identicato dall’accensione di una luce.

Premete ancora [PROG] oppure [ON-OFF] per uscire dalla programmazione.
5.3. Esempio di programmazione
Volete denire il terzo “tempo di parola” nel seguente modo:
• conteggio a ritroso;
• suono con volume massimo;
• durata massima dell’intervento di 15 minuti;
• avviso di esaurimento del tempo disponibile a 5 minuti e 30 secondi;
• conteggio che prosegue dopo lo scadere.
Procedete nel seguente modo:

1. Premete [PROG] per accedere alla programmazione dei parametri generali. ST visualizza il
parametro “H1” (modo conteggio) ed il suo valore attuale: mediante i tasti [+] e [-] portate
il parametro a “dn”.
2. Con il tasto [>] scorrete i parametri no ad arrivare ad “H3” (volume) ed impostatelo a “3”.
3. Uscite dalla programmazione con [PROG].

4. Premete più volte il tasto [TIMER] no a visualizzare “t3”, poi premete [PROG] per
accedere ai parametri specici del “tempo di parola”.
5. ST visualizza il tempo totale (luce verde): portatelo al valore “15:00”, quindi passate al
parametro successivo.
6. Impostate il tempo di avviso (luce gialla) a “5:30” e successivamente la modalità (luce
rossa) a “2”.
7. Uscite dalla programmazione con [PROG].

6. Manutenzione
Il prodotto non richiede particolare manutenzione.
6.1. Sostituzione della batteria del telecomando
1. Aprite il contenitore del telecomando, svitando le due viti sul retro.
2. Sostituite la batteria esaurita con una nuova, rispettandone la polarità dei contatti.
3. Chiudete il contenitore con le viti, facendo attenzione a non rovinare i li di collegamento.
Le batterie esaurite sono considerate riuti speciali. Si raccomanda di non gettarle nei riuti
domestici, ma di consegnarle ai centri di raccolta
6.2. Pulizia del frontale
Usate un panno morbidissimo inumidito di alcool. Non usate detergenti aggressivi.

1.1. Objetivo del manual
Este manual contiene todas las indicaciones necesarias para utilizar correctamente el Speaker Timer
(art.154-01, art.154-04), en adelante “ST”. Recomendamos guardar el manual durante toda la vida útil
del producto.
1.2. Descripción del producto
ST es ideal para programar, temporizar y ver el tiempo de intervención de los oradores
(minutos:segundos). Está indicado especialmente para salas de reuniones, congresos y cualquier lugar
donde haya un moderador que tenga que monitorizar el tiempo de intervención de un orador.
Puede ser utilizado en modo local, mediante su teclado de membrana, o bien a distancia, con un
mando a infrarrojos. Está disponible en versión de pared (art.154-01) y de sobremesa (art.154-04).
