Bedienungsanleitung und technische Information
Wir bedanken uns für den Kauf dieses hochwertigen Produktes. Zum optimalen Einsatz und zur
sicheren Verwendung lese bitte diese Anleitung vor Inbetriebnahme. Bewahre sie als Referenz für
zukünftige Fragen auf. Die Anleitung ist auch als PDF-Datei erhältlich.
Funktionen & Einsatzzweck:
• HDMI-Matrix-Switch zum Betrieb von bis zu 4 HDMI-Quellen an 2 HDMI-Senken wie Fernseher
und Videoprojektor (bei Anschluss einer Soundbar kannst du 3 HDMI-Quellen direkt
verbinden)
• Ein HDMI-Eingang davon unterstützt eARC (enhanced Audio Return Channel) und du kannst
den HDMI-eARC Anschluss einer Soundbar anschließen (abwärtskompatibel zu ARC)
• EDID-Management
• Unterstützt Ultra-HD bis zu 4K 60Hz sowie HDR10, HDR10+, HLG-HDR und Dolby Vision
Hinweise:
Beachte bitte bei Änderungen der EDID-Einstellungen oder Verkabelung am Switch, dass ein
Neustart der angeschlossenen Zuspieler notwendig sein könnte. Falls du nicht die gewünschte
Ausgabe bzw. Darstellung erzielst, gehe bitte wie folgt vor:
• Schalte am Switch den gewünschten EDID-Modus ein und wähle die gewünschte HDMI-Quelle
aus. Schalte Displays / Fernseher ein.
• Ziehe den Netzstecker des Zuspielers für ein paar Sekunden und stecke ihn dann wieder ein.
Starte dann die HDMI-Quelle.
EDID
Die unterstützten Audio- und Videoformate handeln die Geräte untereinander aus. Das kannst
du über die EDID-Steuerung beeinflussen (EDID = Extended Display Identification Data, damit
identifiziert sich eine HDMI-Senke gegenüber der HDMI-Quelle). Dazu sind 3 Modi auswählbar. Am
häufigsten wird der Modus COPY verwendet, bei dem Display A priorisiert wird.

AUTO
Im AUTO-EDID-Modus werden die Eigenschaften der beiden Displays verglichen. Es wird dann das
bestmögliche Format geliefert, welches beide Displays unterstützen. In diesem Modus wird also
auf das schwächere Display Rücksicht genommen. Beide Display zeigen ein Bild, aber das bessere
Display vielleicht nicht das bestmögliche.
Beispiel: Bei Anschluss an ein 4K TV und einen Full-HD-Beamer liefern die Quellen im AUTO-Modus
ein Full-HD Videosignal
COPY
Im COPY-EDID-Modus liefern die Zuspieler ein für Display A optimiertes Signal. Falls das Display B
schwächer ist und weniger Formate unterstützt, zeigt es vielleicht kein Bild. Bei Bedarf kannst du
am Player das Videoformat reduzieren.
Beispiel 1: Ist auf Ausgang A ein 4K TV und auf Ausgang B ein Full-HD-Beamer, liefert ein 4K Zu-
spieler ein 4K Bildsignal. Der Beamer zeigt also kein Signal, wenn er 4K nicht verarbeiten kann.
Lösung: Fallweise am Player die Ausgabe auf Full-HD reduzieren.
Beispiel 2: Ist auf Ausgang A ein 4K TV mit Dolby Vision und auf Ausgang B ein 4K Beamer (ohne
Dolby Vision), liefert ein 4K Zuspieler ein 4K Bildsignal mit Dolby Vision. Der Beamer zeigt dann
bei Dolby Vision Inhalten die Farben falsch an. Lösung: Statt Dolby Vision am Zuspieler HDR10
einstellen.
STD
Im STD-EDID-Modus generiert der HDMI-Switch eine EDID-Information, womit den Zuspielern die
Unterstützung von 4K 60Hz HDR10 signalisiert wird.
Beispiel: Egal welche tatsächliche Auflösung die Displays haben, es kann 4K abgespielt (aber
vielleicht nicht angezeigt) werden. Es ist auch möglich, die Videoeigenschaften an den Zuspielern
nach Wunsch einzustellen.
Ausgang A mit ARC/eARC Unterstützung
Dieser Ausgang unterstützt den Audiorückkanal eines Fernsehers. Dadurch kann der Ton vom
TV-Empfangsteil oder TV-Apps über die Soundbar abgespielt werden. Zur Wiedergabe des TV-Tons
bitte Eingang 1 am HDMI-Switch über die Fernbedienung oder Taste auswählen.
Installation und Betrieb
1. Schließe den HDMI-eARC Anschluss deiner Soundbar an HDMI-Input 1 an. Schließe 1–3
HDMI-Signalquellen (z.B. Blu-ray-Player) an die HDMI-Inputs 2–4 an.
2. Verbinde den HDMI Output A mit dem HDMI-ARC oder HDMI-eARC Anschluss deines
Fernsehers. Falls kein Fernseher angeschlossen werden soll, an den HDMI-Eingang deines
Monitors oder Videoprojektors.

Fernbedienung
Die mitgelieferte Infrarot-Fernbedienung steuert alle Funktionen. Es ist eine unabhängige Wieder-
gabe über die beiden Displays möglich. Beispiel: Display A zeigt Zuspieler 2, Display B zeigt zeit-
gleich Zuspieler 3.
1. Schaltet den HDMI-Switch ein oder auf Standby
2. Schaltet die eARC Funktion am Switch ein und aus
Wenn eingeschaltet, liefert die Soundbar den für Display
A ausgewählten Ton. Display A muss dazu nicht einge-
schaltet sein.
3. Wähle hier den Zuspieler aus, den Display A wieder-
geben soll. Wähle „1“ bei eingeschalteter eARC-Funktion,
um den internen TV-Ton über die Soundbar abzuspielen.
4. Wähle hier den Zuspieler aus, den Display B wiederge-
ben soll. Mit den Tasten ⏴⏵ springst du zum vorherigen
oder nächsten HDMI-Eingang.
3. Verbinde den HDMI-Output B mit einem HDMI-Eingang deines zweiten Displays, z.B. Monitor,
Videoprojektor oder zweitem TV.
4. Verbinde das Netzteil mit dem HDMI-Switch und stecke es in eine Steckdose. Schalte dann
den Fernseher / Videoprojektor und die Soundbar ein, anschließend den Switch. Schalte am
Switch eARC ein. Starte dann eine HDMI-Quelle.
5. Aktiviere am Fernseher an Ausgang A die eARC/ARC-Funktion, falls noch nicht aktiv.
Achtung: Achte beim Ein- und Ausstecken der HDMI Kabel darauf, dass die Steckerkontakte nicht
verschmutzt oder beschädigt werden. Nehme Anschlüsse stromlos vor und schalte die Geräte erst
nach dem Verbinden ein. Achte bitte auch auf eine gute Qualität der HDMI-Kabel - insbesondere
bei 4k Übertragung. Wir empfehlen maximal 5 m Kabellänge an den Eingängen und maximal 3 m
an den Ausgängen bei 4k HDR. Für längere Strecken können HDMI-Glasfaser-Hybridkabel verwen-
det werden.
Automatisches Ein/-Aus-/Umschalten bzw. HDMI-CEC-Steuerung
Diese Funktionen sind in einem Aufbau mit 2 Displays und HDMI-ARC generell NICHT möglich.
Die Umschaltung zwischen den verschiedenen Zuspielern erfolgt über die Fernbedienung des
VAX04201 oder der Taste an der Gerätefront.

Sicherheitshinweise und Recycling
• Bitte decke das Gehäuse oder Netzteil nicht ab und baue das Gerät nicht ein, um eine
Überhitzung zu vermeiden.
• Von Wärmequellen, Feuer, Wasser und Feuchtigkeit fernhalten.
• Stelle keine schweren Gegenstände auf das Gerät oder die Anschlusskabel.
• Öffne oder bohre keine Löcher in das Gehäuse.
• Verwende nur das mitgelieferte Netzteil oder achte beim Austausch auf identische
Leistungsdaten.
• Reinige die Geräteoberfläche nur mit einem weichen, trockenen Tuch. Benutze dafür bitte
kein scharfes Reinigungsmittel, Benzin oder Ähnliches.
• Bei längerem Nicht-Gebrauch oder Fehlfunktion ziehe bitte den Netzstecker.
Service
Eine Überprüfung des Gerätes durch qualifiziertes Fachpersonal ist in folgenden Fällen nötig.
• Gegenstände oder Flüssigkeiten sind in das Gerät eingedrungen.
• Das Gerät arbeitet nicht normal oder die Leistung hat sich verändert.
• Das Gerät wurde fallen gelassen oder das Gehäuse ist beschädigt.
Ziehe dann den Netzstecker und betreibe das Gerät nicht weiter! Versuche nicht, das Gerät selbst
zu reparieren oder zu öffnen. Wende dich an geschultes Fachpersonal oder kontaktiere den Ver-
käufer oder den FeinTech Service, z.B. per E-Mail an [e-mail]

Altgeräte sind kein wertloser Abfall. Durch umweltgerechte Entsorgung können wertvolle Rohstoffe

Instruction manual and technical information
Thank you for purchasing this high quality product. For optimal use and safe operation, please
read these instructions before use. Keep it as a reference for future reference. The manual is also
available as a PDF file.
Features & Intended Use:
• HDMI matrix switch to operate up to 4 HDMI sources to 2 HDMI sinks such as TV and video
projector (if you connect a soundbar, you can connect 3 HDMI sources directly).
• One HDMI input supports eARC (enhanced Audio Return Channel) and you can connect the
HDMI-eARC connector of a soundbar (backward compatible with ARC)
• EDID management
• Supports Ultra-HD up to 4K 60Hz as well as HDR10, HDR10+, HLG-HDR and Dolby Vision
Notes:
Please note that if you change the EDID settings or wiring on the switch, it may be necessary to
reboot the connected players. If you do not achieve the desired output or display, please proceed
as follows:
• Switch on the desired EDID mode on the switch and select the desired HDMI source. Switch
on the displays / television.
• Unplug the power plug of the external player for a few seconds and then plug it in again. Then
start the HDMI source.
EDID
The supported audio and video formats are negotiated between the devices. You can influence this
via the EDID control (EDID = Extended Display Identification Data, with which an HDMI sink identi-
fies itself to the HDMI source). Three modes can be selected for this purpose. The most frequently
used mode is COPY, in which display A is prioritised.

AUTO
In AUTO EDID mode, the properties of the two displays are compared. The best possible format
that both displays support is then delivered. In this mode, the weaker display is taken into ac-
count. Both displays show a picture, but the better display may not show the best possible picture.
Example: When connected to a 4K TV and a Full HD projector, in AUTO the sources deliver a Full HD
video signal. If both displays support 4K, it will be 4K video.
COPY
In COPY-EDID mode, the sources deliver a signal optimised for display A. If Display B is weaker and
supports fewer formats, it may not show a picture. If necessary, you can reduce the video format
on the player.
Example 1: If a 4K TV is connected to output A and a Full HD projector is connected to output B, a
4K input player delivers a 4K picture signal. The Full-HD projector therefore shows no signal, be-
cause it cannot process 4K. Solution: If necessary, reduce the output on the player to Full HD.
Example 2: If a 4K TV with Dolby Vision is connected to output A and a 4K projector (without Dolby
Vision) is connected to output B, a 4K input player delivers a 4K picture signal with Dolby Vision.
The video projector then displays the colours incorrectly for Dolby Vision content. Solution: Instead
of Dolby Vision, set HDR10 on the source.
STD
In STD EDID mode, the HDMI switch generates an EDID information, which signals the support of
4K 60Hz HDR10 to the input players.
Example: No matter what the actual resolutions of the displays really are, 4K can be played (but
perhaps not displayed). You can set the video properties on the players as desired.
Output A with ARC/eARC support
This output supports the audio return channel of a TV. This means that the sound from the internal
TV receiver or TV apps can be played back via the Soundbar. To play the TV sound, please select
input 1 on the HDMI switch via the remote control or button.
Installation and operation
• Connect the HDMI-eARC connector of your Soundbar to HDMI Input 1. Connect 1–3 HDMI
signal sources (e.g. Blu-ray player) to HDMI Inputs 2–4.
• Connect HDMI output A to the HDMI-ARC or HDMI-eARC connection of your TV. If no TV is to
be connected, connect to the HDMI input of your monitor or video projector.
• Connect the HDMI output B to an HDMI input of your second display, e.g. monitor, video pro-
jector or second TV.

• Connect the power supply unit to the HDMI switch and plug it into a power socket. Then
switch on the TV/video projector and the soundbar, then the switch. Switch on eARC on the
switch. Then start an HDMI source.
• Activate the eARC/ARC function on output A of the TV if it is not already active.
Caution: When plugging and unplugging the HDMI cables, make sure that the connector contacts
are not dirty or damaged. Make connections without power and switch on the units only after they
have been connected. Please also ensure that the HDMI cables are of good quality - especially for
4k transmission. We recommend a maximum of 5 m cable length at the inputs and a maximum of
3 m at the outputs for 4k HDR. HDMI fibre optic hybrid cables can be used for longer distances.
Automatic on/off/switching or HDMI CEC control.
These functions are generally NOT possible in a setup with 2 displays and HDMI-ARC. Switching
between the different feed players is done via the remote control of the VAX04201 or the button on
the front of the unit.
Remote control
The supplied infrared remote control controls all functions. Independent playback is possible via
the two displays. Example: Display A shows player 2, display B shows player 3 at the same time.
1. Switches the HDMI switch on or to standby.
2. Switches the eARC function on the switch on and off
When switched on, the sound bar delivers the sound
selected for Display A. Display A does not have to be
switched on for this. Display A does not have to be
switched on.
3. Select the source you want Display A to play back. If
the eARC function is switched on, select „1“ to play the
internal TV sound via the sound bar.
4. Select the external player here that you want to play
back on Display B. Use the⏴⏵ buttons to jump to the
previous or next HDMI input.

Safety
• Please do not cover the housing or power supply, or install the device to avoid overheating.
• Keep away from fire, heat sources, water and moisture.
• Do not place heavy objects on the device or the connection cables.
• Do not open or drill holes in the housing.
• Use only the supplied power adaptor or ensure identical performance data when replacing.
• Use only a soft, dry cloth to clean the surface of the unit. Please do not use aggressive clean-
ing agents, gasoline or the like.
• If the unit will not be used for a longer period of time, please unplug it from the mains.
Service
The device must be inspected by qualified personnel in the following cases.
• Objects or liquids have penetrated into the device.
• The unit does not operate normally or its performance has changed.
• The device has been dropped or the housing is damaged.
In these cases disconnect the mains plug and do not continue to operate the device! Do not
attempt to repair or open the unit yourself. Contact a trained technician or contact the seller or
FeinTech Service via ser[email protected].

Disposal of the device after use
Old appliances are not worthless waste. Valuable raw materials can be recovered through environ-
mentally sound disposal. At the end of its service life, this product must not be disposed of with

Caractéristiques et utilisation prévue :
• Matrice de commutation HDMI permettant de faire fonctionner jusqu’à 4 sources HDMI vers
2 puits HDMI tels que TV et vidéoprojecteur (si vous connectez une barre de son, vous pou-
vez connecter 3 sources HDMI directement).
• Une entrée HDMI prend en charge l’eARC (enhanced Audio Return Channel) et vous pouvez
connecter le connecteur HDMI-eARC d’une barre de son (rétrocompatible avec ARC).
• Gestion de l’EDID
• Supporte l’Ultra-HD jusqu’à 4K 60Hz ainsi que HDR10, HDR10+, HLG-HDR et Dolby Vision.
Notes:
Veuillez noter que si vous modifiez les paramètres EDID ou le câblage sur le commutateur, il peut
être nécessaire de redémarrer les lecteurs connectés. Si vous n’obtenez pas la sortie ou l’affi-
chage souhaité, veuillez procéder comme suit:
• Activez le mode EDID souhaité sur le commutateur et sélectionnez la source HDMI souhaitée.
• Allumez les écrans/la télévision.
• Débranchez la fiche d’alimentation du lecteur externe pendant quelques secondes, puis re-
branchez-la. Démarrez ensuite la source HDMI.
EDID
Les formats audio et vidéo pris en charge sont négociés entre les appareils. Vous pouvez influer
sur ce processus via la commande EDID (EDID = Extended Display Identification Data, avec lequel
un puits HDMI s’identifie à la source HDMI). Trois modes peuvent être sélectionnés à cet effet. Le
mode le plus fréquemment utilisé est COPY, dans lequel l’écran A est prioritaire.

AUTO
En mode AUTO EDID, les propriétés des deux écrans sont comparées. Le meilleur format possible,
supporté par les deux écrans, est alors fourni. Dans ce mode, l’écran le plus faible est pris en
compte. Les deux écrans affichent une image, mais le meilleur écran peut ne pas afficher la meil-
leure image possible.
Exemple : Lorsque vous êtes connecté à un téléviseur 4K et à un projecteur Full HD, en mode
AUTO, les sources délivrent un signal vidéo Full HD. Si les deux écrans prennent en charge le 4K,
l’image sera une vidéo 4K.
COPY
En mode COPY-EDID, les sources délivrent un signal optimisé pour l’écran A. Si l’écran B est plus
faible et prend en charge moins de formats, il se peut qu’il n’affiche pas d’image. Si nécessaire,
vous pouvez réduire le format vidéo sur le lecteur.
Exemple 1 : Si un téléviseur 4K est connecté à la sortie A et un projecteur Full HD est connecté à
la sortie B, un lecteur à entrée 4K délivre un signal d’image 4K. Le projecteur Full-HD ne montre
donc aucun signal, car il ne peut pas traiter le 4K. Solution : Si nécessaire, réduisez la sortie du
lecteur à Full HD.
Exemple 2 : Si un téléviseur 4K avec Dolby Vision est connecté à la sortie A et un projecteur 4K
(sans Dolby Vision) est connecté à la sortie B, un lecteur à entrée 4K délivre un signal d’image
4K avec Dolby Vision. Le vidéoprojecteur affiche alors les couleurs de manière incorrecte pour un
contenu Dolby Vision. Solution : Au lieu de Dolby Vision, réglez HDR10 sur la source.
STD
En mode STD EDID, le commutateur HDMI génère une information EDID, qui signale la prise en
charge de 4K 60Hz HDR10 aux lecteurs d’entrée.
Exemple : Quelles que soient les résolutions réelles des écrans, la 4K peut être lue (mais peut-être
pas affichée). Vous pouvez définir les propriétés vidéo sur les lecteurs comme vous le souhaitez.
Sortie A avec support ARC/eARC
Cette sortie prend en charge le canal de retour audio d’un téléviseur. Cela signifie que le son du
récepteur TV interne ou des applications TV peut être lu par la barre de son. Pour lire le son du
téléviseur, veuillez sélectionner l’entrée 1 sur le commutateur HDMI via la télécommande ou le
bouton.
Installation et fonctionnement
• Connectez le connecteur HDMI-eARC de votre barre de son à l’entrée HDMI 1. Connectez 1–3
sources de signaux HDMI (par exemple, un lecteur Blu-ray) aux entrées HDMI 2–4.
• Connectez la sortie HDMI A à la connexion HDMI-ARC ou HDMI-eARC de votre téléviseur. Si
aucun téléviseur ne doit être connecté, connectez-le à l’entrée HDMI de votre moniteur ou

vidéoprojecteur.
• Connectez la sortie HDMI B à une entrée HDMI de votre deuxième écran, par exemple un mo-
niteur, un vidéoprojecteur ou un deuxième téléviseur.
• Connectez le bloc d’alimentation au commutateur HDMI et branchez-le dans une prise de
courant. Allumez ensuite le téléviseur/vidéoprojecteur et la barre de son, puis le commuta-
teur. Allumez l’eARC sur le commutateur. Démarrez ensuite une source HDMI.
• Activez la fonction eARC/ARC sur la sortie A du téléviseur si elle n’est pas déjà active.
Attention : Lorsque vous branchez et débranchez les câbles HDMI, assurez-vous que les contacts
des connecteurs ne sont pas sales ou endommagés. Effectuez les connexions sans alimentation
et ne mettez les appareils sous tension qu’une fois qu’ils ont été connectés. Veillez également à
ce que les câbles HDMI soient de bonne qualité, notamment pour la transmission 4k. Nous re-
commandons une longueur de câble de 5 m maximum aux entrées et de 3 m maximum aux sorties
pour le 4k HDR. Les câbles hybrides HDMI à fibre optique peuvent être utilisés pour des distances
plus longues.
Marche/arrêt/commutation automatique ou contrôle HDMI CEC.
Ces fonctions ne sont généralement PAS possibles dans une configuration avec 2 écrans et HD-
MI-ARC. La commutation entre les différents lecteurs d’alimentation se fait via la télécommande
du VAX04201 ou le bouton situé sur la face avant de l’appareil.
Télécommande
La télécommande infrarouge fournie permet de contrôler
toutes les fonctions. La lecture indépendante est possible
via les deux écrans. Exemple : L’écran A affiche le lecteur 2,
l’écran B affiche le lecteur 3 en même temps.
1.Allume ou met en veille le commutateur HDMI.
2.Activation et désactivation de la fonction eARC de l’in-
terrupteur Lorsqu’elle est activée, la barre de son délivre
le son sélectionné pour l’écran A. Il n’est pas nécessaire
que l’écran A soit activé pour cela. Il n’est pas nécessaire
d’allumer l’écran A.
3.Sélectionnez la source que vous voulez que l’écran A
lise. Si la fonction eARC est activée, sélectionnez “1” pour
lire le son interne du téléviseur via la barre de son.
4.Sélectionnez ici le lecteur externe que vous souhaitez
lire sur l’écran B. Utilisez les boutons⏴⏵ pour passer à
l’entrée HDMI précédente ou suivante.
