G6 Plus Gimbal Firmware Upgrade Manual
for Windows
Attention
●Please get G6 Plus ready, along with USB cable, USB connector and computer before
operating.
●This software is just compatible with Windows operation system.
●Please do not press any other buttons except the ones indicated by the instructions
during upgrade.
●Please insert the battery before upgrading.
●Connect micro USB cable to USB connector as indicated by the following before
operating.
Steps
1. Download the USB driver from Feiyu official website www.feiyu-tech.com then install
it. Next, download the upgrade software and the firmware for G6 Plus.
2. Connect USB connector to USB port of the computer. Then check port number in
Device Manager. If the COM number is more than COM10, please modify it to the
available number which is within COM10.

3. Double click on the icon to open the update software UPGRADE_V1.09D. If there are
updates both for gimbal and keypad board, please upgrade firmware of keypad board
first.
4. Choose right port number and baud rate as 115200, then click on OPEN COM button
to open COM port.

5. Connect G6 Plus to USB cable that has connected with USB connector, the connection
between the gimbal and the computer will be established automatically, and the
connection status shows up.
6. Click on OPEN FILE button and choose right firmware.

7. Click on UPDATE START button to start upgrading, the process will display on the
software.
8. When all the blocks of the firmware are sent, click on OK button to finish upgrade.
Next, click on CLOSE button then unplug USB cable.

9. Turn to upgrade firmware of gimbal.
10. Choose right port number and baud rate as 115200, then click on OPEN to open COM
port.

11. Connect G6 Plus to USB cable that has connected with USB connector, the
connection between the gimbal and the computer will be established automatically,
and the connection status shows up.
12. Click on OPEN FILE button and choose right firmware.

13. Long press function button until the screen lights up fully, the connection between
the gimbal and the computer will be established automatically, and the connection
status shows up.
14. Click on UPDATE START button to start upgrading, the process will display on the
software.

15. When all the blocks of the firmware are sent, click on OK button to finish upgrade.
Next, click on CLOSE button then unplug USB cable and power off the gimbal.

FAQ
NO.1 “LINKOK ”didn’t show up when pressing the function button.
A:
1.Please check whether tightly plug in USB cable with USB port and with the USB
connector, the USB cable is right cable from our standard accessories.
2. Please check whether keep the gimbal off before upgrading.
3. Please check whether choose the right COM number and baud rate as 115200.
4. Please check whether press the function button after clicking on “OPEN
COM“ button at the right step.
If you did all the things right, please replace a new USB cable and USB
connector ,try it again.
NO.2 When”Link OK”showing up, click on“Start”,but no luck,”SEND
FAIL”just show up to remind me the update don’t work.
A: It happened because you didn’t hold the function button for enough time,
and the power didn’t start well. Please press and hold the function button at
step 13 till the screen fully light up.
NO.3 After clicking on “UPDATE START”, “send block 10...” show up in the
interface , but ”SEND FAIL” happen during the update.
A: If “SEND FAIL”shows up during the update, there may be something
wrong with the connection between control boards.
Please try to start update again, if the same issue happen, please kindly send back
to us for repair.
