A FELCO 880 POWERPACK is necessary for the use of

Thank you for purchasing the FELCO 801-HP electro
portable pruning shear. Under proper use and cared, this tool
shall provide you many years of satisfactory performance.
It is IMPERATIVE to read this manual in its entirety
before using the tool, or proceeding to maintenance
operations. Follow carefully the instructions and
illustrations provided in this document.
Throughout this User manual, you shall find warnings and
information with the following headings: NOTE, WARNING or
CAUTION. A NOTE provides further information, clarifies a
point, or explains a step to be followed in detail. The
WARNING, or CAUTION indication is used to identify a
procedure which, if neglected or performed improperly, can
result in property damage and/or serious injury. The
WARRANTY warning indicates that if the procedures or
instructions are not complied with, the damage is not covered
by warranty and repair costs will be borne by the owner.
No part of this manual may be reproduced without the written
permission of FELCO SA. The technical features and
illustrations in this manual are provided solely for guidance
and are not binding in any way. Company FELCO SA
reserves the right to proceed to any modification or
improvement to its products, as it deems necessary, without

SAFETY MEASURES
FELCO 801-HP is a professional tool, intended
exclusively for pruning trees, bushes, shrubs and vines.
It will greatly facilitate pruning activities in arboriculture,
maintenance of parks, gardens, forests and vineyards.
The FELCO 801-HP can be equipped with a specific
cutting head for trimming ovine and caprine hooves.
This specific feature is reserved for trained persons.
Company FELCO SA waives any responsibility in the
event of damages caused as a result of inappropriate
use, other than the one prescribed.
Company FELCO SA further declines any responsibility
for damages arising from the use of non-original parts
or accessories.

In the framework of shipping the complete FELCO 801
assembly (FELCO 801-HP 15 pruning shear +
FELCO 880 POWERPACK, or only the battery(ies) 09:
follow the applicable standards. Battery 09 is a product
classified as per UN 3481, class 9 packaging group II.
SAFETY MEASURES RELATED TO THE USE OF
THE TOOL
Verify that switch 07 is set to "OFF" position, before
disconnecting battery 09 from the control housing 04, or
disconnecting pruning shear 15 from the cord 02.
Disconnect pruning shear 15 from its cord 02 before
any intervention thereon (replacement of blade 17,
etc...).
Do not dismantle the pruning shear 15. Only the
operations contained in this manual are allowed.
Do not store the pruning shear 15 in humid areas.
Never carry the pruning shear 15 or the control
housing 04 by the cord 02.
Do not try to cut wood of particularly big diameter, or
materials other than wood, unless otherwise indicated.
Retain the original packaging for storing the pruning
shear 15, in the event of eventual dispatch thereof for
inspection or repair.
Keep the tool out of the reach of children.
When the pruning shear 15 is not used, close the
blade 17 and always set switch 07 to the "OFF"
position, in order to avoid bodily injury and deep battery
discharge 09.
Never use the tool if it is damaged, improperly adjusted,
or mounted in an incomplete fashion.
Pay attention to the projections that can cause physical
injuries or damage to property. The user and
bystanders must wear eye protection.
Always wear appropriate shoes and clothing.

INITIAL USE
1. Remove POWERPACK 03 from case 14.
2. Remove pruning shear 15 from case 14.
3. For FELCO 880 POWERPACK use, refer to FELCO 880
user manual found in case 14.
CAUTION
During initial use, if you try to work with your pruning
shear 15 without prior charging of the battery 09, the pruning
shear will not work. Refer to FELCO 880 user manual for the
procedure.
USE
Refer to the description of the tool on page 3 and illustration
A on page 4.
1. Connect the pruning shear 15 to the pruning shear power
cord 02.
2. Hold the pruning shear 15 in your hand, toggle switch 07
of the remote housing 06, from the "OFF" to the "ON"
position (the display 08 of the remote housing 06 is
activated).
3. Press once on trigger 16 and blade 17 opens. (Blade 17
opening and closing is proportional to the pressure
applied by the finger).
4. In order to stop the pruning shear 15, close the blade 17
using the trigger 16, keep the blade closed, toggle
switch 07 to the "OFF" position (the display 08 of the
remote housing 06 closes). It is possible to temporarily
pause the pruning shear using option "Stand-by Mode"
(Refer to FELCO 880 user manual).
NOTES
In order to save the energy fed by battery 09 and to
also ensure maximum autonomy for the pruning
shear 15, consider using option "semi-opening" which is
adjustable to 50%, 60%, or 70%. (Refer to FELCO 880
user manual). This option offers precious time-saving
when pruning small diameters.
If the wood is too thick, the pruning shears 15 stops in
the closing direction. Only opening is possible.
THE FIRST SHARPENING OPERATION AND THE BLADE
ADJUSTMENT MUST BE PERFORMED AFTER THE
FIRST HALF-HOUR OF USE!

ADVICE FOR USE
Forcing the trigger 16 does not add anything to the
cutting operation. It may lead to twisting or braking the
trigger 16 and in pruning shear 15 blockage.
Do not move the pruning shear 15 lateraly when cutting
a branch. Failure to comply with this instruction may
result in damages to the cutting head.
You must take all precautions to prevent the
entanglement of the pruning shear power supply
cord 02 in the branches. In order to do this, prefer
routing cord 02 along your shoulder and not around
your waist. In any case, if you wish to use the cord
around the waist, exit the cord 02 either from the top, or
from the left or right opening on the lower part of the
rucksack (depending on whether you are right- or left-
hander), then attach the cord 02 to the arm using an
arm band (ref. 800/301, available as an option at your
preferred authorized dealer), or route it under your
sleeve.
The autonomy and useful life of the pruning shear 15
depend essentially on the right and proper adjustment
of the blade 17 and anvil blade 18. You are required to
constantly attend these items, as with a manual pruning
shear (see chapters SHARPENING, ADJUSTING THE
BLADE AND ANVIL BLADE and MISCELLANEOUS
MAINTENANCE).
In cold or wet conditions, protect "POWERPACK
FELCO 880" carrying it under your raincoat.
To minimize exposure to vibration of the tool, it is
advisable to pay particular attention to its maintenance
and regular sharpening.
CAUTION
During intense or heavy cutting loads, the body of the
pruning shear 15 can get hot. To avoid deterioration of the
tool, slow down the pace or intensity of the cut. In case of
problems due to high temperature, the control electronics
reduce the power of the pruning shear (see FELCO 880 user
manual, chapter "OPERATION ALARMS".
NOTES
The pruning shear 15 familiarization process requires a
few pruning hours.
If the cut is not performed neatly and effortlessly, it
means that the pruning shear consumes more energy
than necessary. Check the sharpening of blade 17 and
the general condition of the pruning shear 15.
For all indications displayed by the display 08, refer to
FELCO 880 user manual.

SHARPENING
This operation is essential because it determines the cutting
quality and the service life of the blade 17, the mechanical
components and the endurance of the battery 09.
Sharpening frequency depends of course on the wood that is
cut (hardness and diameter), the pruning rate and the
sharpening tool used (FELCO 903 is recommended).
Therefore, during the first days of use, the condition of the
cutting edge of the blade 17 must be checked regularly in
order to sharpen it at the right moment (a check every
quarter of an hour will quickly give you an idea of this
frequency). As a minimum, one daily sharpening operation is
recommended during the whole pruning season.
CAUTION
The first sharpening operation must be performed in the first
half hour. To perform this operation, refer to illustration B on
page 4 of this user manual. At this occasion check and adjust
if necessary the play between the blade 17 and the anvil
blade 18 according to the instructions "ADJUSTING THE
BLADE AND ANVIL BLADE" below.
ADJUSTING THE BLADE AND ANVIL BLADE
In order to ensure clean and precise cut, adjust periodically
the play between the blade 17 and the anvil blade 18 by
referring to the illustration C on pages 4 and 5 of this user
manual.
ADJUSTING THE BLADE AND ANVIL BLADE CROSSING
If you sharpen regularly (recommended) your blade 17 and
blade 17 does not cross correctly with the anvil blade 18, you
can extend the longevity of blade 17 by means of adjusting
its crossing with the anvil blade 18.
To do this, activate the trigger 16, 2 times quickly and hold it
to the fully actuated position. You will hear a series of 3
sound signals. Count till the 4. After the fourth, blade 17 will
advance in small increments of 1 mm (maximum 2
increments). When crossing is good (blade 17 should overlap
clearly anvil blade 18) release the trigger 16 and the tool
saves the crossing position. Only perform this operation
when blade 17 does not cross over anvil blade 18 enough.
REPLACING THE BLADE
When the blade 17 no longer crosses the anvil blade 18
throughout its length, it is recommended that you change it.
To do so, refer to the illustration D on page 5 of this user
manual.
During this operation, please check the wear on Bolt 21 and
replace it if required.
CAUTION
Never operate the pruning shear 15 during this operation, as
this may lead to the damage of the tool and personal injury. It

is necessary to disconnect the pruning shear 15 from the
power cord 02 before this operation.
REPLACING THE BLADE AND ANVIL BLADE
When the blade 17 has been replaced several times, and the
cut is less clean even after precise adjustment of the play
between the blade 17 and the anvil blade 18, it is time to
replace the anvil blade 18. To do so, refer to the illustration E
on page 6 of this user manual.
CAUTION
Never operate the pruning shear 15 during this operation, as
this may lead to the damage of the tool and personal injury. It
is necessary to disconnect the pruning shear 15 from the
power cord 02 before this operation.
SEMI-OPENING MODE
The user has the ability to set blade 17 to "semi-opening
mode" at any time. This can be useful when it is necessary to
cut small diameter wood and large opening is not necessary.
To activate semi-opening mode, simply activate the
trigger 16 twice very quickly and release it immediately.
Blade 17 is set to half of its full opening path. To return to
large opening mode, simply activate the trigger 16 twice
quickly again and blade 17 is repositioned to its normal
opening mode. This mode can be permanently disabled
using the remote control housing 06. To do this, refer to
FELCO 880 user manual. Semi-opening setting is also
possible using the remote control housing 06; this allows you
to set permanently the level of openness of the blade when
you press the semi-open option. To do this, refer to the
POWERPACK FELCO 880 user manual.
STAND-BY MODE OF THE PRUNING SHEAR
The standby mode of the pruning shear allows you to stop
the tool without having to activate switch 07. To enable this
mode, you simply activate the trigger 16 two times rapidly
and hold until you hear a set of three quick beeps. You can
then release trigger 16 and blade 17 shall not open. To open
the blade 17, simply press once on the trigger 16.
CAUTION
This option is not intended as a power down of the tool, but
only simply as an aid to the pruning process. Attention must
be paid as a movement of trigger 16 will trigger the opening
of the blade 17.
This mode can be permanently disabled using the remote
control housing 06. To do this, refer to FELCO 880 user
manual.
MISCELLANEOUS MAINTENANCE
Please refer to illustration F on page 83 of this user manual.
Clean the cutting head at regular intervals using a
cleaner and lubricant that protects against corrosion
(i.e. spray FELCO 980). Remove especially all
accumulations of sap on the blade 17 and on the anvil
blade 18.
Clean the tool body with a damp cloth on a regular
basis.
Grease daily the grease tank of the anvil blade 18 by
applying grease using the grease pump FELCO 991, on
the grease bolt head 21.
Do not leave pruning shear 15 on the ground, or
exposed to the weather.
After 400'000 cuts, but at least once a year, it is
recommended to require a thorough inspection by an
authorized dealer, in order to increase the longevity of
your tool. The following parts will be replaced as a
preventive measure (Connecting rod, circlips, scraper
and back cover screws). The review fee shall be borne
by the end user.
OUTSIDE THE PRUNING PERIOD
Store the pruning shear 15 in its case 14 protected
against heat, dust and moisture.
It is recommended, during OFF SEASON period, to
perform a general inspection of your pruning shear 15,
at an authorized dealer. For more information, consult
your authorized dealer, or contact us.
With regard to POWERPACK FELCO 880 storage,
refer to FELCO 880 user manual.
AUDIBLE NOTIFICATIONS
CAUTION
The user is helped by sound signals emitted by the control
housing 04 of POWERPACK FELCO 880. For the meaning
of these signals, it is necessary to refer to FELCO 880 user
manual.
INCIDENTS
If the pruning shear 15 do not work:
1. Set switch 07 of the remote control housing 06 to the
"ON" position.
2. Check the battery 09 charge, while watching the
display 08 of the remote control housing 06. If necessary,
charge the battery 09 according to the instructions in
FELCO 880 user manual.
3. If the pruning shear 15 continues not to operate, set
switch 07 of the remote control housing 06 to the "OFF"
position and verify that the power cord 02 is correctly
connected and that the connection plug 01 is tight. Set
switch 07 of the remote control housing 06 to the "ON"
position.
4. If the pruning shear still does not work, return pruning
shear FELCO 801-HP and POWERPACK FELCO 880 in
the original packaging to an authorized dealer.
GUARANTEE AND NON-RESPONSIBILITY CLAUSE
In the event of failure of a mechanical, electrical or electronic
part, and subject to standard and reasonable use, and if the
tool is maintained in accordance with the user manual,
FELCO SA guarantees its products to its end customers for a
period of 2 YEARS as of the date of delivery to the end
customer. This period may not exceed 18 months as of the

dispatch of the material from the factory under the conditions
stipulated in this user manual.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN ANY OF THE PARTS OF
THE PRUNING SHEAR 15 (there is risk of damage and in
any case there is risk of guarantee cancellation).
In the event of an accident and total or partial destruction of
the product, FELCO SA's warranty can only be granted, and
their responsibility engaged, if the party claiming the warranty
can provide technical proof specifying the origin of the
accident, a defect in materials or a structural defect and the
product components which are the cause of it.
This contractual warranty excludes any other responsibility of
FELCO SA, whether implicit or explicit. For this reason, the
responsibility of FELCO SA cannot exceed the limits defined
above and covers, to a limited extent, repair or replacement,
as chosen by FELCO SA, of parts recognized to be defective
and, when applicable, the labour required to perform the
repair or replacement on the basis of warranty time as
defined by FELCO SA.
Any work whatsoever carried out during the warranty period
shall mandatorily be performed by FELCO SA or by a
FELCO SA authorized dealer, under penalty of forfeiture of
the warranty.
All costs arising from the immobilization, movement,
approach and transport shall be, in all events, for the sole
account of the purchaser.
With respect to the normal wear of parts resulting from use
consistent with the user manual, such elements are never
guaranteed unless an obvious manufacturing defect is
expressly recognized by FELCO SA.
FELCO SA and the approved dealer shall not be liable in the
following cases:
Malfunctions due to faulty servicing, user inexperience
or abnormal use.
Failure to perform overhauls and checks in accordance
with manufacturer’s instructions.
Replacement of genuine parts or accessories with parts
or accessories of another origin, or when the product
sold has been transformed or modified.
This warranty is explicitly limited to the terms defined above.
FELCO SA shall not be liable, under any circumstances, for
payment of any indemnity for any reason whatsoever.
However, it is stated that in accordance with applicable law
regarding liability for products, this contractual guarantee
does not replace the legal guarantee which obliges the seller
to guarantee the purchaser against all consequences of
hidden faults or defects of the item sold.
Keep carefully the details of your device (SEE labels on the
various components) to facilitate communication with our
after sales service and prevent errors in the dispatch of spare
parts.

Le FELCO 801-HP est un outil professionnel dont
l'usage est réservé exclusivement à la taille des arbres,
des buissons, des arbustes et de la vigne. Il facilitera
grandement vos opérations de taille dans
l'arboriculture, l'entretien des parcs, des jardins, de la
forêt et de la vigne.
Le FELCO 801-HP peut être équipé d'une tête de
coupe spécifique pour la taille des onglons d'ovins et de
caprins. Cette utilisation spécifique est réservée aux
personnes formées.

Dans le cadre d'expédition de l'ensemble complet
FELCO 801 (sécateur FELCO 801-HP 15 +
POWERPACK FELCO 880 ou de batterie(s)
seule(s) 09: respectez les normes en vigueur. La
batterie 09 est un produit classé UN 3481 classe 9
groupe d'emballage II.
MESURES DE SECURITÉ LIÉES A L'USAGE DE
L'OUTIL
Vérifiez que l'interrupteur 07 est bien en position arrêt
"OFF" avant de déconnecter la batterie 09 du boîtier de
commande 04 ou de désaccoupler le sécateur 15 de
son cordon 02.
Débranchez le sécateur 15 de son cordon 02 avant
toute intervention sur celui-ci (changement de lame 17,
etc...).
Ne démontez pas le sécateur 15. Seules les
manipulations figurant dans le manuel d'utilisation sont
autorisées.
Ne stockez pas le sécateur 15 dans un lieu humide.
Ne transportez jamais ni le sécateur 15 ni le boîtier de
commande 04 par le cordon 02.
N'essayez pas de couper des bois de section trop
grosse ou d'autres matériaux que le bois, sauf mention
spécifique.
Conservez l'emballage d'origine pour le rangement du
sécateur 15 pour un éventuel envoi de celui-ci en
révision ou en réparation.
Tenez l'outil hors de portée des enfants.
Lorsque le sécateur 15 n'est pas utilisé, fermez la
lame 17 et mettez systématiquement l'interrupteur 07
en position arrêt "OFF", afin d'éviter les accidents
corporels et la décharge profonde de la batterie 09.
Ne jamais utiliser l'outil s'il est abîmé, mal réglé ou
monté de façon incomplète.
Attention aux projections qui peuvent occasionner des
blessures corporelles ou des dégâts matériels.
L'utilisateur et les personnes présentes doivent porter
des lunettes de protection.
Portez toujours des chaussures et des vêtements
appropriés.

PREMIÈRE MISE EN SERVICE
1. Sortez le POWERPACK 03 de la mallette 14.
2. Sortez le sécateur 15 de la mallette 14.
3. Pour la mise en service du POWERPACK FELCO 880,
référez-vous au manuel d'utilisation FELCO 880 se
trouvant dans la mallette 14.
ATTENTION
Lors de la première mise en service, si vous tentez de
travailler avec votre sécateur 15 sans avoir au préalable
chargé la batterie 09, le sécateur ne fonctionnera pas.
Référez-vous au manuel d'utilisation FELCO 880 pour la
marche à suivre.
UTILISATION
Voir descriptif de l'outil en page 3 et marche à suivre A en
page 4.
1. Branchez le sécateur 15 au cordon sécateur 02.
2. Prenez le sécateur 15 en main, basculez l'interrupteur 07
du boîtier déporté 06, de la position "OFF" à la position
"ON" (l'afficheur 08 du boîtier déporté 06 s'enclenche).
3. Appuyer sur la gâchette 16 une fois et la lame 17 s'ouvre.
(L'ouverture et la fermeture de la lame 17 sont
proportionnelles au déplacement du doigt).
4. Pour arrêter votre sécateur 15, refermez la lame 17 à
l'aide de la gâchette 16, maintenez celle-ci fermée,
basculez l'interrupteur 07 en position arrêt "OFF"
(l'afficheur 08 du boîtier déporté 06 se déclenche). Il est
aussi possible d'arrêter temporairement le sécateur à

l'aide de l'option "Mode veille" (Référez-vous au manuel
d'utilisation FELCO 880).
REMARQUES
Afin d'économiser l'énergie délivrée par la batterie 09 et
d'assurer ainsi un maximum d'autonomie au
sécateur 15, nous vous conseillons d'utiliser l'option
"demi-ouverture" qui peut être réglée à 50%, 60% ou
70%. (Référez-vous au manuel d'utilisation
FELCO 880). Cette option offre un gain de temps
précieux lors de la taille de petits diamètres.
En cas de coupe trop importante, le sécateur 15 se
bloque à la fermeture. Seule l'ouverture est possible.

RÉGLAGE DEVRONT ÊTRE RÉALISÉS DÈS LA
PREMIÈRE DEMI-HEURE DE TRAVAIL!
CONSEILS D'UTILISATION
Il ne sert à rien de forcer sur la gâchette 16 pour aider à
la coupe, vous risquez de la tordre ou de la casser et
de bloquer le sécateur 15.
Ne déplacez pas le sécateur 15 latéralement pendant la
coupe d'une branche. Si vous ne respectez pas cette
consigne, vous risquez des dégâts de la tête de coupe.
Vous devez prendre toutes les précautions utiles afin
d'éviter d'accrocher le cordon 02 d'alimentation du
sécateur dans les branches. Pour ce faire, utilisez
l'option de passage du cordon 02 par l'épaule et non
pas par la taille. Si toutefois vous désirez utiliser le
cordon qui passe par la taille, sortez le cordon 02 soit
par le haut, soit par l'ouverture gauche ou droite au bas
du sac à dos (selon votre préférence et selon que vous
soyez droitier ou gaucher) puis attachez le cordon 02
au bras à l'aide d'un brassard (réf. 800/301 disponible
en option auprès de votre distributeur agréé) ou
passez-le dans votre manche.
L'autonomie et la durée de vie du sécateur 15
dépendent essentiellement du bon affûtage et du bon
réglage de la lame 17 et de la contre-lame 18. Vous
devez vous préoccuper en permanence de ces derniers
points comme vous le feriez pour un sécateur manuel
(voir chapitres AFFÛTAGE, RÉGLAGE LAME ET
CONTRE-LAME et ENTRETIENS DIVERS).
Par temps froid ou humide, protégez le "POWERPACK
FELCO 880" en le portant sous votre imperméable.
Pour minimiser l'exposition aux vibrations de l'outil, il
est conseillé de veiller tout particulièrement à son
entretien et à son affûtage régulier.
ATTENTION
Lors de travail intense ou de fortes sollicitations de coupe, le
corps du sécateur 15 peut devenir chaud. Pour éviter tout
risque de détérioration de l'outil, veillez à ralentir la cadence
ou l'intensité de la taille. En cas de problèmes de
température trop élevée, l'électronique de régulation réduit la
puissance du sécateur (voir manuel d'utilisation FELCO 880,
chapitre "ALARMES EN FONCTIONNEMENT".
REMARQUES
La prise en main du sécateur 15 nécessite quelques
heures de taille.
Si la coupe ne se fait plus nettement et sans effort, cela
signifie que le sécateur consomme plus d'énergie que
nécessaire. Vérifiez l'affûtage de la lame 17 et l'état
général du sécateur 15.
Pour toutes les indications affichées par l'afficheur 08,
veuillez vous référer au manuel d'utilisation
FELCO 880.

AFFÛTAGE
Cette opération est essentielle car elle détermine la qualité
de la coupe et la longévité de la lame 17, des pièces
mécaniques ainsi que l'autonomie de la batterie 09. Sa
fréquence dépend bien sûr du bois coupé (dureté et
diamètre), du rythme de taille et de l'outil d'affûtage
(FELCO 903 conseillé). Aussi est-il nécessaire, dans les
premiers jours d'utilisation, de vérifier fréquemment l'état du
tranchant de la lame 17 pour l'affûter au bon moment (un
coup d'œil tous les quarts d'heure vous donnera très vite une
idée de cette fréquence). Au minimum, un affûtage journalier
est recommandé pendant toute la saison de taille.
ATTENTION
Le premier affûtage doit être fait dès la première demi-heure.
Pour effectuer cette opération, voir marche à suivre B en
page 4 de ce manuel d'utilisation. A cette occasion, le jeu
entre la lame 17 et la contre-lame 18 doit être vérifié et réglé
au besoin selon les instructions ci-après "RÉGLAGE LAME
ET CONTRE-LAME".
RÉGLAGE LAME ET CONTRE-LAME
Afin de garantir une coupe nette et précise, réglez
périodiquement le jeu entre la lame 17 et la contre-lame 18
en suivant les indications de la marche à suivre C en page 4
et 5 de ce manuel d'utilisation.
RÉGLAGE CROISEMENT LAME ET CONTRE-LAME
Si vous affûtez régulièrement (conseillé) votre lame 17 et si
la lame 17 ne croise plus correctement avec la contre-
lame 18, il vous est possible de prolonger la longévité de la
lame 17 en réglant son croisement avec la contre-lame 18.
Pour ce faire, il vous suffit d'actionner 2 fois rapidement la
gâchette 16 et de maintenir celle-ci actionnée à fond. Vous

entendrez des séries de 3 signaux sonores. Comptez en 4.
Au bout du 4ème, la lame 17 avancera par petits incréments
de 1 mm (2 incréments maximum). Au moment où le
croisement est bon (la lame 17 doit chevaucher clairement la
contre-lame 18), relâcher la gâchette 16 et l'outil mémorise la
position du croisement. Ne procédez à cette opération que si
la lame 17 ne croise plus suffisamment la contre-lame 18.
CHANGEMENT LAME
Lorsqu'il n'est plus possible de régler le croisement de la
lame 17 avec la contre-lame 18, il est recommandé de
changer la lame 17. Pour cela, suivre les indications de la
marche à suivre D en page 5 de ce manuel d'utilisation.
Lors de cette opération, veuillez contrôler l'usure du
boulon 21 et le remplacer si nécessaire.
ATTENTION
Ne faites jamais fonctionner le sécateur 15 pendant cette
opération sous peine de détérioration de l'outil et blessures
corporelles. Il est impératif de déconnecter le sécateur 15 du
cordon 02 avant cette opération.
CHANGEMENT LAME ET CONTRE-LAME
Lorsque la lame 17 a été changée plusieurs fois et que,
même avec un réglage précis du jeu entre la lame 17 et la
contre-lame 18, la coupe est moins nette, il est temps de
changer la contre-lame 18.
A cet effet, suivre les indications de la marche à suivre E en
page 6 de ce manuel d'utilisation.
ATTENTION
Ne faites jamais fonctionner le sécateur 15 pendant cette
opération sous peine de détérioration de l'outil et blessures
corporelles. Il est impératif de déconnecter le sécateur 15 du
cordon 02 avant cette opération.
MODE DEMI-OUVERTURE
L'utilisateur a la possibilité de mettre en tout temps sa
lame 17 en "mode demi-ouverture". Ceci peut être utile
lorsqu'il s'agit de couper des petits diamètres de bois et que
la grande ouverture n'est pas nécessaire.
Pour activer cette demi-ouverture, actionnez simplement la
gâchette 16 deux fois très rapidement et relâchez-la
immédiatement. La lame 17 se place à la moitié de son
chemin complet. Pour revenir en mode grande ouverture, il
suffit d'actionner à nouveau la gâchette 16 deux fois
rapidement et la lame 17 se repositionne en ouverture
normale. Ce mode peut être désactivé de manière
permanente via le boîtier déporté 06. Pour ce faire, veuillez
vous reporter au manuel d'utilisation FELCO 880. Le réglage
de la demi-ouverture est aussi possible à l'aide du boîtier
déporté 06, il vous permet de régler de manière permanente
le niveau d'ouverture de la lame lorsque vous actionnez
l'option demi-ouverture. Pour ce faire, veuillez vous référer
au manuel d'utilisation POWERPACK FELCO 880.
MODE VEILLE DU SÉCATEUR
Le mode veille du sécateur vous permet d'arrêter l'outil sans
avoir à déclencher l'interrupteur 07. Pour activer ce mode, il
vous suffit d'actionner 2 fois rapidement la gâchette 16 en la
maintenant enfoncée jusqu'à ce que vous entendiez une
série de 3 signaux sonores rapides. Vous pouvez dès lors
lâcher la gâchette 16 et la lame 17 ne s'ouvrira plus. Pour
rouvrir la lame 17, il vous suffit d'appuyer une fois sur la
gâchette 16.
ATTENTION
Cette option n'est pas considérée comme un arrêt de l'outil
mais simplement comme une aide à la taille. Soyez prudent
et attentif car un mouvement de gâchette 16 déclenchera
l'ouverture de la lame 17.
Ce mode peut être désactivé de manière permanente via le
boîtier déporté 06. Pour ce faire, veuillez vous reporter au
manuel d'utilisation FELCO 880.
ENTRETIEN DIVERS
Voir marche à suivre F en page 83 de ce manuel d'utilisation.
Nettoyez régulièrement la tête de coupe avec un
produit nettoyant et lubrifiant qui protège de la corrosion
(par exemple spray FELCO 980). Eliminez tout
particulièrement les accumulations de sève sur la
lame 17 et la contre-lame 18.
Nettoyez régulièrement le corps de l'outil avec un
chiffon légèrement humide.
Graissez tous les jours le réservoir à graisse de la
contre-lame 18 en appliquant de la graisse avec la
pompe de graissage FELCO 991, sur la tête du boulon
graisseur 21.
Ne laissez pas le sécateur 15 dans la terre ni exposé
aux intempéries.
Après 400'000 coupes mais au minimum une fois par
année, afin d'augmenter la durée de vie de votre outil,
nous vous encourageons vivement à faire effectuer une
révision par un distributeur agréé. Les pièces suivantes
seront remplacées d'office à titre préventif (Axe de
bielle, circlips, racleur et vis pour coque arrière). Les
frais de révision sont à la charge de l'utilisateur final.
HORS PÉRIODE DE TAILLE
Stockez le sécateur 15 dans sa mallette 14 à l'abri de la
chaleur, de la poussière et de l'humidité.
Il vous est conseillé, HORS SAISON, de faire effectuer
une révision de votre sécateur 15, chez un distributeur
agréé. Pour plus de renseignements, consultez votre
distributeur agréé ou contactez-nous.
Pour le stockage du POWERPACK FELCO 880
veuillez vous référer au manuel d'utilisation
FELCO 880.
INFORMATIONS SONORES
ATTENTION
L'utilisateur est aidé par des signaux sonores émis par le
boîtier de commande 04 du POWERPACK FELCO 880. Pour
connaître la signification de ces signaux, veuillez
impérativement vous référer au manuel d'utilisation
FELCO 880.

INCIDENTS
Si votre sécateur 15 ne fonctionne plus:
1. Mettez l’interrupteur 07 du boîtier déporté 06 en position
"ON".
2. Vérifiez la charge de la batterie 09 en regardant
l'afficheur 08 du boîtier déporté 06. Au besoin, chargez la
batterie 09 selon les instructions figurant dans le manuel
d'utilisation FELCO 880.
3. Si le sécateur 15 ne fonctionne toujours pas, mettez
l’interrupteur 07 du boîtier déporté 06 en position "OFF"
puis vérifiez que le cordon 02 est bien branché et la
molette de la fiche de branchement 01 bien serrée.
Mettez l’interrupteur 07 du boîtier déporté 06 en position
"ON".
4. Si le sécateur ne fonctionne toujours pas, ramenez le
sécateur FELCO 801-HP et le POWERPACK
FELCO 880 dans l'emballage d’origine chez un
distributeur agréé.
GARANTIE ET CLAUSE DE NON-RESPONSABILITÉ
En cas de défaillance d'un composant mécanique, électrique
ou électronique, et sous condition d'une utilisation normale et
rationnelle, ainsi que d'une maintenance conformes au
manuel d'utilisation, FELCO SA garantit aux clients finaux
ses produits pour une durée de DEUX ANS à partir de la
date de livraison au client final, sans que ce délai ne puisse
excéder une période de 18 mois après la sortie d'usine du
matériel garanti selon les conditions stipulées dans le
présent Manuel d'utilisation.
NE TENTEZ JAMAIS D'OUVRIR L'UN OU L'AUTRE DES
ÉLÉMENTS DU SÉCATEUR 15 (vous risquez de les
détériorer et surtout vous perdrez le bénéfice de la
garantie).
En cas de sinistre et de destruction totale ou partielle du
produit, la garantie de FELCO SA ne peut être accordée, et
sa responsabilité retenue, qu'à la condition que soit apportée
par celui qui s'en prévaut, la preuve technique précise de
l'origine du sinistre, d'un défaut de matière ou d'un vice de
construction et des composants du produit qui en sont la
cause.
La présente garantie contractuelle est exclusive de toute
autre responsabilité de FELCO SA expresse ou implicite. A
ce titre, la responsabilité de FELCO SA ne peut excéder les
limites définies ci-dessus et comprend limitativement la
réparation ou l'échange, au seul choix de FELCO SA, des
pièces reconnues défectueuses ainsi que le cas échéant la
main d'œuvre nécessaire à cette réparation ou à cet
échange, sur la base des temps de garantie établis par
FELCO SA.
Tous travaux quelconques exécutés en période de garantie
devront obligatoirement, sous peine d'annulation de ladite
garantie, avoir été effectués par FELCO SA ou par un
distributeur agréé par FELCO SA.
Les frais éventuels d'immobilisation, de déplacement,
d'approche et de transport demeurent en tout état de cause à
la charge de l'acheteur.
En ce qui concerne les pièces d'usure normale résultant de
l'utilisation conforme au manuel d'utilisation, elles ne sont
jamais garanties sauf si un défaut de fabrication flagrant est
expressément reconnu par FELCO SA.
FELCO SA et le distributeur agréé seront dégagés de toute
responsabilité dans les cas suivants:
Lorsque les avaries sont dues à un défaut d'entretien, à
l'inexpérience de l'utilisateur ou à une utilisation
anormale et non conforme au manuel d'utilisation.
Lorsque les révisions et vérifications n'ont pas été
effectuées selon les prescriptions de FELCO SA.
Lorsque les pièces ou accessoires d'origine ont été
remplacés par des pièces ou accessoires d'une autre
origine ou lorsque l'appareil vendu aura été transformé
ou modifié.
La garantie est expressément limitée à la définition ci-dessus
exprimée, FELCO SA ne pouvant en aucun cas être tenue
au paiement d'une indemnité à quelque titre que ce soit.
Toutefois, il est précisé que, conformément à la législation
applicable en matière de responsabilité du fait des produits,
la présente garantie contractuelle ne se substitue pas à la
garantie légale qui oblige le vendeur à garantir l'acheteur
contre toutes les conséquences des défauts ou vices cachés
de la chose vendue.

Ordnungsgemäss betrieben und gewartet wird Ihnen dieses
Werkzeug viele Jahre lang treue Dienste erweisen.
Es ist UNERLÄSSLICH, dass Sie das GESAMTE
Benutzerhandbuch vor Gebrauch des Werkzeugs bzw.
vor Wartungsarbeiten durchlesen. Befolgen Sie
sorgfältig die Anweisungen und Illustrationen in diesem
Dokument.
Im gesamten Benutzerhandbuch finden Sie Warnhinweise
und Anmerkungen mit der Überschrift: HINWEIS,
WARNUNG oder VORSICHT. Ein HINWEIS enthält
zusätzliche Informationen, klärt einen Punkt oder beschreibt
einen zu befolgenden Schritt im Detail. Die Warnhinweise

SICHERHEITSMASSNAHMEN
Die FELCO 801-HP ist ein professionelles Werkzeug,
das ausschliesslich zum Zuschnitt von Bäumen,
Büschen und Sträuchern sowie Reben zu verwenden
ist. Sie erleichtert Ihnen die Beschneidung bei
Obstanbau sowie die Pflege von Grünanlagen, Gärten,
Wäldern und Weinbergen.
Die FELCO 801-HP kann mit einem speziellen
Schneidkopf für den Schnitt von Ziegen- und
Schafhufen ausgerüstet werden. Diese spezielle
Nutzung ist ausgebildeten Fachkräften vorbehalten.

Bei Versand des Komplettsets FELCO 801 (Schere
FELCO 801-HP 15 + POWERPACK FELCO 880 oder
einzelner Akkus 09 sind die anwendbaren Normen zu
beachten. Der Akku 09 ist ein Produkt der Klasse 9 UN
3481 Verpackungsgruppe II.
SICHERHEITSMASSNAHMEN BEIM GEBRAUCH
DES WERKZEUGS
Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Schalter 07 auf "OFF"
steht, ehe Sie den Akku 09 vom der Steuereinheit 04
trennen oder das Kabel 02 von der Schere 15 lösen.
Ziehen Sie das Kabel 02 aus der Schere 15, bevor Sie
irgendetwas daran verändern (Klingenwechsel 17 etc.).
Bauen Sie die Schere 15 nicht auseinander. Nur
Handgriffe, die in diesem Benutzerhandbuch aufgeführt
sind, sind erlaubt.
Lagern Sie die Schere 15 nicht an einem feuchten Ort.
Tragen Sie niemals die Schere 15 oder die
Steuereinheit 04 am Kabel 02.
Versuchen Sie nicht, Holz mit zu grossem Durchmesser
zu schneiden oder andere Materialien ausser Holz, es
sei denn, dies sei spezifisch erwähnt.
Bewahren Sie die Originalverpackung zur Lagerung der
Schere 15 auf, falls diese einmal zur Prüfung oder
Reparatur verschickt werden muss.
Halten Sie das Werkzeug ausserhalb der Reichweite
von Kindern.
Wenn die Schere 15 nicht in Gebrauch ist, schliessen
Sie die Klinge 17 und schalten Sie grundsätzlich den
Schalter 07 auf "OFF", um Unfälle und Verletzungen
sowie eine Tiefenentladung des Akkus 09 zu
vermeiden.
Benutzen Sie das Werkzeug niemals, wenn es
beschädigt ist, nicht korrekt eingestellt oder
unvollständig montiert.
Vorsicht vor herumfliegendem Material, das zu
Verletzungen und Materialschäden führen kann. Der
Benutzer und umstehende Personen müssen eine
Schutzbrille tragen.
Tragen Sie immer angemessene Schuhe und Kleidung.

ERSTE INBETRIEBNAHME
1. Nehmen Sie das POWERPACK 03 aus dem
Transportkoffer 14.
2. Nehmen Sie die Schere 15 aus dem Transportkoffer 14.
3. Für die Inbetriebnahme des POWERPACKS
FELCO 880, siehe Benutzerhandbuch FELCO 880 im
Koffer 14.
VORSICHT
Bei der ersten Inbetriebnahme wird die Schere 15 nicht
funktionieren, wenn Sie versuchen, diese ohne vorheriges
Aufladen des Akkus 09 zu verwenden. Zum weiteren
Vorgehen siehe Benutzerhandbuch FELCO 880.
GEBRAUCH
Siehe Beschreibung des Werkzeugs auf Seite 3 und
Verfahren A auf Seite 4.
1. Stecken Sie das Scherenkabel 02 in die Schere 15.
2. Nehmen Sie die Schere 15 in die Hand, stellen Sie den
Schalter 07 des Handterminals 06 von "OFF" auf "ON"
(das Display 08 des Handterminals 06 schaltet sich an).
3. Betätigen Sie den Abzugshebel 16 einmal und die
Klinge 17 öffnet sich. (Das Öffnen und Schliessen der
Klinge 17 entspricht der Bewegung des Fingers).
4. Um Ihre Schere 15 abzustellen, schliessen Sie die
Klinge 17 mit Hilfe des Abzugshebels 16, halten Sie
diese geschlossen und stellen Sie den Schalter 07 auf
"OFF" (das Display 08 des Handterminals 06 schaltet
sich ab). Es ist auch möglich, die Schere vorübergehend

mit der Option "Stand-By-Modus" abzuschalten (siehe
Benutzerhandbuch FELCO 880).
HINWEISE
Um Energie zu sparen und so die maximale
Arbeitsdauer der Schere 15 zu nutzen, raten wir Ihnen,
die Option "Halbe Klingenöffnung" zu wählen, die auf
50%, 60% oder 70% eingestellt werden kann. (siehe
Benutzerhandbuch FELCO 880). Dieser Modus bietet
auch eine wertvolle Zeitersparnis beim Schneiden
kleinerer Durchmesser.
Bei zu grossem Schnittdurchmesser blockiert sich die
Schere 15 beim Schliessen. Sie kann dann nur noch
geöffnet werden.
DAS ERSTE SCHLEIFEN UND EINSTELLEN DER KLINGE
IST NACH DER ERSTEN HALBEN STUNDE ARBEIT
VORZUNEHMEN!
BENUTZUNGSHINWEISE
Es ist zwecklos, den Abzugshebel 16 mit Gewalt zu
drücken, um den Schnitt zu unterstützen - Sie riskieren
nur, diesen zu verbiegen oder zu brechen und die
Schere 15 zu blockieren.
Während des Schneidens eines Astes die Schere 15
nicht zur Seite bewegen. Wenn Sie diesen Rat nicht
befolgen, riskieren Sie eine Beschädigung des
Schneidkopfs.
Sie müssen alle entsprechenden
Vorsichtsmassnahmen treffen, um zu verhindern, dass
das Scherenkabel 02 der Schere in den Ästen hängen
bleibt. Führen Sie das Kabel 02 zu diesem Zweck über
Ihrer Schulter und nicht entlang Ihrer Hüfte. Wenn Sie
dennoch das Kabel 02 an Ihrer Hüfte entlang führen
möchten, ziehen Sie das Kabel 02 entweder oben oder
an der linken oder rechten Öffnung am Rucksack durch
(je nachdem, ob Sie Links- oder Rechtshänder(in)
sind), befestigen Sie dann das Kabel 02 mit einer
Armbinde am Arm (Artikel-Nr. 800/301, als Option bei
Ihrem autorisierten Händler erhältlich) oder führen Sie
es durch Ihren Ärmel.
Die Kapazität und die Lebensdauer der Schere 15
hängen stark vom richtigen Schliff und der richtigen
Einstellung der Klinge 17 und der Gegenklinge 18 ab.
Sie müssen diese Punkte ebenso sorgfältig beachten,
wie Sie es bei einer manuellen Schere tun würden
(siehe Kapitel SCHLEIFEN UND EINSTELLEN DER
KLINGE UND GEGENKLINGE sowie DIVERSE
WARTUNGSMASSNAHMEN).
Bei kaltem oder nassem Wetter schützen Sie das
"POWERPACK FELCO 880" dadurch, dass Sie es
unter Ihrer Regenjacke tragen.
Um Vibrationen am Werkzeug zu minimieren, ist
insbesondere darauf zu achten, dass es regelmässig
gewartet und geschliffen wird.
VORSICHT
Bei intensiver Arbeit oder starker Schnittbeanspruchung kann
sich das Gehäuse der Schere 15 erhitzen. Um eine
Beeinträchtigung des Werkzeugs zu vermeiden, achten Sie
darauf, das Arbeitstempo oder die Schnittdurchmesser zu
verringern. Bei Problemen mit zu starker Erhitzung verringert
die elektronische Regelung die Leistung der Schere (siehe
Benutzerhandbuch FELCO 880, Abschnitt "ALARMSIGNALE
WÄHREND DES BETRIEBS").
HINWEISE
Um sich an die Nutzung der Schere 15 zu gewöhnen,
sind mehrere Stunden Schnittarbeit erforderlich.
Erfolgt der Schnitt nicht mehr sauber und ohne Mühe,
so bedeutet dies, dass die Schere mehr Energie
verbraucht als nötig. Prüfen Sie die Schärfe der
Klinge 17 und den allgemeinen Zustand der Schere 15.

SCHLEIFEN
Dieser Handgriff ist entscheidend für die Schnittqualität und
die Langlebigkeit der Klinge 17 und der mechanischen Teile
sowie die Kapazität des Akkus 09. Die Häufigkeit dieser
Massnahme hängt natürlich vom geschnittenen Holz ab
(Härte und Durchmesser), vom Schneiderhythmus und vom
Schleifwerkzeug (FELCO 903 wird empfohlen). Es ist
ausserdem notwendig, während der ersten Tage des
Gebrauchs, regelmässig den Zustand der Schneide der
Klinge 17 zu überprüfen, um rechtzeitig nachzuschleifen (ein
Blick alle Viertelstunde gibt Ihnen schnell ein Gefühl für die
erforderliche Häufigkeit). Einmal Schleifen pro Tag während
der gesamten Schnittsaison wird mindestens empfohlen.
VORSICHT
Der erste Schliff muss nach der ersten halben Stunde
erfolgen. Siehe dazu Verfahren B auf Seite 4 dieses
Benutzerhandbuchs. Bei dieser Gelegenheit muss das Spiel
zwischen Klinge 17 und Gegenklinge 18 überprüft und nach
Bedarf eingestellt werden - beachten Sie hierzu die
folgenden Instruktionen unter "EINSTELLUNG DER KLINGE
UND DER GEGENKLINGE".
