Mounting set

Step by step
•Take tent out of the box and remove the plastic
•Prepare your 4 mounting sets and put the rooftent on top of your car
•Mount the tent to the cross bars, see previous page for instructions
•Open the tent by loosening the 2 buckles and push up the shell
•Add the flex poles to the side entrances and/or the big window. Please note, the holes for the flex poles
(window only) are at an angle. Push the pole in horizontally and bend the pole to connect to the O-ring in the
awning/door
•Close the tent in the reverse order, remove flex poles first, lift up the skirt around the edges to a vertical
position and push the fabric into the tent. Don’t close the zippers of the tent completely as air needs to be
able to leave the tent. Tug in fabric at the sides and close the buckles. Don’t forget to tug in the pulling cord.
•You can put the ladder, in the bag, into the tent or stow your ladder in the car. Blankets and pillows can stay,
flat, in your tent
•And off you go!

Tips
•This is a single layer tent, always keep a door open slightly to allow ventilation in your tent to avoid
condensation as much as possible
•After rain, make sure the mattress and tent are 100% dry, before storage of the tent
•Like your car, this tent needs love and care. Please add some WD40 spray or silicon spray to all the bolts
and nuts occasionally for a longer lifespan of the shell and metal parts. This is a must!
•Depending on the soil/ground you will be camping on, please think of bringing the right pegs for the
mounting of the Kajto fly tarp (optional to buy with your tent)
•The Kajto fly tarp has 2 telescopic poles and 4 ropes. If you plan on using the Kajto please consider
bringing extra poles, ropes and/or quick release sail clamps for quick and easy set up
•The Kajto can be attached to the shell by sliding the keder into the caravan rail on both sides of the shell

A quick impression of the Kajto, feel free to improvise
