4 MEASURING PROCEDURE:
Turn on the instrument after checking that the battery is charged. Pre-heat the instrument for
1 minute. Plug thermocouples into the measurement outputs T1 and T2, respectively, making
sure to insert each plug in the appropriate outlet.
Then press buttons "T1/T2" and T1 or T2 will be displayed on the screen. If T1 is displayed,
the temperature that appears will be that measured by sensor T1 and if T2 is displayed the
temperature will be that measured by sensor T2. Only one channel at a time is enabled for
measurement. After the thermocouples T1 and T2 are inserted and the values displayed on
the screen are stable, press the "T1-T2" button to measure the difference between the
temperatures of the object measured by the two channels.
Be sure to select the same unit of measurement for the two measurements, either °C or °F
for both.
Example: If 2 is displayed this means that the temperature detected by T1 is 2 degrees
higher than that measured by T2; if -2 is displayed this means that the temperature detected
by T2 is 2 degrees higher than that measured by T1.
After measuring, turn off the instrument using the appropriate button.
4.1 Using the thermocouple "K" type short
The instrument is equipped with a small thermocouple for temperature measurements with a
range from -50°C to 125°C but ONLY FOR SHORT CONTACT. This can be used for liquids,
solid surfaces and the environment.
4.2 Using the thermocouple "K" type medium
The instrument is equipped with a medium thermocouple for temperature measurements with
a range from -50°C to 750°C. This can be used for liquids and the environment.
