conditions, medications and/or excessive alcohol or drug use may be dangerous.
Before using the ladder at a workplace, risk analysis considering the relevant country’s legal regulations should
be performed.
Maximum ladder loading capacity is 150 kg. The weight of the user plus the tool and the material must not exceed
150 kg.
While transporting the ladders on roof racks or in a van make sure they are positioned correctly to prevent
damage.
Before loading the ladder, always make sure that the retaining mechanism is in the locked position. When using
the ladder in its full length, all retaining mechanisms must be locked!
Make a visual inspection of all parts at the beginning of the working day when the ladder is to be used.
Regular inspection is required in case of professional users.
The ladder must be used with regular spacing between the rungs.
Do not use any extensions, components or accessories that are not sold and/or recommended by the
manufacturer.
Check the ladder upon receipt and inspect the condition and functionality of all parts before use. Check all
parts before each use. Do not use the ladder if any parts are missing, damaged or worn in any way. Regular
inspections are is required in case of professional users. Make sure that the ladder is fit for the given task.
Do not attempt to modify this ladder in any manner. This might lead to a serious injury and void the warranty.

Clear the ladder of any debris such as wet paint, slush, oil or snow.
Dispose of the ladder if it was exposed to excessive heat (such as during a house fire) or corrosive agents (acids
or alkali).
Using the ladder
Do not exceed the total bearing capacity of a given ladder type.
Do not lean: the user should keep his or her body centre (abdomen) between the side panels with both feet on
the same step/rung during work.
Do not step from the wall supported ladder to a higher level without a proper securing, such as binding or using
an appropriate stabilizing element.
Do not use stepladders to access to a higher level (floor).
Do not stand on the upper three steps/rungs of a wall supported ladder. Do not stand on the upper two steps/
rungs of a stepladder unless a platform and handle/rail are used.
Avoid standing on the upper four steps/rungs of a stepladder with a telescopic ladder (section) in the upper part.
The ladders should be used for light and short-term works only.
For unavoidable electric jobs on live parts, use non-conductive ladders only.
Do not use the ladder in outdoor environment under bad weather conditions, such as during strong winds.
Take security measures to prevent children from playing on the ladder.

EN 10
FZZ 4008, 4009
Secure the doors (not emergency exits) and windows in the work area if possible.
Make sure you always face the ladder when climbing up or down. Hold firmly to the ladder while climbing up and down.
Do not use the ladder as a bridge.
Use appropriate shoes.
Avoid excessive side loads, such as drilling into bricks and concrete.
Do not abstain on the ladder for too long without regular breaks (fatigue is a risk)
Wall supported ladders to access a higher level should lap over the contact point by at least 1m.
The burden being carried when the ladder is used should be lightweight and easy to handle.
On stepladders, avoid performing works that require side loads such as drilling into firm materials (such as
bricks or concrete).
While working on the ladder, hold on to the handle or take sufficient safety measures if this is not possible.
Repairs, maintenance and storage
Repairs and maintenance must be performed by a professionally skilled person in compliance with the manufac-

2. RETAINING MECHANISMS
ATTENTION! Get familiar with ladder function first before use!
Each ladder rung is equipped with a pair of retaining mechanisms. These consists of spring-loaded steel pins
that automatically click into place when the ladder is extended. Each mechanism is connected to a retaining lever
visible from the outside (see fig.2)
Description (fig.2):
Pair of locking levers
The locking levers have 2 purposes. They indicate the mechanism’s locked and unlocked condition and are
used as buttons to release the pins (when retracting the ladder).
The lever near the side panel indicates the mechanism is locked. The lever away from the side panel indicates the
mechanisms is unlocked (see fig.3).
Description (fig.3):

LOCKED
UNLOCKED
ATTENTION! Always check if the levers are visibly locked although it may appear that the retaining
mechanism has made an audible “click”. The retaining mechanism must be fully locked before use.
ATTENTION! The retaining mechanism must be locked before using the ladder.
