DANGER TO LIFE AND RISK OF
ACCIDENTS FOR INFANTS AND CHILDREN! Keep
rechargeable batteries out of the reach of children. Do not leave the
rechargeable batteries lying around. There is a risk of children or animals
swallowing them. Consult a doctor immediately if a rechargeable battery is
swallowed.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
Never leave children unattended with the packaging material. It can cause
suffocation. Children often underestimate dangers. Always keep children away
from the product.
This product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children.
Children are not aware of the dangers associated with handling electrical
products.

Product-specific safety instructions
Make sure that the solar panel is free of dirt and free of snow and ice in
winter. Otherwise the performance of the solar cell will diminish.
Safety instructions for rechargeable batteries
CAUTION! DANGER OF EXPLOSION! Use only rechargeable
batteries of the recommended type. Other rechargeable or single-
use batteries could explode during charging.
FIRE HAZARD! Do not allow rechargeable batteries to short-
circuit. Otherwise the rechargeable batteries may overheat, become
a fire hazard or explode.
RISK OF EXPLOSION! Never throw rechargeable batteries into
fire or water.
Chemical fluids that damage the product may leak out of outdated or used
rechargeable batteries. Remove, therefore, the rechargeable batteries when
the product is not required for any length of time.

WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES! If they come into contact with
skin, leaked or damaged rechargeable batteries could cause
chemical burns; you should therefore wear suitable protective
gloves at all times if such an event occurs.
Only use rechargeable batteries of the right size and of the recommended
type (see section on ”Technical data”).
Ensure correct polarity. This is indicated in the battery compartment for the
rechargeable batteries.
Preparing for use
Installation
Install the product in accordance with figures A-D.
Make sure that the assembled product is inserted far enough into the ground
(lawn, flower bed) for it to be stable.
Make sure you keep proper footing and balance at all times. Do not use any
force when assembling or setting-up the product, e.g. hammer blows. This will
damage the product.

You can select the following mode by sliding the MODE switch 1:
OFF
The product is switched off.
SOUND mode
The buzzer in the product sends out sound waves for approx. 5 seconds every
20 seconds.
VIBRATION mode
The product produces vibration for approx. 5 seconds every 20 seconds.
SOUND + VIBRATION mode
In this mode, sound waves and vibration are produced simultaneously for
approx. 5 seconds every 20 seconds.
Charging the rechargeable batteries
The solar panel installed in the product converts sunlight into electrical energy
and stores it in 3 NiMH batteries.
The charging time of the rechargeable batteries when the solar cell 2is used
depends on the intensity of the sunlight and the angle of incidence of the light
on the solar cell 2. In order to achieve the best result, set the product up in a
place where the solar cell will get direct sunlight for as long as possible. Place
the solar cell 2as perpendicular as possible to the angle of incidence of the
light.

Replacing the rechargeable batteries
Replace the rechargeable batteries when you notice that the operation period
of this device has considerably reduced over time, despite full exposure to
solar radiation (see figure E).
Maintenance and care
Clean the product regularly with a dry, non-fluffing cloth. Use a slightly
dampened cloth to remove more stubborn dirt.
Troubleshooting
Note: This appliance has delicate electronic components. This means that if it is
placed near an object that transmits radio signals, it could cause interference.
If you notice that the device is malfunctioning, remove any sources of interference
from the area of the device.
Note: Electrostatic discharges may cause device to malfunction. In the event of
such malfunctions, remove the batteries briefly and reinsert them.

Disposal
The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may
dispose of at local recycling facilities.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of
your worn-out product.
To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly
when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household
waste. Information on collection points and their opening hours can be
obtained from your local authority.
Defective or exhausted rechargeable batteries must be recycled in accordance
with Directive 2006/66/EC. Return the battery and / or the device through the
appropriate collection facilities.
Improper disposal of rechargeable batteries can damage
the environment!
Rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with the household refuse. They
may contain toxic heavy metals and require to be handled as special waste.
The chemical symbols of heavy metals are: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury,
Pb = lead.

Warranty
The device has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously
examined before delivery. In the event of product defects you have legal rights
against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by
our warranty detailed below.
The warranty for this device is 3 years from the date of purchase. Should this
device show any fault in materials or manufacture within three years from the date
of purchase, we will repair or replace it - at our choice - free of charge to you.
The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the original sales
receipt in a safe location. This document is required as your proof of purchase. This
warranty becomes void if the device has been damaged or improperly used or
maintained.
The warranty applies to faults in material or manufacture. This warranty does not
cover product parts subject to normal wear, thus possibly considered consumables
(e.g. batteries) or for damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, rechargeable batteries
or glass parts.

PERICOL DE MOARTE ȘI ACCIDENTE
PENTRU BEBELUȘI ȘI COPIII MICI! Ţineţi bateriile
reîncărcabile departe de accesul copiilor. Nu lăsaţi bateriile
reîncărcabile împrăştiate în jur. Există pericolul ca copiii sau animalele să le
înghită. Consultaţi doctorul imediat dacă o baterie reîncărcabilă este înghiţită.
Acest aparat poate fi folosit de copii de la 8 ani în sus şi persoane cu
capacităţi psihice, senzoriale sau mentale reduse, sau fără experienţă sau
cunoştinţe, dacă sunt supravegheate sau instruite referitor la folosirea
aparatului într-un mod sigur şi dacă înţeleg riscurile implicate. Copiii nu trebuie
să se joace cu aparatul. Curăţarea şi întreţinerea de către utilizator nu trebuie
făcută de copii fără supraveghere.

Instrucţiuni de siguranţă specifice produsului
Asiguraţi-vă că panoul solar nu are mizerie şi zăpadă sau gheaţă iarna. În caz
contrar, performanţa celulei solare va fi diminuată.
Instrucţiuni de siguranţă pentru baterii
reîncărcabile
ATENŢIE! PERICOL DE EXPLOZIE! Folosiţi doar baterii
reîncărcabile de tipul recomandat. Alte baterii reîncărcabile sau de
unică folosinţă pot exploda în timpul încărcării.
PERICOL DE INCENDIU! Nu lăsaţi bateriile reîncărcabile să
facă scurtcircuit. În caz contrar, bateriile se pot supraîncălzi, pot
produce incendiu sau pot exploda.
PERICOL DE EXPLOZIE! Nu aruncaţi niciodată bateriile
reîncărcabile în foc sau în apă.
Din bateriile reîncărcabile expirate sau folosite pot curge lichide chimice care
deteriorează produsul. De aceea, îndepărtaţi bateriile reîncărcabile atunci
când produsul nu este folosit o perioadă de timp.

PURTAŢI MĂNUȘI DE PROTECŢIE! Dacă vin în contact cu
pielea, bateriile reîncărcabile curse sau deteriorate pot produce
arsuri chimice; de aceea, trebuie să purtaţi mănuşi de protecţie
potrivite tot timpul dacă apar asemenea evenimente.
Folosiţi doar baterii reîncărcabile de mărime corectă şi de tipul recomandat
(vezi secţiunea ”Date tehnice”).
Asiguraţi polaritatea corectă. Aceasta este indicată în compartimentul pentru
bateriile reîncărcabile.
Pregătirea pentru folosire
Instalarea
Instalaţi produsul conform figurilor A-D.
Asiguraţi-vă că produsul asamblat este introdus suficient de mult în sol (gazon,
pat de flori) pentru a fi stabil.
Asiguraţi-vă că vă păstraţi permanent o poziţie corespunzătoare şi echilibrul.
Nu folosiţi forţa când asamblaţi sau montaţi produsul, de ex. lovituri de ciocan.
Aceasta va deteriora produsul.
