ControllerLogic:Pleaseusethefollowingguidetounderstandtheoperationofthecontrollers.
1. PowerLED:MakesuretheGreenpowerLEDisONwhenpowerissuppliedtothecontroller.
2. InputLED:ForNCswitchwiring,theinputLEDonthecontrollerwillbeAmberwhentheswitchreadsno‐
flowandOFFwhentheswitchreadsflow.
3. InvertOperation:WhentheinputLEDturnOffandOn,therelayLEDwillalsoswitch.WithinvertOff,the
relayLEDwillbeOnwhentheinputLEDisOnandOffwhentheinputLEDisOff.WithinvertOn,therelay
LEDwillbeOffwhentheinputLEDisOnandOnwhentheinputLEDisOff.
4. RelayOperation:TherelaymaybewiredeitherNOorNC.ThenormalstateoftherelayiswhenitsLEDis
Off.WiththeLEDOn,therelayisintheenergizedmodeandallterminalconnectionsarereversed.
Troubleshooting:

FirstcheckthePowerLEDtomakesureitisGreen.Ifnot,check
thewiring,powerandmakesuretheterminalisseated
correctlyoverthe6‐pins.
AFloworNo‐Flowconditionis
metbuttherelaydidnotswitch.
Checktherelaybyswitchingtheinvertswitch.Confirmthat
relayclickonandoffaswellastherelayLED.
TheFloworNo‐Flowisnot
switchingatthecorrectflowrate.
Theflowswitchmayneedtobeadjusted.ReviewtheFlow
SwitchCalibrationsectiononthepreviouspageforinstructions
onsettingtheactualflowswitch.Note:accesstotheflow
switchadjustmentisdifficultandrequirestheremovalofthe
PCBassembly.Usecautionwhenperformingthisstep.
Tryingtostarttheflowbutthe
controllerkeepsturningtheflow
off.
Torestartaflowcondition,thesensorneedstosenseanactual
flowconditionbeforechangingtherelayinthecontroller.A
flowswitchover‐ridemayneedtobeaddedacrosstherelay
contactsthatallowsforatrueflowtooccurbeforeswitching
backtothecontroller.Theuseofamomentswitchis
recommendedfortheover‐rideswitch.
RelayLEDdoesnotmatchmyflow
condition.
TherelayLEDcanbeswitchedbyeitherthereversingthewiring
ofthesensortothecontrollerorbyflippingtheinvertswitch.
ThismeansthattherelayLEDcaneitherbesettoturnon
duringaflowconditionortoturnoffduringano‐flow
condition.Thisisalldependentonthewiringandtheinvert
position.
RelayLEDdoesnotmatchthe
sensor’sLEDindicator.
Thesensor’sLEDwillalwaysbeONduringaNo‐Flowstateand
OFFduringaFlowstate,regardlessoftheswitcheswiring.As
perabovetheinputLEDcanbeinvertedtoanycondition.In
someapplications,theywillmatchandinotherstheywillbe
opposite.Thisisalldependentontheapplication
parameter/setup.
