INTRODUCTION
You have purchased the BASIC CARBON DIOXIDE CO2
MONITOR by FORENSICS DETECTORSTM.This product
tracks indoor CO2 levels which is suited for classrooms,
home, offices, gyms, restaurants, hydroponics, cars and
transport vehicles. The monitor operates from any USB
charger. Your CO2 monitor is already calibrated so just
Turn ON and GO!
POWER & BATTERY CHARGING
The CO2000-USB version has a built-in lithium battery and
is charged when the CO2 monitor is powered via the USB
charger. When the USB is connected, the power LED will
be RED. When the monitor operates on battery power, the
battery icon on the top right will be displayed. The battery
operation can last for up over 8 hours. It takes about 2
hours to fully charge the battery.
OPERATION
ON/OFF:The ON/OFF power button is located on the back
of the CO2 monitor. Press the POWER button to turn On
the CO2 monitor. **BEWARE ** ensure you depress the
button completely; sometimes you may need a toothpick to
press it completely down. After a 10 second countdown
the CO2 monitor will display the instantaneous CO2 that it
detects in the ambient environment. The temperature,
humidity, date and time is also continuously displayed on
the LCD screen. LED indicators are located on the left to
indicate comfort levels SAD, NORMAL and HAPPY FACE.
Happy Face LED will show when below the Low Alarm set-
point. Normal face LED will show when CO2 level has
exceeded the Low Alarm set-point. Sad Face LED will show
when Hi alarm set-point has been exceeded.
MENU BUTTON:Press the MENU button on the right
hand side to scroll through the MENU selection options as
shown in the right table.
TIPS
•Press buttons very lightly when selecting.
•Battery model lasts over 8 hours.
•The monitor can be mounted on the wall as it
also has recessed indents to hook onto a screw.
•The USB cable can be plugged into any USB
port such as an existing USB charger.
•Check YouTube for video demonstration to help!

MENU FUNCTIONS
Press the MENU button to scroll through the menu
selection as shown in the below icons. When a menu
option is selected it will FLASH. To select the MENU
press ENTER and then press UP and DOWN to toggle
the selection then press ENTER to select.
Mute/Silence Mode:Select this to silence
alarm or mute. When alarming, press any
button to engage MUTE.
Calibration Mode: When selected the
detector calibrates to 400ppm. Press
ENTER for 3 seconds. There will be 300-
second countdown. Ensure the detector is
in FRESH OUTDOOR AIR when calibrating.
Calibration should be performed every 6
months to ensure accuracy.
Alarm Settings: Select LOW or HIGH with
UP and DOWN arrows. Select to change
LOW and HIGH alarm CO2 levels. Default
alarm points are 800ppm for LOW and
1100 for HIGH.
Temp Selector:Select to toggle between
C and F temperature readings.
MAX: Select this option to view the
maximum CO2 recorded by the monitor.
To clear max, press UP button for 4 secs.
Time Date: Select this option to change
the date and time. Press ENTER to
scroll/select digits and UP and DOWN
arrows to change selection.
There may be added MENU functions on
some models due to firmware updates.
