Youcan clearCMOStorestoredefaultsystemsetting.TocleartheCMOS,follow
theprocedures described below.
1.Turnoff the systemandunplugthe ACpower.
2.RemoveATXpowercablefromPWR1connector.
3. Short pins 1and2onthisjumper.
4. Returnthe jumpertothenormalsetting bylockingpins 2and3togetherwith
thejumpercap.
5. Turnthesystemon. TheBIOSisreturnedtothedefaultsettings.

Plug theCPU cooling fancableintothe3-pinCPUFANpowersupplyon the
motherboard.Connectthe casecoolingfan connectortoFAN1.
4.FrontAudioConnector
The audiointerface provides twokindsof audiooutputchoices:the FrontAudio,
the RearAudio.Theirpriorityissequencedfromhightolow(FrontAudiotoRear
Audio). Ifheadphones arepluggedintothefront panelof thechassis(usingthe
FrontAudio), then theLine-out (RearAudio)onthe rearpanelwill notwork. If you
do notwanttouse theFrontAudio, pin5and6,pin9and10mustbe SHORT,and
thenthesignalwill besenttotherearaudioport.

11. 6-channelAudioEffects
ThemotherboardisequippedwiththeCODEC ALC655 chip,which provides supp-
ortfor6-channelaudiooutput,including2front,2rear, 1centerand1subwoofer
channel. ALC655allowsthe boardtoattach4or6speakersforabetter surround
sound effect. Toapplythisfunction,you havetoinstallthe audiodriverinutilityCDas
wellas an audioapplication supporting 6-channel.Theillustration belowrepre-
sentsthestandardlocation ofallspeakersin6-channelsoundtrack. Connectthefront
speakertothegreen audiooutput; connectthesurround sound speakertotheblue
audiooutput and connectthecenter speaker/subwoofertotheredmicrophoneoutput.
Thisheadersupportswireless transmitting and receiving devices.Beforeusing
thisfunction,Configurethe settings ofIRmodefromthe “Integrated Peripherals”
sectionof theCMOSSetupUtility.
