• Installation, commissioning and maintenance are to be performed only by a
qualified technician according to the instructions provided.
• Legal requirements and the technical connection regulations of the local electricity
supply companies must be complied with.
• Due to the IP 20 protective system applied, the device must be used in dry rooms
only.
• Only appliances with protection class III (SELV) may be connected to the unit.
• During the warranty period, the factory-set output voltage 24 V may only be changed
by a member of the Franke-AQUAROTTER customer service department.
• Secure the electric connection with an earth leakage circuit breaker (RCD).
• Proper cooling must be assured. To ensure an unimpeded flow of cooling air, it is
important to provide a minimum distance of 15 mm to neighbouring parts.

Function:
Start command for thermal disinfection
☞The contact must be closed at least 5 s and no more than 2 minutes
• While the thermal disinfection process is underway, a short pulse is considered a
cancellation of this function. A safety window of at least 30 s passes before the
fittings are flushed, and the system then returns to its normal mode of operation.
This process is then recorded as being "not successful".

Function:
Start command for hygiene flushing
☞This is triggered with a pulse.
• Only for fittings that have this corresponding function backed up within the program
ID and which have a flow duration set.
• In such fittings the hygiene flushing process is performed 1x.
Function:
Start command for cleaning circuit.
☞This is triggered with a pulse.
• Fittings within the network are brought on-line to the cleaning mode. Fittings can not
be triggered.
Stop command for switching off cleaning

Cleaning switch-off is automatically terminated after 10 min.

10. Assembly Instructions
☞When installing several devices, to ensure an unimpeded flow of cooling air, it is
important to provide a minimum distance of 15 mm to neighbouring parts.
Mounting on and dismounting from top-hat rails TS 35
10.1 For mounting, insert the device with the top-hat rail guide into the lower edge of the
top-hat rail and tilt it upwards to make it lock in position.
10.2 To dismount, lift the device in order to overcome the spring force, and then tilt it down
to unlock it.
Installing on a wall
10.3 Mark the holes for the 4 screws.
10.4 Drill according to the markings.

10.5 Insert the dowels.
☞Depending on the composition of the wall, special wall dowels may have to be used
(not included).
10.6 Use 4 screws in the tabs to mount the device to the wall.
11. Electrical Connection
Caution!
Before connecting the device, check the operating voltages specified on the type plate.
Connecting the power lines
☞The cross section of the input lines can be max. 2.5 mm².
11.1 Strip the ends of the input lines 8 mm.
☞Apply wire-end ferrules to flexible line ends.
11.2 Connect the input lines.

☞Up to an output current of 1.1 × Irated the output voltage is maintained constant at the
set value. For greater output currents, the output voltage is reduced.

Connecting the output lines
☞The cross section of the output lines can be max. 1.5 mm².
11.3 Strip the ends of the output lines 8 mm.
☞Apply wire-end ferrules to electric lines.
11.4 Connect the output lines in compliance with the pin configurations(see Chapter 9.) .
12. UPS
The ECC function controller automatically detects the presence of any connected UPS.
The UPS is then checked every 25 hours. The check is performed by switching off its
own power supply for 5 s. During this time the system is powered by the UPS. And
during this time the ECC function controller measures the voltage. If the voltage is less
than 22 V, driver output OUT2 "UPS fault" is set.
☞"UPS fault" – slow pulses (see Chapter 9.).
☞Defective battery module in the UPS. The UPS requires replacement.
