Before using the appliance, please read all the
instructions and advice contained in this manual.
In this way you will be able to make best use of the
appliance and also ensure its lasting efficiency. Keep
this booklet for further reference.

This user manual applies to several models of the
device. Thus it may be possible that some of the
described features and functions are not available on
your specific model.
FRANKE reserves the right to make modifications
to the product without prior notice. All information
correct at time of issuance.

incorrect installation and incorrect, improper

electrical device:

This appliance is not intended for use
by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety.

they do not play with the appliance.
This device is not a toy.

or its controls during and immediately after

Induction systems of these hobs meet the
requirements of EMC standards as well as
the EMF Directive and should not interfere
with other electronic devices.
 Heart pacemakers users or other electronic
implants users should clarify with their
medical doctor or with the manufacturer
of the implants whether these devices are
sufficiently interference resistant.

Proper installation and placement
The appliance must be installed and
connected to the electricity and gas supply
in accordance with the separate installation
instructions. Have a qualified fitter/
electrician carry out the necessary work.
The appliance is designed for use in the home
for preparing food. No liability is assumed
for any damage caused by improper use or
incorrect handling.
If the appliance is to be permanently
connected to the power supply:
 Ensure that the device is installed only
by the customer service, an electrician
or trained personnel with the appropriate
knowledge/education.
 Ensure that the device is installed in a
way that allows to disconnect it from the
power supply, with a contact opening
distance (3mm) that ensures complete
disconnection in category III overvoltage
conditions.
 Ensure that the device is connected
directly to the mains socket.
– Ensure that no adapters, no multi-
sockets and no extension cables are
used to connect the device.
 Ensure that the supply cord is not damaged.
If damaged, contact customer services.
 Ensure that the device is not exposed to
atmospheric agents (rain, sun).
 Ensure that the ventilation of the appliance
is in accordance with the manufacturer‘s
instructions.
Risk of death!
 Keep pets away from the device.
Packaging materials, e.g. plastic film and
polystyrene, can be dangerous for children.
 Keep packaging material away from
children.
Proper use
 Only use the device to prepare and
cook food.
 Observe the manuals of the cooking
devices that are used with the hob when
using the device.
 Do not place power cables of other electric
appliances on hot parts of the appliance.
 Do not use flammable liquids near the
appliance.
 After use, switch off the hob by its
controls. Do not rely on the pan detector.
 Do not operate the appliance with an
external time switch or a separate remote
control system.
 The cooking process has to be supervised.
– A short term cooking process has to be
supervised continuously.
– After use, switch off the hob element by
its control and do not rely on the pan
detector.
 The appliance shall not be installed
behind a decorative door in order to avoid
overheating.
Risk of burns!
During use the appliance becomes hot. Care
should be taken to avoid touching heating
elements inside the hob.
WARNING: Accessible parts may become
hot during use. Young children should be kept
away.
 Do not to touch the heating elements.
 Metallic objects such as knives, forks,
spoons and lids should not be placed on
the hob surface since they can get hot.
Risk of electric shock due to
damaged device!
 WARNING: If the surface is cracked,
switch off the appliance to avoid the
possibility of electric shock.
 Do not switch on a device if the surface
is cracked or there is a damage to the
material thickness.
 Do not touch the appliance with wet parts
of the body.
 Contact the customer service.
Risk of fire!
 Do not store items on the cooking
surfaces.

Risk of fire!
Unattended cooking on a hob with fat or oil
can be dangerous and may result in fire. Hot
oil ignites readily.
 Prepare food with plenty of fat (such as
chips) only under constant supervision.
 Never try to extinguish fire with water.
 In the case of a fire, switch off the
appliance and cover flame e.g. with a lid or
with a fire blanket.
To avoid damaging the appliance
 In the case of thermal failure, switch the
solid plate off and allow to cool down
completely.
 Do not put any dishes on it. Do not cool
with cold water under any circumstances.
 Do not climb onto the appliance.
 To avoid damaging the silicon grouting, do
not put hot cookware on the frame.
 Do not cut or prepare food on the surface
or drop hard objects onto it. Do not drag
cookware across the surface.
 Make sure than no sugary foods or juices
end up on the hot cooking zones. This can
damage the surface. If sugary foods or juices
do end up on the hot cooking zones, remove
these immediately with a glass ceramic hob
scraper (while the hob is still hot).
 Do not leave the appliance unattended
during operation.
Pots with pure copper or aluminium leave
behind traces that can be difficult to clean. If
the traces are not removed immediately after
cooking with a suitable cleaning agent, they
can be permanently burned on and therefore
permanently ruin the visual appearance of
the appliance.
 Do not use pots with pure copper or
aluminium bases for cooking.
Sliding pots and cookware across the glass
ceramic causes scratches.
 Avoid scratches by lifting pots and
cookware when putting them into place.
The hob is an item for daily use: signs of
usage such as scratches or visible material
abrasion from pots or cookware are normal.
Intensive use leads to more distinctive
signs of usage. In such cases, the appliance
continues to function perfectly and a
complaint is not justified. Safety is always
guaranteed.
Maintenance and cleaning
 Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or
sharp metal scrapers to clean the hob,
since they can scratch the surface, which
may result in shattering of the glass.
 Do not use steam cleaners or direct jets
of water.
Risk of electric shock due to entering
liquid!
The device contains electrical components.
 Make sure that no liquid enters the interior
of the device.
 Do not use pressurised steam to clean
the device.
Repair
The appliance is manufactured in compliance
with the relevant effective safety standards.
 Do not allow anyone except qualified
personnel to install or repair the appliance.
 Contact a service centre authorised by the
manufacturer or qualified personnel in the
following cases:
– Immediately after unpacking, in the event of
doubts regarding the integrity of the device
– During installation (according to the
manufacturer‘s instructions)
– Doubts regarding the correct operation of
the device
– Malfunction or poor operation
– Replacing the power socket if incompatible
with the power plug of the device
– If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or similarly qualified persons in order
to avoid a hazard.
 Use original spare parts only.
Taking out of service
 If the appliance is no longer to be used, call
the service centre or qualified personnel to
disconnect it from the power supply.

USEFUL ADVICE
Using the cooking zones
For better efficiency and lower electricity
consumption, use pots of suitable width for the
cooking zones.
Using the hob
To obtain best results from your hob, take the
following precautions when cooking or preparing food.
– Use flat-bottomed pots to ensure their even
position on the cooking zone.
– Use pots of width as similar as possible to that of
the cooking zones, in order to exploit all
the heat available.
– Always check that the bottoms of pots are clean
and dry, to ensure the long life of the hob and pots.
It is advisable not to use pots with aluminum
bottoms, as they could permanently mark the
surface of the vitroceramic hob.
Avoid spilling sugary substances on the hob.
If necessary, clean immediately.
Do not directly heat tins containing food.
USE
Switching on the cooking zones
This knob can be turned clockwise (gradually
increasing the cooking zone power; from position I to
position I2) and anticlockwise.

Any cooking zone can also be switched on by going
directly from Off (0) to max. power (12).
Cooking zone automatic protection
The hob has several systems that protect against
possible overheating which could damage the
electronic components. The power is automatically
reduced to minimum even if just one of the hotplates
is switched on without a pot.
The hob switches off automatically in case of
prolonged use of several hotplates together at
high power.
Residual heat indicator
After switching off the cooking zone, the residual
heat indicator located under the glass next to every
plate remains lit, indicating that the glass surface is
still hot, until the temperature of the zone falls below
the critical level (approx. 60° C).
During this phase do not clean or touch the
cooking zones.

Fitting in the cabinet
After carrying out the operations for connecting
the power cable to the power supply, following the
relevant instructions, apply the sealing strip around
the hole and position the hob. Carefully tighten the
fixing hooks (fig. 2). Remove any excess sealing strip.

NOTE: If the appliance is not installed above an oven,
a separator baffle must be arranged (fig. 3).
INSTALLATION
Operations for appliance installation are described
below. These procedures must be carried out by
qualified personnel in compliance with current local
regulations, as installation by any unskilled person
may constitute a hazard.
The manufacturer declines any liability for injury
or damage due to non-compliance with these
provisions.

Preparing the cabinet
This handbook refers to a class 3 built-in hob.
Prepare the hole in the top according to the
measurements given in fig. 1.

Fitting in the cabinet
After carrying out the operations for connecting
the power cable to the power supply, following the
relevant instructions, apply the sealing strip around
the hole and position the hob. Carefully tighten the
fixing hooks (fig. 2). Remove any excess sealing strip.

NOTE: If the appliance is not installed above an oven,

Connection to the power supply
The FRANKE cooking hob comes with a 3-core
power cable with free terminals.
If the hob is permanently connected to the power
supply, install a circuit breaker having a contact
opening distance that allows complete disconnection
in the conditions of overvoltage category III.
Make sure:
 the plug and the socket are suitable for a 16A current
 both are easily accessible and positioned so that
no live part can be accessed when inserting or
removing the plug
 the plug can be inserted without difficulty and is
accessible with the appliance installed
 that once the plug is inserted, the hob is not
resting on it when installed in the cabinet
 the terminals of two appliances are not connected
to the same plug

3 x 1.5 mm H05VV-F type cable is used when
replacing the power cable.
 to respect the polarities of the free terminals
(Brown=Live, Blue=Neutral, Yellow⁄Green=Earth).

household electrical power supply (voltage,
maximum output and current) are compatible with
those of your FRANKE hob.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before carrying out any hob cleaning or
maintenance, always unplug the appliance or
disconnect the power by means of the main switch.
 Stainless steel and enamelled parts will remain
pristine if regularly cleaned with water or using
specific products, thoroughly drying them
afterwards.
 Never use steam appliances, scouring pads, steel
wool, muriatic acid or other products which could
scratch or mark the surface.
 Do not leave acid or alkaline substances on the hob.
 Never use sharp objects, as they could damage
the seals between the vitroceramic and trim or
between the trim and worktop.
 Do not use products containing sands, alkalis,
acids, chlorides, oven sprays, detergents usually
used to clean dishwashers.
 Do not use detergents to clean the vitroceramic
as they could cause permanent bluish
decoloration on the surface.
 Use a damp cloth to carefully clean the cooking
zones of any residues of special detergents for
cleaning the vitroceramic.
 Remove any residual grime as soon as possible
to prevent it from burning. When placing dishes
on the hob, make sure the bottoms are clean, dry
and not greasy.
 Foods that accidentally fall or settle on the
surface, on the functional or aesthetic elements
of the hob must not be eaten.
 To prevent scale deposits from forming, always
thoroughly dry the appliance after going over it
with a damp cloth.
 Any foods with a high sugar content that spill onto
the hob must be immediately removed using a
special scraper.
 Remove grime with a damp cloth; for stubborn
stains use the special scraper.
 Carefully clean the hob using a few drops of a
special detergent for vitroceramic and a paper
towel or damp cloth.
 Disconnect the appliance immediately if sugar,
plastic or tin foil falls or is accidentally placed on
the hob when hot. Immediately remove these
substances carefully with a special spatula while the
cooking zone is still hot, paying particular attention
to the risk of burns. Lastly, clean the cooking zone
when it has cooled, as described above.

Disposal
The symbol on the product or on the
packaging indicates that the device must
not be disposed of in the domestic waste.
In accordance with the Directive 2012/19/EU,
regarding the reduction of the hazardous substance
used in electrical and electronic appliances, and
waste disposal.
The barred dustbin symbol given on the appliance
indicates that at the end of its useful life the product
must not be collected seperately from other waste.
Therefore, when the appliance has reached the
end of its working life the user must take it to an
appropriate differentiated collection centre for
electronic and electrotechnical waste, or return it
to the dealer when purchasing a new appliance of
equivalent type.
Adequate differentiated collection of the scrapped
appliance for subsequent recycling, treatment and
environmentally-friendly disposal will help prevent
possible negative effects on the environment and
health and favours recycling the materials of which
the appliance is made.

Das Gerät ist kein Spielzeug.
 Kinder vom Gerät und vom
Verpackungsmaterial fernhalten.
 Kinder in der Nähe des Geräts nicht
unbeaufsichtigt lassen.
 Kinder nicht mit dem Gerät spielen lassen.
 Kinder dürfen das Gerät oder die
Bedienelemente während des Betriebs
oder unmittelbar danach nicht berühren.
Die Induktionssysteme dieser Kochfelder
erfüllen die EMV-Richtlinie sowie die
EMF-Richtlinie und verursachen in der
Regel keine Interferenzen mit anderen
elektronischen Geräten.
 Personen mit Herzschrittmachern oder
anderen elektronischen Implantaten
sollten jedoch mit ihrem Arzt oder mit dem
Hersteller des Implantats abklären, ob
diese Geräte ausreichend störfest sind.
Korrekte Installation und Aufstellung
Das Gerät muss entsprechend der separaten
Installationsanleitung eingebaut und an die
Stromversorgung angeschlossen werden.
Notwendige Arbeiten von einer Installations-/
Elektrofachkraft durchführen lassen.
Das Gerät ist für die Zubereitung von Speisen
im privaten Haushalt bestimmt. Für etwaige
Schäden durch unsachgemäßen Gebrauch
oder falsche Handhabung kann keine Haftung
übernommen werden.
Falls das Gerät permanent mit der Stromquelle
verbunden sein soll:
 Installation nur vom Kundendienst, einem
Elektriker oder entsprechend geschultem
Fachpersonal durchführen lassen.
 Das Gerät muss so eingebaut werden,
dass die vollständige Trennung
von der Stromquelle mit einem
Kontaktöffnungsabstand (3mm) ermöglicht
wird (gemäß Überspannungskategorie III).
 Das Gerät muss direkt an die Netzsteckdose
angeschlossen werden.
– Für den Anschluss des Geräts dürfen
keine Adapter, Mehrfachsteckdosen
oder Verlängerungskabel verwendet
werden.
 Das Netzkabel darf nicht beschädigt sein.
Falls es beschädigt ist, Kundendienst
kontaktieren.
 Das Gerät muss vor Witterungseinflüssen
(Regen, Sonne) geschützt sein.
 Auf ausreichend Raum zur Luftzirkulation
entsprechend den Herstellerangaben achten.
Lebensgefahr!
 Haustiere vom Gerät fernhalten.
Verpackungsmaterialien, z.B. Plastikfolie und
Polystyrol, stellen eine Gefahr für Kinder dar.
 Kinder vom Verpackungsmaterial fernhalten.
Richtige Verwendung
 Das Gerät nur zum Kochen und Zubereiten
von Speisen verwenden.
 Beim Gebrauch des Kochfelds die
Bedienungsanleitungen der Kochgeräte
beachten, die zusammen mit dem Kochfeld
verwendet werden.
 Keine Stromkabel oder anderen
elektrischen Geräte auf heiße Teile
des Kochfelds stellen.
 Keine brennbaren Flüssigkeiten in der
Nähe des Kochfelds verwenden.
 Kochfeld nach Gebrauch über die
Bedienelemente ausschalten. Nicht auf
die Topferkennung vertrauen.
 Gerät nicht mit einer externen
Zeitschaltuhr oder einem separaten
Fernsteuerungssystem betreiben.
 Der Kochvorgang muss beaufsichtigt werden.
– Ein kurzzeitiger Kochvorgang muss
ununterbrochen beaufsichtigt werden.
– Das Kochfeld-Heizelement nach
Gebrauch über das Bedienelement
ausschalten und nicht auf die
Topferkennung vertrauen.
 Das Gerät darf nicht hinter einer Dekortür
installiert werden, um Überhitzung zu
vermeiden.

Verbrennungsgefahr!
Während der Verwendung wird das Gerät
heiß. Es sollte sorgfältig vermieden werden,
das Kochfeld zu berühren.
WARNUNG: Die zugänglichen Teile können
während der Verwendung heiß werden. Kleine
Kinder sollten ferngehalten werden.
 Die Heizelemente nicht berühren.
 Keine Metallgegenstände wie Messer,
Gabeln, Löffel und Deckel auf dem Kochfeld
ablegen, da sie heiß werden können.
Stromschlaggefahr durch defektes
Gerät!
 WARNUNG: Weist die Glaskeramik
Sprünge oder Risse auf, Gerät ausschalten,
um einen Stromschlag zu vermeiden.
 Gerät nicht einschalten, wenn die
Glaskeramik Sprünge oder Risse aufweist
oder die Materialstärke beschädigt ist.
 Das Gerät nicht mit nassen Körperteilen
berühren.
 Kundendienst benachrichtigen.
Brandgefahr!
 Keine Gegenstände auf den Kochflächen
lagern.
Brandgefahr!
Unbeaufsichtigtes Erhitzen von Fett oder Öl
auf einem Kochfeld stellt eine Gefahr dar
und kann Feuer zur Folge haben. Heißes Öl
entzündet sich schnell.
 Zubereitung von Speisen mit viel Fett
(wie etwa Pommes frites) nie
unbeaufsichtigt lassen.
 Nie ein Feuer mit Wasser löschen.
 Im Falle eines Feuers Gerät ausschalten
und Flammen z.B. mit Deckel oder
Löschdecke ersticken.
Zur Vermeidung von Beschädigungen
am Gerät
 Im Falle eines thermischen Defekts
Kochplatte ausschalten und vollständig
abkühlen lassen. Kein Geschirr darauf
abstellen. Unter keinen Umständen mit
kaltem Wasser abkühlen.
 Gerät nicht besteigen.
 Um Schäden an der Silikondichtung zu
vermeiden, kein heißes Kochgeschirr auf
dem Rahmen abstellen.
 Speisen nicht auf der Glaskeramik
schneiden oder zubereiten und keine
harten Gegenstände darauf fallen lassen.
Kochgeschirr nicht über die Glaskeramik

 Sicherstellen, dass keine zuckerhaltigen
Speisen oder Säfte auf die heißen
Kochzonen gelangen. Dadurch kann die
Glaskeramik beschädigt werden. Wenn
zuckerhaltige Speisen oder Säfte auf die
heißen Kochzonen gelangen, sofort mit
einem Glasschaber entfernen (solange
das Kochfeld noch heiß ist).
 Gerät während des Betriebs nicht
unbeaufsichtigt lassen.
Töpfe aus Kupfer oder Aluminium
hinterlassen Spuren, die schwierig zu reinigen
sind. Wenn die Spuren nicht unmittelbar
nach dem Kochen mit einem geeigneten
Reinigungsmittel entfernt werden, brennen
sie möglicherweise fest und ruinieren
dadurch dauerhaft das Erscheinungsbild
des Geräts.
 Keine Töpfe mit Böden aus Kupfer oder
Aluminium zum Kochen verwenden.
Töpfe oder Kochgeschirr über die
Glaskeramik zu schieben, hinterlässt Kratzer.
 Um Kratzer zu vermeiden, Töpfe und
Kochgeschirr beim Umsetzen anheben.
Das Kochfeld ist für den täglichen Gebrauch
gedacht: Gebrauchsspuren wie Kratzer
oder sichtbarer Materialabrieb von
Töpfen oder Kochgeschirr sind normal.
Intensiver Gebrauch hinterlässt auch
deutlichere Gebrauchsspuren. Dadurch
wird die Funktion des Geräts keinesfalls
beeinträchtigt. Reklamationen sind daher
nicht gerechtfertigt. Die Sicherheit ist stets
gewährleistet.

Pflege und Reinigung
 Verwenden Sie keine scheuernden
Reinigungsmittel oder scharfen
Metallschaber zum Reinigen des Kochfelds,
da diese die Oberfläche zerkratzen und
zum Glasbruch führen können.
 Nicht mit Dampfreinigern oder direktem
Wasserstrahl reinigen.
Stromschlaggefahr durch
eindringende Flüssigkeit!
Das Gerät enthält elektrische Teile.
 Sicherstellen, dass keine Flüssigkeit ins
Geräteinnere gelangt.
 Nicht mit Dampfdruck reinigen.
Reparatur
Das Gerät wurde entsprechend den
einschlägigen geltenden Sicherheitsstandards
gefertigt.
 Montage oder Reparatur des Geräts nur
vom Fachmann ausführen lassen.
 Wenden Sie sich in folgenden Fällen
unbedingt an eine vom Hersteller
autorisierte Kundendienststelle oder einen
Fachmann:
– Falls unmittelbar nach dem Auspacken
Zweifel an der Unversehrtheit des Geräts
bestehen
– Zur Installation (nach Anweisungen
des Herstellers)
– Falls Zweifel hinsichtlich des korrekten
Betriebs des Geräts bestehen
– Bei Funktionsausfall oder Funktionsstörung
– Zum Auswechseln der Netzsteckdose, falls
die vorhandene nicht zum Gerätestecker
passen sollte
– Falls das Netzkabel beschädigt ist,
muss es durch den Hersteller, dessen
Kundendienstvertreter oder Personen mit
ähnlicher Qualifikation ersetzt werden, um
Gefahren zu vermeiden.
 Nur Originalersatzteile verwenden.
Außerbetriebsetzung
 Wenn das Gerät nicht mehr benutzt
wird, Kundendienststelle oder Fachmann
benachrichtigen, um das Gerät von
der Stromversorgung zu trennen.
