table electronic reference. Using this product,

Getting Started
✓Disabling the Demonstration
You probably do not want to view the dem-
onstration each time you start. To disable
it, first press MENU. Then press to
highlight
Other and press ENTER to select
it. Then select Disable Demo .
✓Viewing Help
You can view help information at most
screens by pressing HELP. To exit help,
press BACK.
To view a key guide, press MENU, select
the Other menu, and then select
Tutorial .
Press the arrow keys to read it.

Changing Settings
You can set the font size and shutoff time. The
font size can be large (2-lines) or small (3-lines).
The shutoff time is how long this product stays
on if you forget to turn it off.
To Set the Font Size
1. Press MENU.
2. Press to highlight
Other .
3. Press ENTER to select it.
4. Select
Large Font or Small Font .
5. Press BACK to back up.
To Set the Shutoff Time
1. Select Other .
2. Select Set Shutoff .
3. Press to highlight a setting.
4. Press ENTER to select it.
5. Press CLEAR when done.

The flashing arrows at the right of the
screen show which arrow keys you can
press to move around.

Finding Personality Profiles
Personality profiles describe the astrological sig-
nificance of birth dates. Read them to learn more
about yourself or friends.
1. Press CLEAR.
Or select Personality profile from the Topics
menu.
2. Type a birth date (e.g.,
12-30-1968 ).
To type numbers, press the top row of letter
keys. You must type hyphens between the
month, day, and year.And the year must have
four digits.
3. Press ENTER.
4. Press to read the profile.
5. Press CLEAR when done.
✓Viewing Complete Menu Items
Some names and menu items are followed
by ellipses because they are too long to fit
on the screen. To view the full name or
item, press when it is highlighted on the
menu.

Finding Daily Horoscopes
You can find your daily horoscope from January
1, 1900 until December 31, 2049.
1. Press MENU.
2. Select
Topics .
3. Select Today for you .
4. Type a birth date (e.g.,
10-23-1957 ).
5. Press ENTER.
6. Type today’s date or another date.
7. Press ENTER.
Your horoscope for that day appears.
8. Press to read it.
9. Press CLEAR when done.
✓About Selecting Topics
When you select a topic, it remains se-
lected until you select a new one. A check
marks the selected topic on the menu.
The topic you selected may also appear
above
Topics when you press MENU.

Finding Famous Birthdays
Horoscopes lists the birth dates of more than 700
famous, twentieth century personalities (two per-
sonalities for each day of the year).
There are two
ways to find their birth dates.
Scanning the List of Names
1. Press MENU.
2. Select Topics .
3. Select
Famous birthdays .
4. Type a personality’s name (e.g. Prince ).
To erase a typed letter, press BACK.
5. Press ENTER when the name is high-
lighted.
To view the next or previous alphabetically
listed birthday, press NEXT or PREV.
6. Press BACK to return to the name list.
7. Press CLEAR when done.

✓Using Famous Birth Dates
Once you have found a famous
personality’s birth date, you can use it to
find personality profiles, test your compat-
ibility with him or her, or save it in your per-
sonal list for later use. To learn how, read
the other sections of this guide.

Finding Famous Birthdays

Using the Locate Menu
1. Press MENU.
2. Select Topics .
3. Select
Famous birthdays .
4. Select the Locate menu.
5. Select
Year , Month , or Day .
6. Type in a year, month, or day.
7. Press ENTER to select it.
Acheck marks the selected date. To deselect
the date, press ENTER when it is highlighted.
If you want to select a date from another cat-
egory (i.e., year, month, or day), press BACK
now, select a category, and then select a date.
8. Press to view the match(es).
9. Highlight a match and press ENTER to
view the whole birthday.
10. Press BACK to back up.
11. Press CLEAR to clear your selections.
✓About Bullets and Asterisks
On the Locate menu, bullets (●) indicate
selected categories. Double asterisks (✻✻)
indicate the dates that don’t match your
current selections.

Testing Compatibility
Are you or someone else compatible as a friend
or lover? Here is how to find out.
1. Press MENU.
2. Select
Topics .
3. Select Friends compatibility or Lovers
compatibility
from the Topics menu.
4. Enter the first person’s birth date.
You can enter a birth date from your Per-
sonal list or even the birth date of a famous
personality.
5. Enter the second person’s birth date.
6. Press
M for male or F for female to
indicate the second person’s gender.
7. Press to read the compatibility
description.
✓About Compatibility Descriptions
Compatibility descriptions begin with a dis-
cussion of the first person’s compatibility,
then discuss the second person’s, and fi-
nally describe their interactions. Thus the
beginning of the descriptions are based al-
most entirely on the first person’s birth date
horoscope and, therefore, will not change.

Saving Dates and Names
There are two ways to save a date so that you
do not have to enter it every time.
Using the Date Key
You can save one, frequently-used date by
typing the date at an entry screen and press-
ing DATE. Press ENTER to save it.
The next time you want to enter that date, sim-
ply press DATE. Your saved date appears on
the entry screen.
To clear the date you saved, press MENU and
select
Other . Then highlight Clear Date and
press ENTER.
✓Changing Dates at an Entry Screen
You can add or subtract a day to or from
any date appearing on an entry screen.
Type a date at an entry screen and press
NEXT or PREV.
NEXT and PREV can also be used with
your saved date. For example, if you save
today’s date using the DATE key (see
above), then you can recall it and press
NEXT to find your daily horoscope for a
week or so.

Saving Dates and Names

Using the Personal List
You can save up to 10 dates plus names or iden-
tifying words in your Personal list. Later, you can
retrieve those dates for finding horoscopes or
compatibility descriptions.
1. Press LIST.
2. Select Personal list .
3. Select
Add an entry to list .
4. Type a birth date followed by a name or
other identifying word (e.g.,
9-21-1969-
Becki
or 7-4-1941-Dad ).
You must type a hyphen after the year in
order to type names or words.
5. Press ENTER to add it to the list.
✓Retrieving and Deleting Dates
Once dates are saved in your Personal list,
you can retrieve them for use at any entry
screen by selecting
Personal list and then
List: X Entries , and then selecting a date.
To delete a date from the list, press LIST,
select
Delete an entry , and then select a
date. To delete all the dates from the Per-
sonal list, select
Erase the list and press Y.

Replacing the Battery: This product uses one CR2032, 3-
volt lithium battery. Should you need to replace the battery,
unscrew the screws on the back with a very fine screwdriver
and carefully remove the back cover. Then install a new bat-
tery, plus sign facing you, and replace the cover.
Cleaning, Storage, Problems: To clean, spray a mild glass
cleaner onto a cloth and wipe its surface. Do not spray liquids
