Order new filter cartridges through the
dealer where you bought the
refrigerator, or contact the Frigidaire
Consumer Assistance Center at 1-800-
944-9044. It might be good to order
some filters when you first install your
refrigerator. Be sure to ask for the RC-
200
PureSource Plus™
replacement
cartridge.

Changing the Filter:
Waterqualityvariesthroughout theworld. To ensurethehighestpossible
waterquality,changewater filterevery6months,or200gallons. Also,if
filterhasbeeninarefrigeratorthathasnot beeninuseforawhile(during
movingforexample),changefilter beforereinstallingrefrigerator. Note
dispensersystemwillalsooperatewithoutfiltration(withfiltercartridge
removed).
Tochangefilter:
Referto Figure1 asneeded.Itisnot necessarytoturnthewater supplyoff
tochangethefilter.
1.Set ice makerlever(wire signalarm)to theOFF(up) position.
2.Hold filtercup firmly,andunscrewcounterclockwise(Figure1).(Some
watercouldleakoutasyou removecup.Thisisnormal.) Filtercartridge
shouldcome down with cup. If cartridge remains in housing, pull down
gently,whiletwistingfilterbackandforth.
3. Empty cup of any substance.
4.Thelargeo-ring(Figure1)thatsealsthefiltersystemsetsintheo-ring
groovedowninsidethe cup.Should theo-ring falloutduringfilter
cartridgereplacement,simplyplace itback inthegroovepriorto
screwingthecupback in place. If theo-ringbecomesdamaged,youwill
need to order a new one from the Consumer Assistance Center.
5.Discardoldfiltercartridge.
6.Remove newfiltercartridge frompackaging,and install.
7.Placefiltercartridgeincup.Theendwith thesmall o-ringshould beup,
outofthe cup.
8. Screw cup, with filter, back onto housing. Do Not Use Wrench To
ReinstallCup.Filtercartridgewillself-alignascupistightened.Besure
cup is completely tightened with
PureSource Plus ™
Logo facing
outward. Do Not Tighten Past Stop.
9. Set ice maker level on the ON (down) position.
10.Checkforleaks. Open refrigeratordoor.Wipeany water drops fromthe
filtercup.Runaglassofwater.Ifthereisaleak,unscrewfiltercup,and
reinsertthefiltercartridge.CheckplacementoflargeO-ring(see
Figure1).Reinstallfiltercup,makingcertainitistightenedcompletely.
11.Tocondition filtersystemandpurgeair fromwaterline,runseveral
glassesofwaterthrough waterdispenser.Thiswillalsoassurethat the
purestwaterpossibleisstoredin watertank.
