1. BOX CONTENTS, FEATURES AND REQUIREMENTS
A320 Sidestick PRO OEM is a professional sidestick with proportional passive force feedback, availa-
ble for both Captain (SKU 200301) and First Ocer side (SKU 200302).
OEM lighter version with no enclosure and USB only interface (no LAN)
The FSC A320 SIDESTICK PRO OEM kit is composed by the following items:
- A320 Sidestick PRO OEM
- 1x 5m USB cable type A to B
- 24V 2A AC to DC Switching Adapter Power Supply
- 1x USB ash drive with the drivers bundle for : FS 2004, FSX, FSX-SE, Prepar3d v1.x/2.x/3.x/4.x
and X-Plane 9.7/10.x/11.x
- Installation & Operation Manual

2. HARDWARE INSTALLATION AND SETUP
2.1 HARDWARE CONNECTION
1. Connect the 24V power supply for Sidestick operation
2. Connect the Sidestick to a computer via USB
USB connection allows to guarantee the full compatibility with FSX/FSX-SE , P3D and X-Plane products.
2.2 AXIS CALIBRATION
Once connected, the unit is seen by the operative system as a standard joystick, which can be calibrated
through Windows Game device setup, as for any other joystick device.
2.3 AXIS AND BUTTON ASSIGNMENT IN CLIENT SIMULATOR
Axis and buttons can be assigned through the facilities supplied into client simulator and/or FSUIPC
(there is no dierence compared to other regular joystick devices)

2.4 SOFTWARE SETTINGS AND CALIBRATION
Generic Game Controller settings (to be calibrated before conguring FSUIPC or XPLANE)
- Plug the usb cable into PC. Press “START” menù and type “Joy.cpl”
- Click on “Properties” and calibrate

- Move axis from full left to full right and from full up to full down to calibrate and select “Display raw data”
- Press APPLY to save calibration

XPLANE : One Control AXIS
From “Settings” menu, select “Joystick, Keys & equipment”, select “axis” tab, move handle to discover
the axis, then assign it from the dropbox to “ roll” and “pitch”.
FSX/P3D ONLY : One control Axis for each Joystick, so You can have a double command one for CPT
and other for F/O.
FSX/P3D With FSUIPC: One control Axis for each Joystick, so You can have a double command one
for CPT and other for F/O.
From “add ons” menu, select “FSUIPC”, select “Axis assignment” tab, move the stick to discover the
axis, then under “type of action required” select the radio-button “send direct to FSUIPC calibration”,
select the axis to be assigned from dropbox menu. Repeat this procedure for pitch axis.

From “Joystick calibration” tab, select “Main Flight controls” page.
From “Ailerons(direct!)” move the stick to discover min,center & max values then press “Set” buttons to
conrm values. Repeat this procedure for Pitch axis.
Magenta FBW with XPLANE/FSX/P3d: Two separate Stick
From FBW main page press “Calibrate” move Stick to discover the axis.
Near the axis press “Sel” to select and calibrate.

Under the calibration page select “Assign” button to assign the Axis “Aileron” or “Ailrn F/O”
Aileron direction: rotating the handle left the “out” indicator must slide to the left, if not, select “Invert-
ed” (arrow 1).

Press “Recalibrate” (arrow 2) and move the handle left and right slowly to calibrate the axis.
Look at the input and output values (arrow 3): the “in” value above indicate the raw values from joystick
interface, the “out” value below indicates the calculated range of values to send to simulator according
to calibration ltered by “Aileron response Curve”.
Release the handle to center the Stick, and press “Set Center” (arrow 4)
How to change Response Curve:
Drag with mouse:
- “Null” (arrow 5) to change null zone value (right to enlarge)
- “Width”(arrow 6) for width zone
- “Max” (arrow 7) for % max excursion
- The Output Axis will move between “Null” and “Wdth”, with deection from 0% to “Max” % of calibrat-
ed value (arrow 3, “out”)
Then click:
- “Default” (arrow 8) for straight response,
- “Curve” (arrow 9) for progressive response (like in the picture)
- You can draw your own curve directly with your mouse pointer (arrow 10)
- To end calibration process, click “Lock Calibration” (arrow 11)

3. USING FSC AIRBUS DRIVER FOR SOLENOID AUTOPILOT FUNCTION
The Sidestick has a solenoid to lock the handle when the autopilot is engaged. By applying some degree
of additional force to the handle, the solenoid unlocks and the autopilot disconnects, allowing to continue
the ight “manually”.
The solenoid / autopilot function is provided through FSC Airbus driver, which is compatible with most
ight simulator client software and their add-ons. The driver is usually supplied in an USB key and doesn’t
need an installation: to use it, just copy the provided executable application anywhere on your hard drive
or onto the desktop, and run it directly from there.
3.1 USING THE AIRBUS DRIVER IN X-PLANE
In order to work as expected, the Airbus driver requires X-Plane and XPUIPC started in the following
sequence:
1. Start X-Plane, making sure that it loads also the XPUIPC plug-in as indicated below:
From the Plug-in Admin menu, XPUIPC/XPWideFS must be set as Enabled.
2. If the Sidestick is connected to a slave computer (say computer “B”) not running X-Plane, you
will have to run XPWideClient on computer B, conguring the IP address of the computer where
XPlane runs. The Airbus driver will be executed on computer B too.
For rst time use, XPWideClient needs to be congured in order to communicate with X-Plane.
In the sample shown above, XPWideClient is congured to communicate with X-Plane running
on the same computer where XPWideClient and the TQ driver are used (IP address of 127.0.0.1,
meaning “itself”).
XPWideClient is congured by directly editing its INI le by a text editor (for example, Windows
Notepad). Please consult the documentation shipped with XPWideClient to know how to edit its
INI le and congure it as required.
If the Sidestick is connected to the same computer where X-Plane runs, step 2 can be skipped.

3. Start the Airbus driver by running the provided executable
NOTE: to get XPUIPC, not supplied with this software, please visit http://www.tosi-online.de/
3.2 USING THE TQ IN FS9, FSX, ESP AND Prepar3D
In order to work properly, the TQ requires FSUIPC installed and registered into the client simulator soft-
ware that you would like to use. Most cockpit builders and general users already have FSUIPC installed
and registered because it is required by most add-ons. In case you don’t have it, you may buy a license
from simmarket.com
- Run the client simulator normally
- Make sure that no other hardware is sending pitch/roll input (check the axis / buttons assignment
of the client simulator and clear all the settings)
- Run the provided Airbus driver:
To access the conguration, use Device > Sidestick conguration...
The Airbus driver works by aircraft prole: it detects automatically the currently active aircraft in the
client simulator, and activate the latest saved conguration for such aircraft.

You can enable or disable selectively Captain’s or First Ocer’s sidestick, furthermore, you can specify
an oset from where the status of autopilot (engaged or disengaged) is read or set.
This lets the handle blocking function, via solenoid, to work accordingly to autopilot setting.
The default FSUIPC oset, working with most default and add-ons airplanes, is 07BC (bit 0).
You can customize it as needed, accordingly to the oset actually used by your client simulator.
3.3 USING THE SIDESTICK WITH AEROSOFT A320/321
In order to work properly, Aerosoft Airbus requires a specic autopilot oset address and a LUA le to be
loaded via FSUIPC.
- To access the Sidestick conguration, use Device > Sidestick conguration...
Make sure the oset address is set to 04F0
- Copy the supplied “FSC-Airbus-Sidestick.lua” in the same folder where FSUIPC is installed, for
example C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Modules.
Then, open FSUIPC4.INI (found in the same folder) and make sure the followings line exists:
[Auto]
1= FSC-Airbus-Sidestick.lua
(if you already use other LUA les that are loaded automatically once the simulator starts,
you will see them listed in the same section: in such case, just add FSC-Airbus-TQ as last
entry, respecting the order number in your INI le)
- Now you can start Aerosoft Airbus and enjoy the sidestick with fully operative solenoid locking
function.

4. INTEGRATING IN PROSIM - AR
4.1 SOFTWARE CONNECTION - SIDESTICK
The Sidestick must be connected to Prosim-AR with USB interface.
Set sidestick axis in conguration page, combined settings, Flight Controls, Lever:
Assign the Roll and Pitch axis as above, calibrate the min, max , center , and null zone.
Go to combined settings, Flight Controls, Switch:
Assign the red pushbutton over the stick to “Sidestick captain priority takeover pushed”.
Go to Autoight , indicator:
Assign the AP1 and AP2 value to FSUIPC 16 bit S 0x66C0 oset for locking solenoid activation.
66C0 is a custom free oset for personal use, if You are already using it You can assign another oest
from the free to use range, and change it in the Lua script.
Copy the lua script “FSC_A320_Prosim_AR.lua” in “modules “ folder of Your sim, then edit the FSUIPCx.
ini (where “x” could be “4” or “5”) and add these lines:
