Safety notes
Please follow the safety notes provided in the "Safety/Regulations" manual as well as the
safety notes given below.
When connecting and disconnecting cables, observe the relevant notes in this user
manual.
This device complies with the relevant safety regulations for data processing equipment. If you have
questions about using your device in a particular area, please contact your sales outlet or our
Hotline/Service Desk.
High Safety Required Use
This Product is designed, developed and manufactured for general use, including without limitation,
general office use, personal use, household use, and ordinary industrial use, but is not designed,
developed and manufactured for use accompanying fatal risks or dangers that, unless extremely
high safety is secured, could lead directly to death, personal injury, severe physical damage or other
loss (hereinafter “High Safety Required Use”), including without limitation, nuclear reaction control in
a nuclear facility, aircraft flight control, air traffic control, heavy transport logistics, medical life
support systems, missile launch control in weapon systems. You shall not use this Product without
securing the sufficient safety required for the High Safety Required Use.
Additional safety notes for devices with wireless
components
Your device is equipped with transmitter components. When handling your device, observe the
following safety notes:
•Switch off the device if you cannot rule out that the radio waves transmitted could affect other
electrical and electronic appliances in your vicinity, such as medical equipment, (distance from
heart pacemakers at least 8 in. or 20 cm), aircraft systems, or could cause an explosion or fire
(e.g. filling station, paint shop).

Health and safety
General
•This product is not intended to be used as a medial device.
•Do not disassemble or modify the product. Otherwise, the product could be damaged and
electrical shock or fire could occur. In such cases, Fujitsu shall bear no responsibility for any
damage incurred by the user.
•The device may only be connected to a freelyaccessible earthed/grounded AC outlet, the power
socket on the device must be freely accessible.
•No cables should be connected or disconnected during a thunderstorm.
•In emergencies, switch the device off immediately, disconnect the AC plug and inform your sales
outlet or the Fujitsu Service Desk.
•Use only the supplied/authorized AC adapters and/or power cables. If necessary, replace the
supplied power cable with an equivalent power cable which meets national regulations.
•The sensor unit is waterproof/dust proof. However, do not allow this device, its accessories or
optional devices to become wet or dusty. The AC adapter, Desktop charger and USB Cable are
not waterproof/dust proof.
Bluetooth devices
•This device is equipped with Bluetooth- compliant communication security features. The
effectiveness of these features depends upon various settings. Be aware of security risks during
Bluetooth communication.
•Fujitsu assumes no responsibility for any information that may be leaked during Bluetooth
communication.
Before using this device, check whether other radio stations are in operation in your
neighbourhood.
If radio interference occurs between this device and other radio equipment, use this device
in a different location, or turn the radio equipment off to stop the interference.
WARNING
•Do not place this device in fire or a heating or cooking appliance, such as a microwave oven or
high-pressure cooker.
•Do not throw the device, or subject it to excessive force or shock.
•Do not use cleaning sprays (that include flammable substances) to clean this product
•Avoid subjecting the product to strong impacts or drops. Damage to the product and serious
accidents such as fire or electrical shorts could occur.

•Do not store the product in environments that are subject to high temperature or high humidity,
or in locations that are subject to direct sunlight for long periods of time. Additionally, severe
changes in ambient temperature could result in internal condensation, which can cause the
product to malfunction.
•When charging is complete, be sure to remove the charging cable. Even if charging is not
complete, remove the cable when the required charging time has elapsed.
•Keep electrically conductive materials (metallic items, pencil lead, etc.) from coming in contact
with the sensor holes or charging terminal.
•If the device gives off a strange smell, overheats, or becomes discolored or deformed during
use, while charging or when stored, immediately perform the following.
- Remove the plug from the AC outlet.
- Turn this device off
•If the device becomes broken, be careful to avoid injury on broken or exposed parts.
•Do not look directly at the light emitted from the pulse sensor.
•This product includes a vibration function
CAUTION
•Do not leave this device or its accessories on an unstable or sloping surface.
•Children using this device or its accessories should be instructed in their proper operation and
supervised by an adult.
•Do not use the device if it is damaged.
•If part of the device is accidentally broken, do not allow any leaking liquid to contact eyes or
skin.
- Doing so may cause eye or skin complications. If the liquid gets into your eyes or mouth,
rinse with clean water and consult a doctor immediately.
•Using this device may cause itching, rashes, eczema or other symptoms, depending on the
user's physical condition. If skin problems occur, stop using this device immediately and consult
a doctor.
•Magnets generate magnetic fields that can damage items or cause technical malfunctions.
•Data on magnetic data storage devices (e.g. credit cards, EC cards or other magnetic stripe
cards) might be erased.
•The operation of pacemakers can be impaired.
•Measuring instruments may be affected.
•Keep this device away from items that are sensitive to magnetic fields.
•Observe the safety distances recommended by the manufacturers. For details, refer to the
manufacturer’s instructions.

Travelling with your device
Transporting the device
Protect the device from severe shocks and extreme temperatures
(e.g., direct sunlight in a car).
►Switch off the device.
►Unplug the AC adapter and all external devices from the power socket.
►Disconnect the AC adapter cable and the data cables for all external devices.
►To protect against damaging jolts and bumps, use a case to transport your device.
Cleaning the device
Do not clean any interior parts yourself; leave this job to a service technician.
Only use cleaning products designed for computers. Normal household cleaners and
polishes can damage the markings the paintwork or the device itself.
Please ensure that no liquid enters the device.

Unpacking and checking the device
Should you discover any damage that occurred during transportation, notify your local
sales outlet immediately!
►Unpack all the individual parts.
►Check your device for any visible damage which may have occurred during transportation.
You may need the packaging in the future, if you need to transport your device.
Selecting a location
S
Select a suitable location for the device before setting it up. Follow the instructions below
when doing so:
• Never place the device or the AC adapter on a heat-sensitive surface. The surface
could be damaged as a result.
•Never place the device on a soft surface (e.g. carpeting, upholstered furniture, bed).
This can result in damage caused by overheating.
•The underside of the device heats up during normal operation. Prolonged contact
with the skin may become unpleasant or even result in burns.
•Place the device on a stable, flat, non-slippery surface. Please note that the rubber
feet of the device may mark certain types of delicate surfaces.
•Do not expose the device to extreme environmental conditions. Protect the device
against dust, moisture and heat.

Forced shut down
►Keep the power button pressed for at least 10 seconds.
→The device will shut down. You can then restart it.
