A1 Popcorn Maker - Operating Instructions
1) Ensure that the internal surfaces of the machine and popping pot are clean. If not, please
clean using the supplied anti-bacterial spray and then clean water. Ensure that all surfaces
are dry before using the machine.
2) Plug the machine into a 13amp socket.
3) The machine has 3 switches along the underside of the cap. These switches are for:
I. Spot light and Warmer II. Stirrer III. Pot heater
4) Add approx 15ml (half of the smallest supplied scoop) of oil to the pot.
5) Switch ON the light and Warmer (I) and the Pot heater (III)
6) The pot should be allowed to pre-heat for approx 3-4 minutes with oil. Once the pot is hot,
steam will come from the pot. While the pot is heating, measure 1 of the large scoop (8oz)
of corn and 1 x 60ml scoop of either salt or sugar into a clean bowl and mix thoroughly.
7) When the pot is hot, open the lid (TAKE CARE the lid will become hot
during operation – oven mitts are recommended) and pour in the corn
and salt/sugar.
8) Switch ON the stirrer (II) so that the contents of the pot are
continuously rotated.
9) Popcorn will start to pop through the lid after 2-3 minutes.
10) When popping has finished (no more popping can be heard from the pot) switch OFF the
stirrer (II) and heater (III) and rotate the roller bar on the pot to pour out all of the remaining
popcorn.
11) Keep the heater switch (III) OFF if you are not making more popcorn straight away. Keep
the spot light and warmer (I) ON to keep the popcorn hot, dry and tasty.
12) Serve the popcorn using the scoop and bags provided. Each bag holds approx 2 scoops or
1oz.
13) To make more popcorn immediately, repeat steps 7 to 10.
