CONTRACT FOR HIRE
It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that all possible steps are taken to avoid injury or
damage to our equipment. Please ensure that the following safety instructions are followed:
22) This machine must be operated by a responsible adult, children should not be allowed to operate or
play with or near this machine. Children must NOT be allowed to serve their own popcorn from the
machine as the kettle and floor of the machine become extremely hot during operation.
23) Once the machine has been warmed up, DO NOT MOVE until it has fully cooled to minimise the risk of
burns from hot liquids.
24) If you are using the machine without the cart, please ensure that the surface the machine is positioned
on is stable and level.
25) Do not use the machine outdoors.
26) Do not Pop Corn without first adding oil to the pot (as the corn will burn)
27) Do not immerse any component of the machine in water
28) Do not leave the power cord hanging over the edge of a table or counter or in touch with any hot
surfaces.
29) Do not position the machine on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.

Please exercise extreme caution when unloading the popcorns as the kettle becomes very hot in
operation.

Food handling precautions
32) Keep yourself and clean and wear clean over clothing before handling food products
33) Always wash your hands thoroughly especially before handling food, after using the toilet, before
starting to server, after every break, after blowing your nose or after handling raw food. If hand washing
facilities are not available, please use the supplied anti-bacterial wipes.
34) Do not allow anyone to handle food who is suffering from an upset stomach
35) Do not smoke, eat or drink in any area where food is being prepared.
36) Do not cough or sneeze over the food
37) Make sure any cuts or sores are covered with a distinctively coloured wash proof dressing.
38) Keep pets away from areas where food is being prepared
39) Avoid all un-necessary handling of food, e.g. use tongs.
40) Clean as you go. Keep all equipment and surfaces clean
41) Provide plastic sacks or rubbish bins with lids for storage of waste
