which may be awkward to get hold of.
You won’t get the right fuzzy goodness without the right ICs. Note the N-1 suffix on the
LM386. You want these, not the N-3 or N-4 which are higher voltage-rated devices .

he power and signal pads on the PCB conform to
the FuzzDog Direct Connection format, so can be
paired with the appropriate daughterboard for quick
and easy offboard wiring.
Snap the small metal tag off the pots so they can be
mounted flush in the box.
Pots mount on the opposite side of the board to the other components.
he board has been designed to take
vertical-mount pots, but you can wire
in normal ones or use header pins to
attach them.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES will troubleshooting help
be offered if you h ve skipped this st ge. No exceptions.
Once you’ve finished the circuit it m kes sense to test is before
st rting on the switch nd LED wiring. It’ll cut down
troubleshooting time in the long run. If the circuit works t this
st ge, but it doesn’t once you wire up the switch - guess wh t?
You’ve prob bly m de mist ke with the switch.
Solder some nice, long lengths of wire to the bo rd connections for
9V, GND, IN nd OUT. Connect IN nd OUT to the j cks s shown.
Connect ll the GNDs together (twist them up nd dd sm ll
mount of solder to t ck it). Connect the b ttery + le d to the 9V
wire, s me method. Plug in. Go!
If it works, cr ck on nd do your switch wiring. If not... w m n. At
le st you know the problem is with the circuit. Find out why, get it
working, THEN worry bout the switch etc.

Wire it up (if using a daughterboard please refer to the relevant document)
Wiring shown bove will disconnect the b ttery when you remove the j ck
plug from the input, nd lso when DC plug is inserted.
The Bo rd GND connections don’t ll h ve to directly tt ch to the bo rd. You
c n run couple of wires from the DC connector, one to the bo rd, nother to
the IN j ck, then d isy ch in th t over to the OUT j ck.
It doesn’t m tter how they ll connect, s long s they do.
This circuit is st nd rd, Neg tive GND. Your power supply should be Tip
Neg tive / Sleeve Positive. Th t’s the s me s your st nd rd ped ls (Boss etc),
nd you c n s fely d isy-ch in your supply to this ped l.
