are familiar with the hazards involved and with the relevant regulations.
The device is designed according to safety class I. It may only be used when
connected to an earthed mains socket.
The power outlet of the weekday timer switch is equipped with a child lock. Only
when the prongs of a power plug are placed in both openings of the socket at the
same time will the mechanism release the opening.
Even so, be especially careful if children are around. Children cannot see the
dangers arising from the incorrect use of electrical devices. There is a risk of a
life-threatening electric shock!
The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children. Position the
product so it is out of the reach of children.
Do not carelessly leave the packaging material lying around since this may
become a dangerous toy for children.
Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental
drops, even from a low height.
b) Operation
The product may be used only in dry, enclosed indoor areas; it must not get damp
or wet! Never place the product in direct vicinity of a bathroom, shower, bathtub or

Getting Started, Use
Follow the safety instructions and the other information in this operation manual.
Plug the weekday timer switch into a regular earthed mains socket (wall socket).
☞Upon delivery, the internal NiMH battery securing the settings in case of power cut
(or when plugging the weekday switch timer) is empty.
The power supply for the LCD display is buffered with the NiMH, which can result in
non-optimal display contrast after start-up. After about 1-2 hours, the NiMH battery
should be charged to the extent that the display contrast has become normal.
The NiMH battery is fully charged after about 20 hours; when unplugging the week-
day timer switch from the mains voltage (e.g. during storage), the settings / program-
ming is maintained at full charge for about max. 10 months.
Setting the time
The weekday switch timer must be in the time display mode. Briefly press the “MENU” button
several times, until the desired time function appears.
☞Important
Always set the winter time (even during summer). Summer time can then be acti-
vated by pressing the respective button, see next chapter “Switching between sum-
mer and winter time”.
Keep the “OK” button pressed for about 4 seconds until the day of the week flashes on the
top of the display.
Set the weekday with the “+1” or “-1” button and then briefly press the “OK” button.
The hour display starts flashing; set the hours with the “+1” or “-1” button (keep the respective
button pressed down for quick setting).

Switching between summer and winter time
The weekday switch timer must be in the time display mode. Briefly press the “MENU” button
several times, until the desired time function appears.
Press the counter-sunk “RCL” button briefly e.g. with a toothpick. This will switch between
summer and winter time
☞When summer time is activated, “+1” will appear at the bottom of the display.
Keep in mind that the switch on/off times are delayed when summer time is acti-
vated. That means that the device is switched on and off at the programmed times
(winter time) and not at the time displayed by the clock (summer time).
Programming of switching on/off times
In order to open the programming mode, briefly press the “MENU” button when the time is
displayed.
The first switch on time of the first program group appears in the display, “PROG” is shown in
the bottom left of the display and “1 ON” flashes (switch on time for program group 1).
☞A program group always consists of a switch on time and a switch off time that must
be programmed one after the other.
If you have only programmed a switch on time by accident, the connected device will
not be switched off until another program group is activated.
Therefore you should always program the switch on time first and then the respec-
tive switch off time (e.g. for program group “1 ON”: Switch on at 07:00, program
group “1 OFF”: Switch off at 08:00)
The number in the displays shows the current program group, “ON” stands for switch on time
and “OFF” for switch off time.
Use the “+1” or “-1” button to select one program group after another and their respective
switch on/off times. For a quick adjustment, hold the corresponding button for a longer period
of time.
1 ON <-> 1 OFF <-> 2 ON <-> 2 OFF........16 ON <-> 16 OFF <-> 1 ON <-> .....
When the program group you want to set (e.g. program group “3 ON”) is shown in the bottom
left of the display, briefly press the “OK” button.
The day of the week (or a combination of several days) for which the program group is in-
tended now flashes in the top of the display. Select the desired combination (or an individual
day) using the “+1” or “-1” button. Quick adjustment is possible by keeping the respective
button “+1” or “-1” pressed for a longer period of time.

Maintenance and Cleaning
The product does not require maintenance. The product contains no parts that require servi-
cing. Therefore, do not open/dismantle it. Maintenance or repairs may only be performed by
qualified personnel or a specialised repair shop.
Before cleaning, disconnect the weekday switch timer from the power supply. To do this,
pull it completely out of the mains socket (the wall socket). All settings are saved due to the
integrated NiMH battery.
Use a clean, dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Do not press too hard on the display; this can lead to
scratches and could also cause damage to the display and touchscreen!
Dust can easily be removed using a clean, soft and long-bristled brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions,
since these could damage the housing or even impair operation.
Disposal
Dispose of the unserviceable product according to the relevant statutory regulations!
