short-circuit each other or be short-circuited by conductive
materials. When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other
metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small
metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to
another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or
a fire.
c) Do not expose battery pack to heat or fire. Avoid storage in
direct sunlight.
d) Do not subject battery pack to mechanical shock.
e) In the event of battery leaking, do not allow the liquid to
come into contact with the skin or eyes. If contact has been
made, wash the affected area with copious amounts of water
and seek medical advice.
f) Seek medical advice immediately if a cell or battery pack has
been swallowed.
g) Keep battery pack clean and dry.
h) Wipe the battery pack terminals with a clean dry cloth if they
become dirty.
i) Battery pack needs to be charged before use. Always refer to
the battery manufacturer’s instruction manual and use the
correct charging procedure.

charge and discharge the battery pack several times to obtain
maximum performance.
l) Battery pack gives its best performance when it is operated
at normal room temperature (20 °C ± 5 °C).
m) When disposing of battery packs, keep battery packs of
different electrochemical systems separate from each other.

onto stable wooden boards, wall or fencing as
appropriate. (See Fig B1)
WARNING: Whilst it is recommended to
install the battery stand (1) in a dry and
weather protected area, if installing the
battery stand (1) in an open unprotected area, don’t fix the
battery stand onto a surface where the angle to the ground is
more than 60 degrees, as when placed on this angle there will be
no water ingress into the battery stand (1). (See Fig B2)

You must connect the DC power supply via the correct polarities;
incorrect connection may damage the pump.(Never modify the battery
stand)
Make sure the lithium-ion battery is connected correctly.
Install the outlet pipe accordingly.
Make sure the pump is more than 30cm above the earth, to avoid
suction of any solid impurities.
4.1 Priming the pump
When placing the pump in the water to be pumped, bubbles should be
seen coming from the breather hole (14) on the side of the pump.
This is to ensure the pump is fully primed.
In the case where water is added after the pump is installed, the priming
operation will occur automatically through the breather hole (14).
IMPORTANT: It is important the outlet of the pump is NOT immersed
in a pond or tank etc, if it is higher than the pump. Otherwise, when
the pump stops, the above water reserve will siphon back through the
pump. Always leave an air break on the drainage pipe into the drain
area.
NOTE: Never pump high viscosity liquids, such as mud, sludge, or oily
water. It is recommended to install the battery stand (1) in a dry and
weather protected area.
4.2 Switching on and off
1. To switch on, depress the on/off switch (5) to “I” .(See Fig E1)
2. To switch off, depress the on/off switch (5) to “O”.(See Fig E2)

4.3 Reset Button
1. During operation, if the pump goes into overload ( where there is
a blockage, or impurities have entered the pump filter vents, or the
impeller operation is impeded) the pump will automatically stop and
the re-set button on the battery stand (1) will activate and pop up.
2. If this occurs, the impurity or blockage needs to be removed.
3. First remove the battery (11) from the battery stand (1) so there is no
power to the unit.
4. Check the filter (3) /vents. Remove / clear any obstruction. (See Fig
F1)
5. If the blockage is not in the filter, then the blade needs to be
checked. Unscrew the three screws (using a philips head screwdriver
- not supplied) and remove the filter to check the impeller. Remove /
clear any obstruction. (See Fig F2)
6. Re-assemble the filter.
7. Insert the battery (11) into the battery stand (1) and press the
re-set button (6). If the blockage has been removed, the pump
will commence operation. If this does not occur and pump is not
functioning, please seek further advise from Customer Service on

battery stand (1) before performing maintenance or cleaning tasks.
Clean the pump housing or battery stand (1) housing with a damp cloth.
DO NOT use solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Plastics are susceptible
to damage from various types of commercial solvents and may be
damaged by their use. Use a clean cloth to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease
etc, then dry well.
If the Pump becomes blocked, remove the outlet fitting and remove the
blockage if possible. If the blockage is on the input side, the 3 screws
retaining the base can be removed to remove the base and cover. Clear
the blockage from the impeller. Then replace the cover and base and the
3 assembly screws.
Battery Maintenance
To maintain battery capacity, always refer to the specific instructions
in the supplied manual included with the purchase of ALDI Xfinity Plus
