This air conditioner must be properly
installed in accordance with die Installation
h_structions before it is used.
Nexer unplng your air conditioner by pulling
on the power cord. Always gxip plug firmly
and pull straight out from tile receptacle.
Replace immediamly all electric service
cords fllat have become flayed or otherwise
damaged. A damaged power supply cord
nmst be replaced with a new power supply
cord obtained flom tile manufactmer and
not repaired. Do not use a cord that shows
cracks or abrasion damage along its length
or at eifller file plug or connector end.

which under federal law must be remoxed
prior to product disposal. If you are getting
rid of an old product with refligerants, check
with tile company handling disposal about
what to do.
HOWTOCONNECTELECTRICITY
Do not, under any circumstances, cut or remove
the third (ground) prong from the power cord. For
personal safe_ this appliance must be properly
grounded.
The power cord of dfis appliance is equipped
with a 3-prong (grounding) ping which mates
with a standard 3-prong (grounding) wall
outlet m minimize tim possibility of electric
shock hazard flom this appliance.
Power cold includes a cmxent intemq)ter
device. A rest and reset button is provided
on the plug case. The device should be tesmd
on a periodic basis by first pressing tile TEST
button and then the RESETbutmn. If the TEST
button does not trip or if tile RESETbutton
will not stay engv%_ed, discontinue use of tile
air conditioner and contact a qualified
service technician.
Where a 9-prong wall oudet is encountered,
it is your persona] responsibility and obligation
to haxe it replaced with a properly grounded
3-prong wall outlet.
Tile air conditioner should ahvays be
plug\g_d into its own individual electrical
outlet which has a xoltag_ rating fllat matches
tile rating plato.
This provides tile best perfommnce and also
prments oxerloading house wiring circuits
which could cause a fire hazard from
oxerheated wires.

Haxe the wall oudet and circuit checked by a
qualified electrician to make sure tile outlet is
properly grounded.
