IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION.
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.
■ Use this appliance only for its intended
purpose as described in this Owner’s
Manual.
■ This portable air conditioner must be
properly installed as described in this
manual before it is used.
■ Never unplug your portable air
conditioner by pulling on the power cord.
Always grip plug firmly and pull straight
out from the receptacle.
■ Repair or replace immediately all electric
service cords that have become frayed
or otherwise damaged. Do not use a cord
that shows cracks or abrasion damage
along its length or at either the plug or
connector end.
■ Turn the portable air conditioner OFF and
unplug it before cleaning.
NOTE: We strongly recommend that any
servicing be performed by a qualified
individual.
■ For your safety, do not store or use
combustible materials, gasoline or other
flammable vapors or liquids in the vicinity
of this or any other appliance.
■ All air conditioners contain refrigerants,
which under federal law must be removed
prior to product disposal. If you are getting
rid of an old product with refrigerants,
check with the company handling disposal
about what to do.
When using this portable air conditioner, always follow basic safety precautions, including the following:
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Do not, under any circumstances, cut or remove
the third (ground) prong from the power cord.
For personal safety, this appliance must be
properly grounded.
Use a 15 amp time delay fuse or circuit breaker.
The power cord of this appliance is equipped
with a 3-prong (grounding) plug which mates
with a standard 3-prong (grounding) wall
outlet to minimize the possibility of electric
shock hazard from this appliance.
Have the wall outlet and circuit checked by a
qualified electrician to make sure the outlet is
properly grounded.
Where a 2-prong wall outlet is encountered,
it is your personal responsibility and obligation
to have it replaced with a properly grounded
3-prong wall outlet.
The air conditioner should always be
plugged into its own individual electrical
outlet, which has a voltage rating matching
the rating plate.
This provides the best performance and also
prevents overloading house wiring circuits,
which could cause a fire hazard from
overheated wires.

Because of potential safety hazards under
certain conditions, we strongly recommend
against the use of an adapter plug.
However, if you must use an adapter,
where local codes permit, a temporary
connection may be made to a properly
grounded 2-prong wall outlet by use of
a UL-listed adapter available at most
local hardware stores.
The larger slot in the adapter must be
aligned with the larger slot in the wall
outlet to provide proper polarity in the
connection of the power cord.
When disconnecting the power cord from
the adapter, always hold the adapter in place
with one hand while pulling the power cord
plug with the other hand. If this is not done,
the adapter ground terminal is very likely to
break with repeated use.
If the adapter ground terminal breaks,
DO NOT USE the air conditioner until a
proper ground has been established.
Attaching the adapter ground terminal to a wall
outlet cover screw does not ground the appliance
unless the cover screw is metal, not insulated, and
the wall outlet is grounded through the house wiring.
You should have the circuit checked by a qualified
electrician to make sure the outlet is properly
grounded.

Because of potential safety hazards under
certain conditions, we strongly recommend

cord, it is absolutely necessary that it be
a UL-listed, 14 gauge, 3-wire grounding
type appliance extension cord having a

the electrical rating of the cord be

About the controls on the air conditioner.
Controls
ON/OFF Pad
Turns the air conditioner on and off.
Display
Shows the room temperature. Also shows the
set temperature while setting the temperature
in COOL mode or the set time while setting
TIMER ON or TIMER OFF.
NOTE: The display will change to show the
room temperature after settings have been
made. To recall the set cooling temperature,
press the or pad. To recall the timer
setting, press the TIMER ON pad or the TIMER
OFF pad for the timer that is set.
MODE
Use to set the air conditioner to COOL, DRY
or FAN mode.
Increase /Decrease Pads
Use to set temperature when in COOL mode
or to set a time with the timer feature.
FAN Pad
Use to set the fan speed to LOW, MEDIUM or HIGH.
CIRCULAIRE
Turn on to provide continuous side-to-side
air circulation.
For fixed side-to-side air direction, turn on
until the desired air direction is obtained,
then turn it off.
TIMER Pad
ON—The air conditioner can be set to
automatically come on in 1/2 (0.5) to 24 hours
at its previous setting. The unit must be on
while setting TIMER ON.
1. Press the POWER (ON/OFF) pad.
2. Press the TIMER ON pad. The TIMER ON
light will blink.
3. Press the or pad to set the desired
time for the unit to start. (Each time you
touch the or pads, the set time will
advance by 30 minutes between 0 and 10 hours
and by one hour between 10 and 24 hours.)
4. Press the TIMER ON pad again to start the timer.
5. Press the POWER (ON/OFF) pad to turn the
unit off.

OFF—When the air conditioner is on, it can
be set to automatically turn off in 1/2 (0.5)
to 24 hours.
1. Press the TIMER OFF pad. The TIMER OFF
light will blink.
2. Press the or pad to set the desired
time for the unit to stop. (Each time you
touch the or pads, the set time will
advance by 30 minutes between 0 and 10
hours and by one hour between 10 and 24
hours.)
3. Press the TIMER OFF pad again to start
the timer.
After settings have been made, the display will
change back to show the room temperature.
NOTE: Both timers may be set, in combination,
to turn the unit on and off as desired.
To cancel the timer, press and hold the TIMER
ON or TIMER OFF pad (depending on the
timer(s) set) until its indicator light goes off.

Water Full Indicator Light
When the Water Full Indicator Light begins
blinking, the unit has reached maximum
water collection level.
If water level does not lower in 40 minutes,
the unit will power off and it must be
manually drained.
1. Unplug the power cord and roll the unit
to a drain or outside.
2. Pull out the drain cap from the back
bottom edge and allow water to drain
from the unit.
3. Replace the drain cap and put the unit
back into operation.
NOTE: The unit is designed to automatically
evaporate water collected in normal settings.
However, in very humid settings, the unit may
occasionally need to be drained.

The display will always default to show the
room temperature.
When the air conditioner is turned on, it will
automatically start in the last mode and fan settings
selected.
COOL Mode
Use the COOL mode for cooling.
To set the COOL mode:
1. Press the MODE pad until the COOL indicator
light is lit.
2. Press the FAN pad to set HIGH, MEDIUM or LOW
fan speed.
3. Press or to set the desired temperature
between 64°F and 90°F in 1°F increments.
After settings have been made, the display will
change back to show the room temperature.
The temperature control is used to maintain the
room temperature. The compressor will cycle on
and off to keep the room at the set level of comfort.
Set the temperature control at a lower number
and the indoor air will become cooler. Set the
temperature control at a higher number and the
indoor air will become warmer.
NOTE: If the air conditioner is off and is then turned on
while set to COOL, it will take approximately 3 minutes
for the compressor to start and cooling to begin.
Cooling Descriptions
For Normal Cooling—Select the COOL mode and
HIGH or MEDIUM fan speed with a middle set
temperature.
For Maximum Cooling—Select the COOL mode
and HIGH fan speed with a lower set temperature.
For Quieter & Nighttime Cooling—Select the COOL
mode and LOW fan speed with a middle set
temperature.
NOTE: If you switch from a COOL setting to OFF or to
a fan setting, wait at least 3 minutes before switching
back to a COOL setting.
FAN Mode
Use the FAN mode to provide air circulation and
filtering without cooling.
To set the FAN mode:
•Press the FAN pad until the desired indicator light
for HIGH, MEDIUM or LOW fan speed is lit.
Since fan only settings do not provide cooling, a set
temperature will not be displayed. After FAN speed
has been set, the display will change back to show
the room temperature.
DRY Mode—Dehumidification
Use the DRY mode to provide dehumidification
only. The fan will run at a fixed speed at this setting,
so a fan speed cannot be set. Keep windows and
doors closed for the best dehumidifying effects.
The exhaust hose must be attached to the unit
when using the DRY mode.
To set the DRY mode:
•Press the MODE pad until the DRY indicator light
is lit.
In the DRY mode, a set temperature will not be
displayed. After DRY mode has been set, the display
will change back to show the room temperature.
NOTE: If you switch from a DRY setting to OFF or to a
fan setting, wait at least 3 minutes before switching
back to a DRY setting.
If using the unit in the DRY mode for an extended time:
1. Unplug the power cord.
2. Roll the unit so that its drain nozzle is located over
a floor drain and pull out the drain cap from the
back bottom edge. A water hose (not included)
may also be attached to the nozzle and led to a
floor drain. Reconnect the power cord.
3. Press the MODE pad until the DRY indicator light
is lit.

Power Outage Recovery Feature
In the case of a power outage or interruption, the
unit will automatically re-start in the settings last
used after the power is restored.
NOTE: If the TIMER was set before the power outage,
it will need to be reset after power is restored.

Care and cleaning of the air conditioner.
Turn the air conditioner off and remove the plug from the wall outlet before cleaning.
Case
To clean the case:
Use water and a mild detergent. Do not use
bleach or abrasives.
Air Filter
The air filter is on the back of the air conditioner.
It should be checked and cleaned at least every
30 days or more often if necessary.
NOTE: DO NOT put the filter in an automatic dishwasher.
CAUTION: DO NOT operate the air
conditioner without the filter because dirt and lint will
clog it and reduce performance.
To remove:
Grasp the tab and gently pull the filter up and out.
Wash it in warm soapy water. Rinse and let the filter
dry before replacing it.
Drainage/Routine Maintenance
This air conditioner produces water during normal
operation. The unit should be drained if it is not
going to be run for an extended period of time.
The unit should also be drained prior to storage
at the end of the cooling season.
To drain the unit, follow the instructions below:
1. Unplug the power cord and roll the unit to a
drain or outside.
2. Pull out the drain cap and allow water
to drain from the unit.
3. Securely replace the drain cap.

Remote Control
To replace the battery:
1. Slide the battery cover open on the back edge
of the remote control.
2. Insert new battery, making sure that the + is
toward the bottom of the remote control.
3. Slide the cover back into position.
NOTES: Replace with a lithium CR2025 battery.
Remove the battery from the remote control if the
system is not going to be used for a long time.
■ To ensure proper operation, aim the remote
control at the signal receiver on the air conditioner.
■ The remote control signal has a range of up
to 21 feet.
■ Make sure nothing is between the air conditioner
and the remote control that could block the signal.

CHOOSE A LOCATION
• Place the air conditioner on a smooth,
level floor strong enough to support
the unit.
• Allow at least 12 inches (30 cm) of air
space on all sides of the unit for good
air circulation.
• Place the unit in an area where the
temperature will not fall below 65°F
(18°C). The coils can become covered
with frost at temperatures below 65°F,
which may reduce performance.
NOTE: The portable air conditioner has rollers
to aid placement, but it should only be rolled
on smooth, flat surfaces. Do not attempt to
roll the portable air conditioner on carpet or
over objects.

IN A DOUBLE HUNG WINDOW
To allow the window to close properly
around the adjustable window slider,
attach a piece of wood to the sill at the
back of the window stool.
WOOD PIECE–
WIDTH: 1″
LENGTH: Long enough to fit inside the
window frame.
THICKNESS: To determine the thickness,
place a piece of wood on the sill behind
the window stool to make it the same
height as the stool.
Attach securely with nails or screws
provided by the installer.
Cut the window sash seal (adhesive-
backed) to the window width and stick the
adhesive side to the bottom of the sash.
Cut the window stool seal (non-adhesive
backed) to the window width and place
on the window stool.

width of the window, pull the sliding arm
out to the width of the window.
If the window slider is longer than the
width of the window, cut the slider arm
to the width of the window.
If the two-piece window slider is too short
for the width of the window, attach and

INFORMACIÓN IMPORTANTE DE SEGURIDAD.
LEA TODAS LAS INSTRUCCIONES ANTES DE USAR.
■ Use este electrodoméstico solamente para
el propósito determinado según se describe
en este Manual del propietario.
■ Este acondicionador de aire portátil debe
instalarse correctamente de acuerdo con
las instrucciones de este manual antes de
su uso.
■ Nunca desenchufe su acondicionador de
aire portátil tirando del cable eléctrico.
Siempre agarre firmemente el enchufe y tire
de él directamente hacia afuera.
■ Repare o reemplace inmediatamente todos
los cables eléctricos que se hayan pelado o
que se hayan dañado de alguna otra manera.
No use un cable eléctrico que muestre
evidencias de deterioro, o daños de abrasión
en su superficie en alguno de sus extremos.
■ Apague el control y desenchufe su
acondicionador de aire portátil antes
de limpiar.
NOTA: Recomendamos enérgicamente que
cualquier servicio llevado a cabo en este
equipo lo realice un individuo calificado.
■ Por su seguridad, no almacene ni use
materiales combustibles, gasolina u otros
vapores o líquidos inflamables en la
proximidad de éste o algún otro
electrodoméstico.
■ Todos los acondicionadores de aire
contienen refrigerantes, los cuales se deben
evacuar antes de desechar el producto de
acuerdo con la ley federal. Si va a desechar
algún aparato antiguo con refrigerante,
consulte con la compañía a cargo de
evacuar el aparato, asegúrese de hacerlo
adecuadamente.
Al usar este acondicionador de aire portátil, se deben seguir precauciones básicas de seguridad,
incluyendo las siguientes:
PRECAUCIONES DE SEGURIDAD
Bajo ninguna circunstancia, corte o remueva la
tercera púa (tierra) del cable eléctrico. En pos
de la seguridad personal, este electrodoméstico
debe siempre conectarse a tierra.
Use un fusible de demora de 15 amperios o
un interruptor de circuitos.
El cable eléctrico de este electrodoméstico está
equipado con un enchufe de tres púas (tierra)
que combina con un tomacorriente estándar
de tres tomas de pared para minimizar la
posibilidad de una descarga eléctrica.
Pida a un técnico que inspeccione el
tomacorriente y el circuito para cerciorarse
de que el tomacorriente está conectado a
tierra de la manera apropiada.
Donde exista un tomacorriente de dos tomas,
es su responsabilidad y obligación personal
hacer que dicho tomacorriente sea
reemplazado por uno de tres tomas con
conexión a tierra.
El acondicionador de aire debería siempre
estar conectado a un tomacorriente individual
con su circuito de voltaje correspondiente.
Esto proporciona el mayor rendimiento y
además evita que los circuitos del resto de
la casa se sobrecarguen, lo cual podría causar
incendios por el sobrecalentamiento
del cableado.

Debido al potencial de riesgos de seguridad
bajo ciertas condiciones, enérgicamente
recomendamos en contra del uso de enchufes
adaptadores.
Sin embargo, si usted se ve en la necesidad
de usar un adaptador, donde los códigos
legales locales lo permitan, puede hacer una
conexión temporal a un interruptor de 2
tomas siempre que se use un tomacorriente
listado UL disponible en la mayoría de las
ferreterías.
La ranura mayor en el adaptador debe estar
alineada con la púa mayor en la pared para
proporcionar una polaridad apropiada en la
conexión del cable eléctrico.
Cuando se disponga a desconectar el cable
eléctrico del adaptador, siempre sostenga
el adaptador en su lugar con una mano
mientras tira del cable eléctrico con la otra
mano. Si no hace esto, la terminal de tierra
del adaptador podría romperse después de
que este proceso se repita varias veces.
Si la terminal de conexión a tierra
del adaptador se rompe, NO USE el
acondicionador de aire hasta que la
conexión a tierra se haya restablecido.
Unir el terminal de conexión a tierra del adaptador
a un tornillo de la cubierta en la pared no conecta
a tierra el electrodoméstico apropiadamente a no
ser que el tornillo de la cubierta sea metálico y no
esté aislado, y el tomacorriente de la casa esté
apropiadamente conectado a tierra a través del
cableado de la casa. Haga que un técnico calificado
inspeccione el circuito de la casa para cerciorarse
que está conectado a tierra apropiadamente.

Debido al potencial de riesgos de seguridad
bajo ciertas condiciones, enérgicamente
recomendamos en contra del uso de cables
de extensión.
Sin embargo, si usted se ve en la necesidad
de usar un cable eléctrico de extensión, es
absolutamente necesario que el mismo esté
listado bajo UL, sea calibre 14, del tipo
de 3 tomas con conexión a tierra para
electrodomésticos y el índice eléctrico debe
ser de 15 amperios (mínimo) y 125 voltios.

ON/OFF (ENCENDIDO/APAGADO)
Apaga y prende el acondicionador de aire.
Pantalla
Indica la temperatura ambiente. También
señala la temperatura programada mientras se
ajusta la temperatura en el modo COOL (FRÍO) o
la hora programada mientras se ajusta TIMER
ON (SINCRONIZADOR ENCENDIDO) o TIMER OFF
(SINCRONIZADOR APAGADO).
NOTA: La temperatura ambiente se verá de
nuevo en la pantalla después de que se hayan
establecido las configuraciones. Para volver a ver
la temperatura de enfriamiento programada,
presione la tecla o . Para volver a ver el
ajuste programado del sincronizador, presione
la tecla TIMER ON o la tecla TIMER OFF.
MODE (MODO)
Usado para ajustar el acondicionador de aire al
modo COOL (FRÍO), DRY (SECO) o FAN (VENTILADOR).
Teclas de Aumentar /Reducir
Usado para ajustar la temperatura cuando
se encuentre en el modo COOL (FRÍO) o para
programar una hora programada con la
característica de sincronizador.
FAN (VENTILADOR)
Usado para ajustar la velocidad del ventilador a
LOW (BAJO), MEDIUM (MEDIANO) oHIGH (ALTO).
CIRCULAIRE
Para proporcionar circulación de aire continua
de lado a lado, ajuste el interruptor de
Circulaire en ON (ENCENDIDO).
Para lograr circulación de aire fija de lado
a lado, coloque en encendido hasta que
la circulación de aire deseada sea lograda,
luego coloque en apagado.
TIMER (SINCRONIZADOR)
ON (ENCENDIDO)—El acondicionador de
aire puede ajustarse para que se encienda
automáticamente dentro de 1/2 (0,5) a 24 horas
en el nivel previo. La unidad debe estar encendido
durante la programación de TIMER ON.
1. Presione la tecla POWER (ON/OFF).
2. Presione la tecla TIMER ON. La luz de TIMER
ON comenzará a destellar.
3. Presione la tecla o para programar
la hora en que desee que la unidad comience
a funcionar. (Cada vez que usted toque
las teclas o , la hora programada
avanzará por 30 minutos entre 0 y 10 horas
y por una hora entre 10 y 24 horas.)
TIMER (SINCRONIZADOR)
4. Presione de nuevo la tecla TIMER ON para poner
en funcionamiento el sincronizador.
5. Presione la tecla POWER (ON/OFF) para apagar
la unidad.
OFF (APAGADO)—Cuando el acondicionador de
aire está encendido, puede ajustarse para que se
apague automáticamente dentro de 1/2 (0,5) a
24 horas.
1. Presione la tecla TIMER OFF. La luz de TIMER
OFF comenzará a destellar.
2. Presione la tecla o para programar la
hora en que desee que la unidad se detenga.
(Cada vez que usted toque las teclas o ,

3. Presione de nuevo la tecla TIMER OFF para
poner en funcionamiento el sincronizador.
Después de ingresadas las configuraciones, la
pantalla volverá a indicar la temperatura ambiente.
NOTA: Ambos sincronizadores pueden
programarse, en combinación, para encender y
apagar la unidad de acuerdo con su deseo.
Para cancelar el sincronizador, presione y
sostenga la tecla TIMER ON o TIMER OFF (según
la configuración del sincronizador) hasta que
la luz indicadora se apague.

Cuando la luz indicadora de llenado de agua
comienza a destellar, la unidad ha alcanzado
el nivel máximo de llenado de agua.
Si el nivel de agua no desciende a los 40
minutos, la unidad se apagará y ésta deberá
vaciarse en forma manual.
1. Desenchufe la unidad y llévela a un lugar en
donde pueda vaciarla (una rejilla de desagüe
o el exterior).
2. Retire la tapa de desagüe del lado inferior
trasero y deje drenar el agua de la unidad.
3. Vuelva a colocar la tapa de desagüe y
encienda la unidad.
NOTA: La unidad está diseñada para evaporar
automáticamente el agua que se haya
acumulado en configuraciones normales. Sin
embargo, en lugares muy húmedos se deberá
drenar el agua de la unidad de vez en cuando.
