When using this dehumidifier, always follow basic safety precautions, including the following:
ŶUse this appliance only for its intended
purpose as described in this Owner’s Manual.
ŶThis dehumidifier must be properly installed
and grounded as described
in this manual before it is used.
ŶNever operate this dehumidifier in an area
that is likely to accumulate standing water.
If this condition develops, for your safety
disconnect the power supply before stepping
into the water.
ŶNever unplug your dehumidifier by pulling on
the power cord. Always grip plug firmly and
pull straight out from the receptacle.
ŶReplace immediately all electric service
cords that have become frayed or otherwise
damaged. A damaged power supply cord
must be replaced with a new power supply
cord obtained from the manufacturer and not
repaired. Do not use a cord that shows cracks
or abrasion damage along its length or at
either the plug or connector end.
ŶIf the receptacle does not match the plug,
the receptacle must be changed out by a
qualified electrician
ŶTurn the dehumidifier OFF and unplug it
before cleaning.
ŶGE does not support any servicing of
the dehumidifier. We strongly recommend
that you do not attempt to service the
dehumidifier yourself.
ŶFor your safety, do not store or use
combustible materials, gasoline or other
flammable vapors or liquids in the vicinity
of this or any other appliance.
ŶAll dehumidifiers contain refrigerants, which
under federal law must be removed prior to
product disposal. If you are getting rid of an
old product with refrigerants, check with the
company handling disposal about what to
do.
ŶDo not use outdoors.
ŶThis dehumidifier is intended for
indoor residential applications only.
This dehumidifier should not be used
for commercial or industrial applications.
ŶThese R410A Dehumidifier Systems require
contractors and technicians to use tools,
equipment and safety standards approved
for use with this refrigerant. DO NOT use
equipment certified for R22 refrigerant only.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Do not, under any circumstances, cut or remove
the third (ground) prong from the power cord.
For personal safety, this appliance must be properly
grounded.
DO NOT use an adapter plug with this appliance.
The power cord of this appliance is equipped
with a 3-prong (grounding) plug which mates
with a standard 3-prong (grounding) wall outlet
to minimize the possibility of electric
shock hazard from this appliance.
Have the wall outlet and circuit checked by a
qualified electrician to make sure the outlet is
properly grounded.
Where a 2-prong wall outlet is encountered,
it is your personal responsibility and obligation to
have it replaced with a properly grounded
3-prong wall outlet.
The dehumidifier should always be
plugged into its own individual electrical
outlet, which has a voltage rating matching
the rating plate.
This provides the best performance and also
prevents overloading house wiring circuits, which
could cause a fire hazard from overheated wires.

USE OF EXTENSION CORDS

NOTE: When the bucket is full or removed, the
controls cannot be set.
Power Pad
Press to turn the dehumidifier on and off.
Filter Timer
After 250 hours of operation, the Clean the Filter
indicator light will glow to remind you to clean
the filter. Remove the filter and clean it.
Press to turn off the Clean the Filter light. See
the Care and Cleaning section.
Humidity Set Control Pads
The humidity level can be set within a range of
35% RH (Relative Humidity) to 80% RH (Relative
Humidity) in 5% increments or at CO for
continuous operation. To set the unit for
continuous operation, press the źpad until
the screen reads CO.
NOTE: If CO (Continuous) is selected, the
dehumidifier will operate continuously at
its maximum dehumidification settings if
attached to a hose to drain or until the bucket
is full.
For drier air, press the źpad and set to
a lower percent value (%).
For damper air, press the Ÿpad and set
to a higher percent value (%).
When you first use the dehumidifier, set
the humidity control to 45% or 50%. Allow at
least 24 hours for the dehumidifier to achieve
the humidity level. If you still have damper air
than desired, set the humidity level to a lower
setting or select Continuous for maximum
dehumidification.
Display
Shows the set % humidity level while setting,
then shows the actual (+/– 5% accuracy)
room % humidity level.
Fan Speed Pad
Controls the fan speed.
Press to select either High, Medium or Low fan
speed.
Set the fan control to High for maximum
moisture removal. When the humidity
has been reduced and quiet operation is
preferred, set the fan control to Medium
or Low.
Delay Off
While the dehumidifier is in operation, press
this pad to set it to automatically turn off in 2
hours or 4 hours.

Other Features
BUCKET FULL Light
Glows when the bucket is ready to be emptied, or
when the bucket is removed or not replaced in the
proper position.
Alarm
If the bucket is full or missing for more than 3
minutes, an alarm will sound for about 10 seconds
to remind you to empty and replace the bucket.
Auto Shut Off
The Water Level Control Switch shuts off the
dehumidifier when the bucket is full, or when
the bucket is removed or not replaced in the
proper position. NOTE: Fan will continue to run
approximately 3 minutes after bucket is removed.
Auto Defrost
When frost builds up on the evaporator coils, the
compressor will cycle off and the fan will continue
to run until the frost disappears.
Power Outage
In the case of a power outage or interruption, the
unit will automatically restart, in the settings last
used, after the power is restored.

When first using the dehumidifier, operate the unit continuously for 24 hours.
Choosing a Location
A dehumidifier operating in a basement will have little
or no effect in drying an adjacent enclosed storage
area, such as a closet, unless there is adequate
circulation of air in and out of the area.
ŶDo not use outdoors.
ŶThis dehumidifier is intended for indoor residential
applications only. This dehumidifier should not be
used for commercial or industrial applications.
ŶPlace the dehumidifier on a smooth, level floor strong
enough to support the unit with a full bucket of water.
ŶAllow at least 12–18 inches of air space on all sides of
the unit for good air circulation.
ŶPlace the dehumidifier in an area where the
temperature will not fall below 41°F (5°C). The coils
can become covered with frost at temperatures
below 41°F, which may reduce performance.
ŶUse the dehumidifier in cooking, laundry, bathing
and dishwashing areas that have excessive moisture.
NOTE: Place the dehumidifier away
from the clothes dryer.
ŶUse the dehumidifier to prevent moisture damage
anywhere books or valuables are stored.
ŶUse the dehumidifier in a basement to help prevent
moisture damage.
ŶThe dehumidifier must be operated in an enclosed
area to be most effective.
ŶClose all doors, windows and other outside openings
to the room.

NOTE: The dehumidifier has rollers to aid placement,
but it should only be rolled on smooth, flat surfaces.
Do not attempt to roll the dehumidifier on carpet or
over objects.
How the Dehumidifier Operates
Moist, humid air is drawn over a cold refrigerated
dehumidifying coil. Moisture in the air condenses on
this coil and drains into a bucket (or through
a hose and drain).
Dry, clean air is drawn through the condenser where
it is heated and discharged out the top grille into the
room.
It is normal for the surrounding air to become slightly
warmer as the dehumidifier operates.
When frost builds up on the evaporator coils, the
compressor will cycle off and the fan will continue to
run until the frost disappears.
When the coil is defrosted, the compressor or fan will
automatically restart and dehumidifying will resume.

There are 2 ways to remove collected water:
Use the bucket. When the bucket is removed,
the unit will shut off. Empty and replace
the bucket.
IMPORTANT: Do not use the hose if using
the bucket to collect water. When the hose
is connected, water will flow through it onto
the floor instead of into the bucket.
NOTES:
ŶDo not remove the bucket while the
dehumidifier is operating or if it has just stopped
operating. This might cause some water to drip
from the drain pan.
ŶThe bucket must be in place and securely
seated for the dehumidifier to operate.
Use a hose. Water can be automatically
emptied into a floor drain by attaching
a garden water hose (not included).
1. Remove the bucket from the front of
the unit.
2. Open the drain cover on the side of
the unit.
3. Thread a garden hose (not supplied)
onto the nozzle, cut to length, and lead it
to the floor drain.
4. Replace the bucket in the unit.
NOTE: The bucket must be in place and securely
seated for the dehumidifier to operate.
Always make sure the water bucket is locked into place on the dehumidifier.
Water Level
The dehumidifier will turn off automatically
when the bucket is full, or when the bucket is
removed or not replaced in the proper position.
The bucket must be replaced in the proper position
for the dehumidifier to work. The light will be on
and the dehumidifier will not run if the bucket is not
in the proper position.

Turn off the dehumidifier and remove the plug from the wall outlet before cleaning.
Grille and Case
To clean the case:
Use water and a mild detergent. Do not use
bleach or abrasives.
To clean the front grille:
Use a vacuum attachment or brush.
Water Bucket
To clean:
Every few weeks, clean the bucket to prevent growth
of mold, mildew and bacteria. Partially fill the bucket
with clean water and add a little mild detergent.
Swish it around in the bucket, empty and rinse.
NOTE: Do not use a dishwasher to clean the
water bucket.
To remove:
Remove the bucket and pour out any water.
To replace:
Slide the bucket into the dehumidifier.
NOTE: The bucket must be in place and securely seated
for the dehumidifier to operate.
Air Filter
The air filter behind the front grille should
be checked and cleaned at least every 250 hours
of operation or more often if necessary.
After 250 hours of operation, the Clean the Filter
indicator light will glow to remind you to clean the
filter. Remove the filter and clean it. Replace the filter
and press the Filter Timer pad to turn off the Clean the
Filter light.
To remove:
Remove the bucket. Grasp the filter edge, and pull it
straight down and out.
To clean:
Clean the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse
and let the filter dry before replacing it.
NOTE: DO NOT rinse or put the filter in an automatic
dishwasher.
CAUTION:
NOTE: Avoid using a dishwasher to clean the filter.
DO NOT operate the dehumidifier without a filter because
dirt and lint will clog it and reduce performance.

doivent être retirés avant la mise au
rebut de l’appareil. Si vous mettez au
rebus un ancien appareil contenant des
fluides frigorigènes, vérifiez la procédure
à suivre auprès de la compagnie
responsable de l’élimination.
N’utilisez pas le déshumidificateur à
l’extérieur.
Ce déshumidificateur est seulement
conÁu pour une utilisation à l’intérieur
pour une application résidentielle. Ce
déshumidificateur ne doit pas être utilisé
pour des applications commerciales ou
industrielles.
Ces systèmes déshumidificateurs
R410A exigent que les entrepreneurs
et techniciens adoptent les outils, le
matériel et des normes de sécurité
approuvés pour utilisation avec
ce réfrigérant. N’utilisez pas de
matériel certifié pour le réfrigérant
R22 uniquement. N’utilisez PAS de
matériel certifié pour le réfrigérant R22
uniquement.
CONSIGNES DE SÉCURITÉ
Ne coupez pas ou n’enlevez pas, sous aucun
prétexte, la troisième broche de mise à la terre
du cordon d’alimentation. Pour des raisons de
sécurité, cet appareil doit être correctement mis à
la terre.
N’utilisez PAS d’adaptateurs avec cet appareil.
Le cordon d’alimentation de cet appareil est
équipé d’une fiche à trois broches (mise à la
terre) qui s’adapte à la prise de courant standard
à 3 broches (mise à la terre) pour minimiser les
risques de chocs électriques par cet appareil.
Faites vérifier les prises de courant et les circuits
par un électricien qualifié pour s’assurer que le
système est correctement mis à la terre.
Quand la prise de courant n’est équipée que
de 2 broches, l’installateur a la responsabilité et
l’obligation de la remplacer par une prise à trois
broches correctement mise à la terre.
L’humidificateur doit toujours être branché à sa
propre prise électrique d’une tension nominale
correspondant à sa plaque signalétique.
Ceci permet d’obtenir un meilleur rendement
du déshumidificateur et évite de surcharger
les circuits électriques du domicile qui en
surchauffant posent un risque d’incendie.

Touche d’alimentation
Appuyez sur cette touche pour allumer ou éteindre
le déshumidificateur.
Compteur horaire du filtre
Après 250 heures de fonctionnement, le voyant
´ Clean the Filter ª (nettoyer le filtre) s’allumera pour
vous rappeler de nettoyer votre filtre. Retirez le filtre
et nettoyez-le.
Appuyez sur la touche pour éteindre le voyant
´ Clean the Filter ª (nettoyer le filtre). Consultez la
section Entretien et Nettoyage.
Touches de réglage de l’humidité
Le niveau d’humidité peut être réglé dans une
gamme variant de 35% d’HR (humidité relative) à
80% d’HR par incréments de 5% ou sur CO pour
une utilisation en continue. Pour régler l’appareil
pour l’opération continuel, appuyer la flèche
descendante jusqu’à ce que l’écran revele CO.
REMARQUE : Si CO (en continu) est sélectionné,
le déshumidificateur fonctionnera en continu au
réglage de déshumidification le plus élevé si il est
relié à l’évacuation par un tuyau ou jusqu’à ce que
le collecteur soit plein dans le cas contraire.
Pour un air plus sec, appuyez sur la touche d
et réglez le déshumidificateur à un pourcentage
d’HR plus faible (%).
Pour un air plus humide, appuyez sur la touche cet
réglez le déshumidificateur à un pourcentage d’HR
plus élevé (%).
Lorsque vous utilisez le déshumidificateur pour la
première fois, réglez les commandes d’humidité sur
45 ou 50%. Attendez au moins 24 heures pour que
le déshumidificateur arrive à ce niveau d’humidité.
Si l’air est encore trop humide, réglez l’humidité sur
une valeur plus basse ou choisissez la fonction En
Continu pour une déshumidification maximale.
Affichage
Affiche le pourcentage d’humidité sélectionné
pendant le réglage, puis affiche le niveau
d’humidité réel dans la pièce (précision de
+/- 5%)
Touche de vitesse du ventilateur
ContrÙle la vitesse du ventilateur.
Appuyez sur cette touche pour choisir une vitesse
de ventilation levée, Moyenne ou Basse.
Réglez la vitesse du ventilateur sur levée pour une
élimination maximale de l’humidité. Une fois que
l’humidité a été réduite et qu’un fonctionnement
silencieux est préféré, réglez le ventilateur sur une
vitesse Moyenne ou Basse.
Délai avant arrêt
Lorsque le déshumidificateur est en
fonctionnement, appuyez sur cette touche pour
régler automatiquement un délai de 2 heures ou
de 4 heures avant l’arrêt de l’appareil.

Voyant BUCKET FULL (Seau plein)
Ce voyant s’allume lorsque le seau collecteur est prêt à être
vidé ou si celui-ci a été retiré de l’appareil ou n’a pas été
remis en place.
Alarme
Si le seau collecteur est plein ou absent pendant plus de
3 minutes, une alarme se déclenche pendant 10 secondes
pour vous rappeler de vider le seau et de le remettre en
place.
Arrêt Automatique
Le Commutateur de contrÙle du niveau d’eau éteint le
déshumidificateur lorsque le seau collecteur est plein ou si
celui-ci a été retiré de l’appareil ou n’a pas été remis en place.
Remarque :Le ventilateur continuera de fonctionner pendant
environ 3 minutes une fois le seau retiré
Dégivrage Automatique
Lorsque le givre s’accumule sur les serpentins d’évaporation,
le compresseur s’arrête et le ventilateur continue à
fonctionner jusqu’à disparition du givre.
Panne de courant
En cas de panne ou d’interruption de courant, l’appareil
redémarre automatiquement après rétablissement de
l’alimentation électrique et conserve les derniers réglages.

Lorsque vous utilisez le déshumidificateur pour la première fois, faites le fonctionner en continu pendant 24 heures.
Choix d’un Emplacement
Un déshumidificateur en fonctionnement dans un
sous-sol aura peu ou pas d’effet sur le séchage d’un
endroit de stockage fermé, comme un placard par
exemple, à moins qu’une circulation adéquate de l’air
dans le placard soit permise.
N’utilisez pas le déshumidificateur à l’extérieur.
Ce déshumidificateur est seulement conÁu pour
une utilisation à l’intérieur pour une application
résidentielle. Ce déshumidificateur ne doit pas
être utilisé pour des applications commerciales ou
industrielles.
Placez le déshumidificateur sur une surface plane et
de niveau, suffisamment robuste pour supporter le
poids de l’appareil contenant un seau rempli d’eau.
Laissez un espace de 12 à 18 pouces autour de
l’appareil pour une bonne circulation de l’air.
Placez le déshumidificateur dans une pièce où la
température ne descend pas en dessous de 5 °C
(41 °F). Les serpentins peuvent se couvrir de givre
à des températures inférieures 5 °C (41 °F), ce qui
réduit considérablement l’efficacité de l’appareil.
Utilisez le déshumidificateur dans des pièces utilisées
pour la cuisine, la lessive, le bain et la vaisselle et
ayant une humidité excessive. REMARQUE : Eloignez
le déshumidificateur de la sécheuse.
Utilisez le déshumidificateur pour éviter les
dommages dus à l’humidité dans toutes les pièces où
des livres ou des objets de valeurs sont rangés.
Utilisez le déshumidificateur dans un sous-sol pour
éviter les dommages par l’humidité.
Le déshumidificateur doit fonctionner dans une pièce
fermée pour une meilleure efficacité.
Fermez toutes les portes, fenêtres et autres
ouvertures de la pièce.

REMARQUE : Le déshumidificateur est équipé de
roulettes pour aider à son positionnement. Ces roulettes
ne doivent être utilisées que sur des surfaces planes
et lisses. N’essayez pas de faire rouler le
déshumidificateur sur une moquette ou sur des objets.
Fonctionnement du Déshumidificateur
L’air humide est entraÎné vers les serpentins réfrigérés
de déshumidification. L’humidité de l’air se condense
sur ce serpentin et s’écoule dans le seau collecteur
(ou par un tuyau d’évacuation).
L’air propre et sec est entraîné à travers le
condenseur où il est chauffé puis renvoyé dans la
pièce par la grille supérieure.
Il est normal que l’air autour du déshumidificateur soit
légèrement plus chaud que dans le reste de la pièce.
Lorsque le givre s’accumule sur les serpentins
d’évaporation, le compresseur s’arrête et le
ventilateur continue à fonctionner jusqu’à disparition
du givre.
Lorsque le serpentin est dégivré, le compresseur
ou le ventilateur redémarre automatiquement et la
déshumidification reprend.

Il y a deux faÁons de retirer l’eau collectée :
Utilisez le seau collecteur. Lorsque le seau est
retiré, l’appareil s’arrête de fonctionner. Videz le
seau et remettez-le en place.
IMPORTANT : N’utilisez pas le tuyau d’évacuation
si vous utilisez le seau pour récupérer l’eau.
Lorsque le tuyau est branché, l’eau passe par ce
dernier vers le sol au lieu d’être collectée dans le
seau.
REMARQUES :
Ne retirez pas le seau pendant que le
déshumidificateur est en fonctionnement ou
si ce dernier vient juste de s’arrêter. De l’eau
pourrait goutter dans le bac d’évacuation.
Le seau doit être en place et solidement
positionné pour que le déshumidificateur
fonctionne.
Utilisez le tuyau. L’eau peut s’évacuer
automatiquement vers le siphon de sol par
l’intermédiaire d’un tuyau d’arrosage (non
fourni).
1. Retirez le seau de l’avant de l’appareil.
2. Ouvrez le couvercle d’évacuation sur le cÙté
de l’appareil.
3. Fixez le tuyau d’arrosage (non fourni), coupé à
la longueur adéquate, à la buse et placez son
extrémité au niveau du siphon de sol.
4. Remettez le seau en place dans l’appareil.
REMARQUE : Le seau doit être en place
et solidement positionné pour que le
déshumidificateur fonctionne.
Assurez-vous toujours que le seau collecteur est verrouillé en place dans le déshumidificateur.
Niveau d’Eau
Le déshumidificateur s’éteint automatiquement
lorsque le seau est plein ou si celui-ci a été retiré de
l’appareil ou n’a pas été remis en place.
Le seau doit être repositionné correctement dans le
déshumidificateur pour que ce dernier fonctionne.
Le voyant sera allumé et le déshumidificateur ne
fonctionnera pas si le seau est mal positionné.

Fonctionnement du seau
NE PAS enlever la pièce en mousse à l’intérieur du
seau. Le déshumidificateur ne fonctionnera pas
correctement sans cette pièce.

Entretien et nettoyage du déshumidificateur
Eteignez et débranchez le déshumidificateur avant tout nettoyage.
Grille et Boîtier
Pour nettoyer le boîtier :
Utilisez de l’eau et un détergent doux. N’utilisez pas
d’eau de Javel ou de nettoyants abrasifs.
Pour nettoyer la grille avant :
Utilisez un aspirateur ou une brosse.
Seau Collecteur
Pour nettoyer le seau collecteur :
A quelques semaines d’intervalles, nettoyez le seau
collecteur pour éviter la prolifération de la moisissure
et des bactéries. Remplissez partiellement le seau
avec de l’eau propre et ajoutez une petite quantité de
détergent doux. Faites tourner l’eau et le détergent
dans le seau, puis videz celui-ci et rincez-le.
REMARQUE : Ne nettoyez pas le seau dans un
lave-vaisselle.
Pour retirer le seau :
Retirez le seau et videz l’eau.
Pour remettre le seau en place :
Faites glissez le seau dans le déshumidificateur.
REMARQUE : Le seau doit être en place et solidement
positionné pour que le déshumidificateur fonctionne.
Filtre à Air
Le filtre à air derrière la grille avant doit être vérifié et
nettoyé au bout de 250 heures de fonctionnement ou
plus souvent si nécessaire.
Après 250 heures de fonctionnement, le voyant Clean
the Filter (Nettoyer le filtre) s’allumera pour vous
rappeler de nettoyer votre filtre. Retirez le filtre et
nettoyez-le. Remettez le filtre en place puis appuyez
sur la touche Filter timer (Compteur horaire du filtre)
pour éteindre le voyant Clean the Filter (Nettoyer le
filtre).
Pour retirer le filtre
Retirez le seau collecteur. Attrapez le bord du filtre et
tirez-le vers le bas pour le sortir.
Pour nettoyer le filtre :
Nettoyez le filtre avec de l’eau savonneuse tiède.
Rincez le filtre et laissez-le sécher avant de le remettre
dans le déshumidificateur.
REMARQUE : NE rincez PAS et NE lavez PAS le filtre
dans le lave-vaisselle.
MISE EN GARDE : NE faites PAS
fonctionner le déshumidificateur sans le filtre sous peine de le
boucher avec de la poussière et de la charpie et de réduire son
efficacité.
REMARQUE : Evitez de nettoyer le filtre au
ave-vaisselle.
