Contents

1. Before connection, power off your transmitter,
flash, and camera.
2. Avoid dropping or shaking your C1Pro transmitter
to prevent damage.
3. Before extended periods of storage, power off
your transmitter and receiver, and uninstall the
batteries.
4. Install the batteries correctly. Incorrect installation
may lead to battery leakage or even explosion.
5. Do not store your transmitter in environments
with high heat: near a motor vehicle, under direct
sunlight, in the glovebox of a motor vehicle, etc.
6. Keep your transmitter dry. Do not operate under
rain. Do not submerge transmitter under water. Avoid
handling when your hand is wet. Failure to do so may
lead to damage to your C1Pro transmitter.
7. Do not operate transmitter near explosive or
inflammable materials to prevent risks of fire and
explosion.
8. The transmitter’s operations involve batteries.
Use the batteries in strict accordance to your local
regulations and related codes、 to prevent accident.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before you proceed, please thoroughly read and
understand this user’s manual. When shooting with
your C1Pro transmitter, ensure that all instructions
are correctly followed.

1. Your C1Pro transmitter supports flash modes
including E-TTL, E-TTL(II), i-TTL, M, and repeat/
MULTI flash mode.
2. With your C1Pro, you can use multiple sync modes
including front-curtain sync, rear-curtain sync, and
high-speed sync up to 1/8000 of a second.
3. Your C1Pro supports operational features including
Flash Exposure Compensation (FEC), Flash Exposure
Lock, and AF assist light.
4. With your C1Pro transmitter, up to 4 groups of flashes
can be set to distinct power output levels. When
needed, using mixed flash modes (TTL, M, Multi,
and illumination/modeling light) among 4 flash
groups is available.
5. Your C1Pro transmitter supports custom settings.
Your settings for your C1Pro are automatically saved.
6. Your C1Pro transmitter is capable of controlling
multiple receivers, flashes, and strobe lights at once.

●Installing Battery
Slide and open the battery compartment door on
the side of your C1Pro transmitter. Install 2 AA
batteries (not included) in the orientation of battery
terminals as indicated In the battery compartment.

●Battery Level Indication
Examine the battery level indicator on the screen’s
upper right corner to check battery level.

3 Bars: full battery
2 Bars: medium battery
1 Bars: Low battery
Contour only:
battery level critical, promptly replace batteries.
* The battery level indicator supports only AA alkaline
batteries. Do not use the above guide as reference
for NiMH battery levels since NiMH batteries tend
to have lower voltage.
WIRELESS OPERATION

Operation with Receiver-Equipped Hotshoe Flashes
Instructions made with Triopo R1 flash.
1.1 Power off your camera. Mount your C1Pro
transmitter securely onto your camera. Power
on the C1Pro transmitter and your camera.
1.2 On the C1Pro transmitter, press the function
button 1 (CH) to set your channel. Use group
selection buttons corresponding to A/B/C/D to
set desired parameters for your selected flash
groups. For more specific instructions on this
subject, please go to “Settings” section of this
user’s manual (pages 11 to 18).
1.3 Power on your hotshoe flashes. Press the wireless
setting button until < > wireless icon and
< > slave icon are shown on the flash displays.
Use the flashe’s < > to setup the flashes such
that they are placed in the same channel as your
transmitter and grouped to your desired
customization.
1.4 Your hotshoe flashes are now ready to be triggered
wirelessly by your C1Pro. Depress the shutter button
of your camera to trigger your flashes.

brand flashes.
3.1 Power off your camera. Mount your C1Pro
transmitter securely onto your camera. Power
on the transmitter, then your camera.
3.2 On the C1Pro transmitter, press the
function button 1 (CH) to set your
channel. Use group selection
buttons corresponding to A/B/
C/D to set desired parameters
for your selected flash groups.
For more specific instructions
on this subject, please go to
“Settings” section of this user’s
manual (pages 11 to 18).
3.3 Mount the flashes securely
onto the C1 receivers. Set the
C1 receivers such that they are
placed in the same channel as
your transmitter and are grouped to your desired
customization.
3.4 Your flashes are now ready to be triggered
wirelessly by your C1 Pro. Depress the shutter
button of your camera to trigger your strobe
flashes.

2.1 Power off your camera. Mount your C1Pro
transmitter securely onto your camera. Power
on the C1Pro transmitter and your camera.
2.2 On the C1Pro transmitter, press the function
button 1 (CH) to set your channel. Use group
selection buttons corresponding to A/B/C/D to
set desired parameters for your selected flash
groups. For more specific instructions on this
subject, please go to “Settings” section of this
user’s manual (pages 11 to 18).
2.3 Turn on your strobe lights. Press the wireless
setting button on all of them until the strobe
light displays show ( ) wireless icon. Use the
dial to setup your strobe lights such that they are
placed in the same channel as your transmitter
and grouped to your desired customization.

2.4 Your strobe lights are now ready to be triggered
wirelessly by your C1Pro. Depress the shutter
button of your camera to trigger your strobe lights.
WIRELESS OPERATION WIRELESS OPERATION

1. Your C1Pro transmitter will enter standby mode
with display off after a set period of inactivity.
2. Hibernation is activated after 30 minutes of inactivity.
You can wake up your C1Pro transmitter by operating
your camera or pressing the test button or power
button.

Long press the power button for 3 seconds to power
on your C1Pro transmitter.
Attention:
To avoid battery drainage, power off your C1Pro if it
will not be used for an extended period of time.
●Battery Saving Modes
To toggle the AF assist light on your C1Pro transmitter,
press <function 4 button> on your C1Pro transmitter
to enter custom settings menu. Dial [ ] AF
assist light On/off to [ ] to enable AF assist light.
When your camera finds it difficult to focus, the AF
assist light will turn on automatically. The assist light
will shut off following successful focusing.

●Channel Setup
1. Press <function button 1> to select the channel
( ).
2. Use the dial to select the appropriate channel number.
Press <function 1 button> again or the OK button
in the middle of the dial to confirm your new
channel setting.
3. Available channels are numbered channel 1 to
channel 16. Ensure that all receivers, flashes, and
strobe lights are on the same channel as your
transmitter.

●Flash Grouping
Select <A><B><C><D> to activate settings for the
corresponding flash group. Then, press <MODE> to
activate the group by selecting a flash mode. press
<group B select button> to select group Then,
press <MODE> to activate group B.

Repeat flash/MULTI mode
●Mode Setting
1. Select group with the group selection buttons on
your C1Pro transmitter. Then, press <MODE> to
change the flash mode of the selected group
among TTL mode, M mode, or OFF.

2. Repeat/MULTI mode: when no group is selected in
multi-group mode, press <MODE> button to enable
repeat flash (MULTI) mode.

●Magnifier
1. when shooting in multi-flash mode, the magnifier
enables more detailed settings for individual flash
groups. First, choose a desired group with group
selection buttons in multi-flash settings screen.
Then, press < > button to magnify the selected
group’s settings into a more detailed single
group settings screen. To quit the single group
settings screen, press < > again.

●Manual Mode (M): Output Setting
SETTINGS
1. In multi-group settings screen of your C1Pro
transmitter, select the group you wish to modify
with the group selection buttons. Then, using
the dial, set your desired output from 1/128
to 1/1 for the selected group. To confirm setting,
press the OK button in the middle of the dial.

2. In single group settings screen under manual (M)
mode, simply use the dial to set your desired
output from 1/128 to 1/1 for the individual group.
To confirm setting, press the OK button in the
middle of the dial.

●Repeat Flash Mode (MULTI) Settings
1. Set your C1Pro transmitter to repeat/MULTI mode.
When no group is selected in multi-group settings
screen, press <MODE> button to enable repeat
flash (MULTI) mode. M or TTL icons will not be
present in MULTI mode.
2. The three rows displayed in the MULTI setting
submenu are

Repetition Count

3. Using the dial to alter your flash power output in
the range of 1/128 to 1/1.
4. To set how many times per shot your flashes
repeat, use function 3 button corresponding to
“Times” to select the times value. Then, use the
dial to set the repetition count.
5. To set the frequency at which your flash repeats,
use function 2 button corresponding to “Hz” to
select the frequency value. Use the dial to set the
frequency in Hz (repetitions per second).
6. When you finish setting all three parameters, press
the OK button in the middle of your dial to quit the
settings submenu.
7. To quit the MULTI setting menu when no item is
selected, press the <MODE> button.

8. NOTE: The number of repetitions is limited by the
combination of flash power output and frequency.
Therefore, your set number of repetitions cannot
exceed system limit. The flash repetitions are sent
to receiving units as a sequence of independent
flash cycles. Consequently, the frequency of flash
is affected also by the shutter speed of your camera.

●Modeling Light Settings
1. In multi-group settings display, press< > button
to toggle all modeling lights.
2. In multi-group settings display, select groups with
group selection buttons, and individually toggle
modeling lights in the selected group with < >
button.

●Lock Screen Settings
1. Press < > button to lock the screen.
To unlock, press < > again.
●Zoom Settings
1. To alter zoom setting for a group of flashes, press
<ZOOM> button. When zoom setting is active, C1Pro
will display zoom settings for all groups. Using the
group selection buttons, select the group whose
zoom setting you wish to change. Then, use the
dial to set zoom between automatic setting and
manual setting ranging from 18mm to 180mm.

2. To quit the zoom setting screen, make sure no item
is selected and press <ZOOM> button.

1. Enabling high speed sync: press < > button until
[ ] icon is present on the screen.
2. Enabling rear curtain sync: press < > button until
[ ] icon is present on the screen.

●Factory Reset
To perform a factory reset on your C1Pro transmitter,
press <function 4 button/C. Fn button> to open the
custom settings menu. Then, long press the OK
button in the middle of the dial until screen shows
“RESET”. Then, press <function 2 button> to factory
reset your C1Pro transmitter.
